  1. On the plus side, Hawkgirl's head looks really fun!
  2. Speaking of the CMF wave, when is that supposed to happen? With all the leaks from sets, I'm surprised we haven't seen a drop from the CMF wave, especially if it's coming around the same time that the sets are?
  3. Off the top of my head, I think those arms might make for a nice Aya from GL:tAS! I really like the impression that the printing gives off on the Space-Bat, but I wish they would've done something with the helmet to make it more Batman-y, since it takes up most of the fig. Some sort of cowl print on the visor would've been a much appreciated touch that kept the main helmet piece in tact for those looking for new space-y opportunities, I think.I'm still of the mindset that this shuttle set is an easy pass, though. Too expensive, without any particularly high-alert need-level figures. Better to save the cash for the Egghead Mech, Harley Cannon, and JL Party as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't get your hopes up about that. DC's never used LEGO for promotional materials in their direct-to-video features, save for the proper LEGO ones, and this is going to be a pretty brutal and mature movie: serial homicide of prostitutes and all that. I would, however, not be too surprised if he showed up in the CMF wave, since all the parts exist now and there aren't a lot of suits visible on screen left to pad out the second wave. That and the Beyond suit are my two hopes for the CMF line, and I don't think it's too pie-in-the-sky to think they'd happen this time around.
  4. I found the new Bat-suits, but nothing about Captain Boomerang? I have to agree to an extent, though: the new cowl mold seems like a bit of a waste. The figure looks a lot nicer for it, but it makes me wish that the designers on the movie maybe dedicated that wishful thinking into a unique helmet for Hawkgirl. I find it interesting that Lego would go to that much trouble for a one-off Batsuit but not go so far as to print the details on to the Hawkgirl helmet they're giving us, or do Green Arrow's arm printing, or give Superman boots. There were so many better places for that money to go, but I guess Batman trumps all, even in cases like this. :/ I'm interested to see what people will do with the new red cowl, though, and the green-white molded arms will be nice and useful!
  5. I present to you all... The Ray and the Freedom Fighters!
  6. I'm not familiar with a lot of these guys, but the two that stand out most to me are your spot-on Flamingo and Gaggy!
  7. This character creator in particular, or the concept within Lego games in general? If it's the former: because they're actually allowing a decent level of customization this time rather than just getting half of the most useless parts. If it's the latter: because Lego has a tendency to overlook lots of great characters and this gives us the opportunity to put them in ourselves, plus building and customizing your own experience is kinda the core of the Lego brand.
  8. Wow, those are actually pretty different from the usual combos! I love it!
  9. I'd much rather we not get stylized figures, but judging by the already existing pieces and prints for them, I'd be surprised if they didn't look like the Dimensions figures. If they wind up stylized, I think the only thing that'll get me to buy one of those sets is the HIVE Five (although the look they had for Cyborg in Dimensions is nice...)
  10. As much as I adore the fact that we're getting Champions DLC, I'm a little concerned as to how small that pack will be. We know that Ms. Marvel will be in the main game, as will Miles Morales and I think Nova?? So that leaves Viv Vision, Amadeus Cho, Cyclops, and maybe Red Locust? That's only 4, maybe 5 characters. I'm really interested to see what characters they find to include in the Cloak and Dagger pack, because I assume that'll be predominately based on the tv show, which only seems to have the two super-folks. The Runaways level will be awfully interesting, too, with as dark as that stuff is. As a die-hard Squirrel Girl fan, I am SO excited to see Chipmunk Hunk and Koi Boy make their first multimedia appearance! That takes this game from a want to a need for me (which is saying a lot, because I don't own a single console that this will run on! ) Also: I caught a glimpse of the new character creator, and they went above and beyond this time! Neck accessories are a thing again, and presumably capes, and you can even pick different left and right arms and legs!
  11. Might I ask why, exactly? It's not common to find anyone that excited about having a wave of presumably comic-based sets replaced with ones with highly-stylized figures from a less than beloved franchise
  12. It just occured to me: any hopes we had for our summer wave are probably dashed in favor of TTG stuff. </3
  13. Thanks! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
  14. We don't have any precedent for that. DC's only had two theatrically-released animated movies: Mask of the Phantasm (which is way too much of a production mess to be indicative of anything) and the LEGO Batman Movie, which obviously got a whole lot of sets. Teen Titans Go, on the other hand, has a lot of precedent for LEGO representation. Not only did they get loose tie-in representation in the Jokerland set, but Dimensions has 3/5 of the team, and what's got me most convinced that we'll see something, Beast Boy even had an entirely new mold for his hair that only fits his TTG appearance. That new mold and the success of TTG's merchandise leads me to believe that we'll be seeing at least *something* for this movie.
  15. I'm hoping - although it's highly unlikely - that there will be some third set that includes Valkyrie's white costume and Loki's third costume, or at least a polybag release of either of them.
