  1. I'd find myself going into an uncontrollable black rage. But even after sorting through countless unsorted lots and scrutinising everything, I've found the odd clone brick in my private stash.
  2. Not to worry, I just thought I'd broken the whole thing.
  3. Out of curiosity, what's happening?
  4. Does it really come with... train tracks?
  5. I haven't seen that movie (the old version, thank you) in years.
  6. It's taken around seven months, but I've finally amassed a small army of Gorilla Suit Guys. My original aim was to collect 101 of them, but after a miscount I ended up with 99 (a nice round number). My thanks go to everybody who helped me build the collection, as annoying as I've been. I plan on doing something practical with all of these figures - I have an idea brewing as I speak.
  7. It should still be around somewhere.
  8. I've just pre-ordered two boxes worth, and I'm curious as to whether they'll be in sealed boxes or as separate packs. Now I just have to remember to have enough in the bank for when I get charged.
  9. I'm closing my BrickLink store (link below), and everything is discounted up to 45%. I'm still open to trades. The Buzz Lightyear suit has been taken.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_klmced-sA
  11. I submitted my turn yesterday, unfortunately no figure in the three-legged seat-with-rocket-things-on-it. Hopefully everything's all good.
  12. I did once: I bought 20 Series 2 minifigures from the States, during the time they were out, and got hit with a charge. I'm pretty sure the seller entered a much larger amount than the figures were worth (bought for) on the customs form. But I also bought a much bulkier Lunar Limo from the States, and a few other items... and didn't get charged.
  13. Just remembered: +1 to minifig_gal for a good trade. (Unfortunately I have a -1 for someone, but this isn't the place for it.)
  14. Coffee power! I'm surprised this isn't part of an actual set, but you've done well.
  15. I actually got rid of the old grey and brown parts from my collection, for consistency. There have been times when I've used brown tiles because I didn't have reddish brown, however.
  16. I use dry rub decal paper whenever possible, and I use the clear variety. It can be difficult to get a clean application, but it's definitely worth it. One thing to be careful of is your printer accepting the paper - my wireless Epson printer does't recognise it (it passes it through), whereas other printers I have access to will. You will also probably have to print your decals in reverse to have them stick the right way around.
  17. John Lewis at Brent Cross (for anyone in the vicinity) has at least three boxes of S3 minifigures left, selling for 75p each. They also have some of the smaller discounted Atlantis sets. Keep an eye out at the Oxford Circus branch for sets in damaged boxes, I've come across a couple.
  18. Another +1 for charlieboy, representin'.
  19. Very nice! A perfectly-sized building which is simple yet elegant. If you can find some room, perhaps add a milkshake-making machine.
  20. I've updated the Westfield entry on BrickBuildr. Marvel at our comparatively limited choice of parts.
  21. This is awful. Just kidding I'm trying to figure out how you mounted the transparent baseplate. In any case, I like the amount of detail you have underwater, and how dynamic everything looks!
  22. For a moment there I thought, "what the heck does tilting the floor mean?" I just can't read. Anyhow, this is a really good effort, and I like that you've made good use of red bricks. If you could add some tiles to the walls to represent picture frames, that would be cool.
  23. One thing has always been demonstrated: I much prefer actual photos than computer renderings. All of a sudden I'm keen on Series 5 a little bit more, even to the point where I might start collecting Royal Guards. The only disappointment is so many figures being in threes. It will be interesting to see which of the figures get hoarded and sold for ridiculous prices in the long run. I personally won't be building as large an army of figures as Gorillas... unless, of course, I can. I called the Graduate from the beginning, and now the war is on!
  24. That's an excellent distribution, if it's true - at least there aren't any twos - but it's going to be a fight for those Graduates.
