  1. This is awesome, I'm amazed you managed to get so much detail into it.
  2. I would definitely take the space station, and perhaps the bank (mainly for the security van and green suitcases). Otherwise, I'm mostly unimpressed with the new line-up, I have to say. I miss these old-style astronauts:
  3. As well as the PoP set I picked up yesterday, won a feeBay auction for used plates. Now wondering whether it was actually a good idea!
  4. Okay, so both ambulances have doors at the back. But the question still hasn't been answered, and I'm very curious myself.
  5. Not bad at all! It looks like only the larger one has a door at the back, but I really like the designs of both vehicles. Now get to work building it!
  6. This reminds me of a Hindu temple, and it's an excellent build.
  7. Thank you both for the compliments, I appreciate it. I wasn't actually sure if I should put this out, but it's something I don't usually do at the moment. I'll see what I can do!
  8. One of those rare occasions where a Channel 4 "top list" got the #1 spot right! It's great to know that Lego is still popular, and I'd suspect that the AFOL community has a lot to do with it.
  9. I came across an article in a free newspaper a while ago, about futuristic designs for aircraft. One design that particularly stood out was the SkyLifter: an Australian aircraft currently in development... I really wanted to make a replica of the craft based on the available imagery. It would have been extremely simple to build a miniature, but as usual I wanted my model to hold a minifigure. The main problem came when trying to build the balloon: even though I managed to get the shape, using plates initially, I couldn't figure out how to join all the sides up. That's when I decided to create a spin-off craft instead. And who would be driving the SkyPod, but none other than... More pictures on BrickShelf, when it's all set up, here. Enjoy.
  10. Nice! Everything looks good, particularly the boat carrying the fridge.
  11. I've just followed your lead. Also bought four more S2 minifigures from an adams kids concession - three karate champs and a pop star. Missed out on a random lot of parts on feeBay.
  12. I like this vehicle! That orange part is one of the most awkward to use, and you've incorporated it very well.
  13. I've bought a few figures on BL already (mainly gorillas). Some sealed boxes of S3 figures have started to show up on there recently, but I have to force myself to be patient and wait for them to come out over here.
  14. 3179 (Repair Van) and the last City advent calendar just this morning, from John Lewis. £20 for the both of them.
  15. Very tempting collection! I would be keen on the blue, green, perhaps orange and transparent pieces, as well as the printed parts and any spare accessories/incomplete minifigures. I know customs would bend me over, however.
  16. Nope, I don't agree with this depiction of the tube. Where are the fat people? The screaming kids in SUBs/SUPs? Idiots blocking the entrances? Just kidding , I think it's a very cool MOC. I also wondered how you managed to create the curved wall, but it works!
  17. I've had a look at a packet I've recently received, and the bumps are barely visible.
  18. Received an S3 fisherman from a random bag bought on BrickLink.
  19. I'm building an army of S3 gorillas. Have a look at my BrickLink store and see if there's anything you want for yours. Am open to international trades.
  20. Where from? I want one!
  21. Something unbelievable has happened... I'M A FINALIST!
  22. Why not?
  23. I want one of those... excellent work! It reminds me of Robocop 2.
  24. Thank you for the compliments, buddy and iamded (and anyone I've missed).
  25. Very smooth execution! I can almost see it against a backdrop of tall trees.
