  1. Not to brag, but I picked up three scientists (mostly for the flask) today in John Lewis, However, they were from three opened boxes. It does seem that the scientists are the first to go. I found them by feeling for the rubbery hair. If you come across a squishy hairpiece when feeling, you've got it. If you feel a giant "tooth", that's the Hazmat guy.
  2. +1 for brenden perkins - proof that US<->UK trades are possible!
  3. John Lewis is clearing out again! They have 30% off certain sets... unfortunately most of the Atlantis sets (which were on offer) have gone. They still have Series 3 collectible minifigures at GBP 1.50 each.
  4. Going by mine and Amperzand's analyses, it seems that the orders of minifigures are random.
  5. This reminds me of Kwik Fit, a garage company we have over here with a similar colour scheme. I didn't know they made that garage door part in (opaque) blue!
  6. "In Soviet Russia dog walks you."
  7. Awesome work on both buildings! I've always wondered why city diners had that kind of "trailer" design, but yours was executed very well. I also like the triangular pattern on the cinema front very much.
  8. I've decided to start parting my figures out on BrickLink, as trading (on my end) has gotten quiet.
  9. Welcome to the show! Already looking forward to seeing your creations.
  10. The Artist is still my favourite of the collectibles thus far... but I've develope a slight craving for the Hazmat guys. With the exception of the head they've been very well executed, and they look good just about anywhere.
  11. I think I remember seeing Space Police sets in the Lego stores, just after I came out of my dark age, but there wasn't anything I was keen on getting. It wasn't very prominent.
  12. For anyone who wants them, the front and back of this month's Lego store calendar.
  13. It's still in the list!
  14. Put me down for a 5984.
  15. Anyone else notice those tan door and window frames? The lighthouse island set looks particularly cool, especially the alternative model. It reminds me of one of the water rides at Chessington (or was it Thorpe Park?).
  16. Hello Daedalus, Unfortunately some sellers are very slow to deliver, but many of them are very quick to invoice. Anyway: first check their store's splash page and terms for any information on delivery times, as some sellers leave notices there. If there is a problem on their end it should be their responsibility to communicate. If you've waited a week or longer between replies with no response, I would file an NRS (non-responding seller) issue against them via the Problems page.
  17. I signed up for one (I mean, it) a while back, and with my luck it's arrived at my old address within the past week - I'd waited a lot longer then 28 days.
  18. Yes they do!
  19. Got back from Westfield's Lego store a few minutes ago, and here's Si-Mizzle with the headlines: - First and foremost: spend £35 in store and get a free small PAB cup - I think it lasts for the best part of this month. There's also an up and coming mini model build on the 7th, as well as a special one to mark the royal wedding that's apparently going on: from the printed calendar it looks like it'll be a pair of minifigures with some flowers. I will be at AFOLcon so I won't be able to grab them. - As you can imagine the new Ninjago spinners were in stock. I got myself a Nya, as didn't fancy waiting eight weeks for HDNL/YODEL or a BrickLink seller. - Extra good news in the build-a-fig section: they now have parts from the Series 1 collectibles. You can build complete clowns and magicians (w/o accessories), but there are also forestmen caps, cheerleader heads and nurse's hair. If you're lucky you'll also find a few more parts, such as these: But be warned, black hips/legs are very scarce over there (at time of writing). - The PAB wall is now mostly bricks in several sizes and colours, but a healthy section is now devoted to Hero Factory parts: some black connectors and some other body parts in various colours. - They still have a number of keyrings and the female and City magnets set discounted. A Star Wars magnet set (with C-3PO and Leia) is also discounted. - If you buy the Ramses Pyramid game (at GBP 19.99) from the store, you'll also get double VIP points.
  20. So we've lost a skateboarder and a punk rocker for the two scientists. I can live with that... Thanks for the find!
  21. This looks pretty good! A lot of work must have gone into the background, it looks really authentic.
  22. Very nice! I can almost hear the announcer: "I'm sorry to announce that the 13:50 train to somewhere is delayed by approximately thirteen hours."
  23. Another update! Plenty of werewolves... in fact too many werewolves.
  24. All the way from Brazil?! You've got good eyesight!
  25. As mentioned in the UK Sales thread (and apologies for the double post), I came across S4 in John Lewis at Brent Cross. Going through my pickup right now.
