The 'biker' torso is Rex Fury from Lego City Undercover. He'll likely have the quiff hair that the CMF stunt driver and MF Frank Rock had. The tattoo on the arm is identical so it can only be him. I imagine from an exclusive or 2nd half of the year City set.

Why wouldn't a paintballing set make it to city? we've had a cross country motorbike set. equally niche interest. I'm entirely sceptical about the series nine list. It just seems made up by some kid sort of stuff. And these parts showing up in the database seems to indicate that these parts have recently been produced. Ergo series nine.
-
I reckon the biker guy and paintball guy are upcoming City figures. So take them out and the tin soldier, put in the chicken suit guy and Dr. Splitz and you've got series nine.

The Chiahuahua looks more like a baby bear to me. I see one or two items from my minifig designs. Bald head piece, paint kettle and paint roller, painters cap. The sky diver is also in my designs as is Medusa and the painter. The medusa will probably have a snake tail rather than legs. The Genie one not the Ninjago one. She looks wrong with legs.

Lego Lord of the Rings video game for mac, will it happen?
Jargo replied to mpaisana's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Lego may have to cancel the production of the game altogether. The Tolkien estate are suing the producers of the movies stating that the license does not include 'intangible products' such as video games. The license to use the characters and settings only extends to 'tangible products' such as Lego construction sets and prop replicas or action figures. Real things. There's also a hullabaloo about the use of LOTR characters in casino gambling games. So, depending on the outcome of the case Lego may be forced to scrap any LOTR or Hobbit games.- 11 replies

I was imagining a sort of bowl shaped rock fortress. Y'now so the outer walls are sort of angled outwards rather than straight up like a regular castle. And the inner side of the wall is angled too. Then an entrance gateway with an eagles head over the arch so the lions and so on would enter through a gateway in it's open beak sort of thing. And a central tower keep that has a big Chi crystal in a cupola atop the tower. Not that that's likely but it'd be nice if it was something like that.
-
Ooooh, I see it now. Yeah you might be right. Yes, those small new feathered wings from the Chima Eagle vehicles seems the most likely piece. Guess i was just seeing what I wanted to see.
-
Wonder if the castle will resemble a nest?

I don't think it's wings on the orange robot. I think it might be either a jet pack or he has wheels instead of legs. Looking at him sat in the vehicle his back extends to a single point and then there's a bit out the side extending it to body width. So perhaps he's got a three or four wheel lower half? Maybe it's just a weapon that swings round to his left hand? Won't know until someone buys the set and opens it up.
-
Not sure I like the blue robot, but the orange one is great. And orange helmets *SQUEE!* Loving the vehicles in the Bug Obliterator set. We were all wrong about the insect in the Dragonfly vehicle, It's just another Mosquito. Still, Very nice to see proper pictures of sets so thank you CupIsHalfEmpty. Much appreciated. I'm going off the Mosquitoes in favour of the Beetle/Scorpion guy. He just looks way more evil than the Mosquitoes.

Well speaking of licenses, I'd love lego versions of How to train your Dragon and Dragons - Riders of Berk. At least ten different types of Dragon, visually interesting Vikings. An array of buildings and the islands they sit on. Not to mention boats and ships. And a sheep named Fungus. I know Lego has done Dragons in Harry Potter, Fantasy castle and Ninjago but you can't go wrong with Dragons and you can never have too many. Also the main characters are young teens which always sits well with Lego's target market. There's also the villainous Outcasts with their leader Alvin the treacherous. Lots of potential for Dragon riders versus Outcasts sets. A ship to bring them to the island of Berk is essential . And Trader Johann would also come with his boat. I suppose a fishing boat could be included with any village set. I probably haven't thought this through enough and I'm terrible at selling ideas. You get my general drift though.

I'm sure there's a technical term for it like 'sewer maintenance access point' but generally it's referred to as a manhole cover.

My 69 year old mum has got into Lego. I'm going to buy her the house. She'll love it.

I wasn't being critical. Just to make that clear. Well, maybe just a little bit on the Speedor bikes efficiency.

Two things I thought today looking at the recent pics of the minifigs. 1. This seems quite bloody for a theme. These characters are maimed and wounded. Quite grisly and grim really. 2. Why are the bloody wounds of Longtooth the same on his helmet as on his face? Surely the helmet should have grey scarring if it is a helmet. Or are the masks supposed to be their actual faces and the head printing underneath is there to keep purists quiet? Also, 3. If the Speedor bikes were real, the rear end would be dragging on the ground and they wouldn't be very efficient as a means of transport. Also also, 4. I'm curious as to why they went with Ravens and not Vultures. The Ravens are cool but ugly Vultures would have made more sense. In terms of wild animals kicking the snot out of each other. I mean, Lions, Eagles, Wolves, Crocodiles, Gorillas and......... Ravens. It just doesn't spring to mind given the other animals and their size and strength.

That's an atrociously bad video. I couldn't watch it. Has the kid never heard of light bulbs?

You're forgetting that the figure is sitting in a cockpit so he's not too far into the ship he's sitting one or two plates lower than the front wedge. and for a wide insect head the proportions of what I say is the head are about right. The mosquito alien's head is two studs wide so why wouldn't the dragonfly alien's be two studs wide? Whatever it is you say is the head seems to be the wide end of a tail poking up behind the head and wings. Anway, I'm not going to argue. We shall see when better images emerge. I'm going to agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Love the Wargs. I like the minifigures too but I'm not really interested in them or anything else from the set apart from the Wargs.

It's easier to spot looking at the original image. The purple cocoon has something extending from it, pointing forwards and slightly to the right of the figure. Possibly a dragonfly alien tail. Below that is a large greenish head that has big black compound eyes. below the eyes is a dark triangle shape where the mouth is. his arm is black and his torso has a grey look. on his left shoulder you can see the trans green wing against the lime green/trans neon yellow wing parts of the vehicle. His legs are hidden by the back end of the lime green/trans neon yellow angled wedge that forms the vehicle nose. In the pics Dannylonglegs posted, where he says 'this is the torso' he's actually highlighted the head.

Only reason for thinking the beetle might not have wings is that they fold them into their casings when not in flight. Unlike dragonflies and mosquitoes. Also there is quite clearly a minifigure in that picture with a green head and compound eyes of black. below the purple cocoon.
-
Well, the red minifigure has four eyes and no antennae. So it's the Scorpion and the segmented body and rear of the head give that away. Certain Scorpions have a raised crest at the back of the head very much like this figure. the Mantis and Dragonfly should have bulbous protruding eyes like the Mosquito while the Beetle should have one pair of small eyes. All the aliens apart from the Scorpion should have antennae. I suspect the Beetle and the Scorpion will be the only ones without some form of wings. The red alien exclusive to the Mantis set may just be regular red. In my google search I only found brown and green Mantis' but given how bright this theme is colour wise a red Mantis wouldn't be that far off a brown one. The German write up may also be wrong. Perhaps the Mantis set alien is dark orange not red. Preliminary images in a catalogue are often poor quality and dark orange often looks red in them. I'm not sure about the dragonfly figure being grey. It looks dark blue or black to me.

I think the grey printing on the snout of the black wolf is what's throwing people off. And i think there's a black wolf in the same way as there's a brown crocodile, just for a bit of variety.