  16. I'm not super thrilled by the set, which makes me super thrilled! I can never afford these expensive sets, so I prefer them to be nice but not necessary, and this fits the bill quite nicely! While I'd love to have these exclusive figures, I'm mostly interested in half of them for parts, and the others I can live without just fine. It certainly would be nice, though, if they did what the Ninjago movie is doing and put the exclusive figures in the CMF line, too, or at least slight variants of some of them, like Nightwing with a different face print or something.
  17. Suppose we oughta fix that! Here's three new figs! Mr. Terrific Wild Dog Isis
  18. I wasn't personally counting it because it wasn't part of the main LEGO DC Superheroes brand of sets, just like I wasn't counting DC Superhero Girls, the LEGO Batman Movie, or the original Batman theme. We've got 3 members of the TTG team: Raven, Beast Boy, and Starfire. As far as a normal Teen Titans lineup is concerned, though, we definitely need a different, more traditional Raven.
  19. Bumblebee *is* the only member of the DCSHG team we haven't gotten yet. The shame is, that's the only place she's getting much use, which would make it pretty unlikely of them to put her in anything outside of that line. She's not even in the comics consistently these days. Maybe if Legends of Tomorrow or Flash introduce her as Ray Palmer's protege, or she gets a few episodes of JLA under her belt, we could see her pop up in a set. Honestly, I'm surprised that DC hasn't tried to do more with her now since DCSHG is taking off. Seems like the perfect opportunity to cross-promote. I was just referring to DC sets, but even then, she's also in there with Rocket, a more "marketable" male hero And it's a set sold on Superman, with Diana being framed as a damsel in distress (even though she's not susceptible to Kryptonite?? Why wouldn't she be saving Superman from the giant robot full of his only weakness?? instead of the other way around????) Either way, though, I think we can all agree that we have a lot of female characters that definitely need to make appearances sooner than later. Zatanna, Stargirl, Batwoman, Huntress, Big Barda, Raven, Vixen, Power Girl, the list goes on. It certainly couldn't hurt to rerelease the old ones, too, like Batgirl, Katana, and Supergirl. Come to think of it, it's about time we do a New Gods set with Mr. Miracle, Big Barda, and Granny Goodness, with a Flash or a Superman thrown in for good measure, since they aren't the most household of names just yet.
  20. It certainly is the cheapest wave (which I didn't quite realize, but oh thank god) but we've still yet to see a $20 set with a female hero, and we've still yet to see a non-exclusive set with *only* a female hero, or at the very least one that isn't taking a back seat to a more prominent hero (i.e. Batman or Superman) that's clearly meant to be the selling point. Then again, Lego's never been great at gender diversity, made evident by they're reaction to such criticism being a bright pink dollhouse theme segregated from the rest of the Lego line instead of, y'know, more female characters in existing sets. To be fair, though, it's been a problem with toy companies since the 80s, and Lego's doing a lot better than most and getting a lot better every year. This might be getting a bit too off topic, though, so maybe we oughta refocus.
  21. I'm specifically referring to JUST the main series sets. Any progress shown from The LEGO Batman Movie sets should be accredited to the movie's creative team before LEGO itself. I can't say much for the Mighty Micros, but it's worth acknowledging that all of our female characters for the 2018 wave are coming in the two most expensive sets, although (and I could easily be very wrong about this) that sounds like the most female characters we've ever gotten in a single wave.
  22. To be fair, we've got Captain Cold, Trickster, Gorilla Grodd, Reverse Flash, and Captain Boomerang, which is more villains than anyone save for Batsy himself has, although Heatwave, Weather Wizard, and Mirror Master definitely oughta get some representation sooner or later. That is an excellent, excellent point. If we only count proper heroines in only DC Superheroes sets (so no Dimensions or LBM) we've only gotten 6. The cheapest set featuring a female hero was Power Armor Lex for $20 back in the first wave, and the closest we've come since is Supergirl's $25 appearance in the Brainiac Attack set, which was a store exclusive. Batgirl's the next cheapest for $50, but that's the only set she's been in. Starfire and Katana are both top-shelf, at $120 and $80 respectively, and again with only one appearance. And of course number 6 is Vixen - an SDCC exclusive. It's not hard to chock that up to Lego insisting that these characters aren't going to sell in sets unless they're backed by a male hero (the only one of these sets that doesn't include a male hero is arguably the Wonder Woman movie set, which still has civilian Steve Trevor as an active participant). Something needs to change there.
  23. Sounds like just enough heroes for the CMF to pick up the slack. That would be 7 total, including Black Canary and the Wonder Twins, which is ever so slightly more than the number of Bat-variants in the last wave. Sounds plausible to me, but it's just speculation on my end, unless anyone wants to swoop in with a leak or some insider info
