  1. Those are some sweet tools!
  2. I'm going to be controversial... Although I've said I'd scream shenanigans if Matn didn't win a prize, congratulations to the winners - and respect should go to everybody who entered. It was a bigger turnout than I'd thought, and I was impressed with many of the original ideas brought. I would like to see the spread of votes: mainly because I want to see if my duck has been broken, but also because I'm hoping the votes weren't spread too thinly. I thought everybody deserved to have at least one vote.
  3. Hello girly member!
  4. I've been trying to build a six-stud wide SUV with great difficulty. Anyhow, I came across this thread by accident, and I have to say you did a great job.
  5. Got the spy pack today, and was very pleased with my free item. Looks like I got in there just in time. As a small note to clarify: the golden gun is pearly gold.
  6. Well done on your first MOC! It looks like a very cleanly-built and well laid out bicycle shop. The only thing I think it's missing is a big sign at the front, or perhaps a billboard or a-frame, to show it's a bicycle shop (although you have a small sign at the top).
  7. I guess it's up for debate, but for me it's more about the creative ideas. Something that looks professional is always nice, and there's many examples of people whose creations have been sanded with virgin angel hairs, but it seems people forget that not everybody is able to produce things to that level, or that they're just starting out (including me). Anyhow... using the minifig trophy for the hologram projector was a stroke of genius; it's just a shame it's not available in a transparent colour. Well done on the medieval helmet and weapon too.
  8. Looks like my prediction was half-correct. I'm going to grab me one of the limited edition spy packs, if for no other reason than to get the Golden Gun (right now I have a gold nozzle, which is just as cool).
  9. I think it looks all right, but having seen the prices of the other Architecture sets I think I'll give it a miss.
  10. Just so happens I might be on the market for some body wear, having looked at these amazing examples. I would make them myself, but it would be a lot better to have them made in cloth (which I don't have access to, and I'm not so good with).
  11. I'm particularly liking the new backpack on the robber, as a few of you guys seem to. I'm trying to build a small army of police officers, so it would have been nicer to have smaller packs of just policemen and just robbers. I've found that robbers/criminals are easier to come by.
  12. Thanks again folks. Yes, the torso is a custom decal (made by me).
  13. Thank you too!
  14. Why thank you!
  15. This was my backup entry for the cosplay minifig contest, which I thought I'd do on the side, in case something went horribly wrong. In the end I went for my first choice (Jessica Rabbit) because I didn't think this candidate would be as recognisable. Theme: Ghostbusters Character: Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man Cost: around GBP 4 (including existing materials). Additional Images: Brickshelf gallery I have no idea where this came from, but I may have been inspired by one of the latter American Pie films (where someone dresses up as a sheep). The vignette was made without a reference picture: it's meant to be the building in the first movie where the final battle takes place. Fortunately I had all the parts required to build it in my inventory. Enjoy!
  16. Props to you for creating this! I know for a fact I never would have gotten away with doing something along the same lines.
  17. Excellent construction!
  18. That's an excellent building job. I really like the use of the digger arms, as well as the choice of wheels... I'm also surprised there hasn't been anything like this put out (although there have been a couple of small diggers). Keep on digging!
  19. Heard about the new LDD last night over at BrickLink, and played a little with it once it had installed. I'm liking what I see a lot! The best part so far is the outlining of parts feature, which makes the whole conceptualising process a lot easier. I spent a bit of time just opening up old projects to see what they look like.
  20. A very nice addition to the street! I like the idea of a small "private" eaterie place, and the building reminds me of a three-floor restaurant that was featured in Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.
  21. My votes: 1 point to tin7 2 points to Globemaster.
  22. Well done on this entry! It looks like you've put a lot of thought and work into it.
  23. Excellent use of the beard piece for Goku, and I just love that wheelchair.
  24. I'm incredibly impressed with this one, everything has been professionally customised. If you don't rank highly I'm going to cry shenanigans!
