LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 9 Rumours & Discussion
Jargo replied to muscleman's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Until someone can show me pictorial proof I'll remain sceptical. -
If Lego pull their finger out and get the sets on the shelves right at the beginning of January they'll catch kids spending christmas money. And parents who will get a nostalgia kick seeing them. "It's for little Johnny. Honest it is....."

Dr. Splitz is from Captain Simian and the space monkeys. So that's a noooooooooo on this list. -
More sets will depend pretty much on how well the first wave sell. If they aren't a hit with kids then there'd be no point in Lego making any more. There are other characters that Lego could pit the turtles against in a future wave though. Snakeweed, Spider Bytez, Leatherhead, Flaming carrot, Rat king, Bigfoot to name a few. And Lego would place Turtles in almost every set regardless of how many times they'd been in sets. The Turtles are the heroes. What would be cool is battle packs. One with all four Turtles and Splinter and one with Shredder and four Foot ninjas. I reckon those would literally fly off the pegs.

ninJARgo? Legends of shEEma? Is that guy for real.

It's a bit of a bummer that you get new police uniforms in the sets and then the guy who is obviously the team leader is a rarity. Having said that he wouldn't be much of a team leader without a radio. How would he communicate with his team? There'd be chaos.

Yet according to the set pictures that torso doesn't appear in the sets. Similar yes, but not that one.

The orange on black is supposed to represent a hi-viz tabard style vest rather than a jacket. Motorcycle fire and police wear them over their leathers.

Wonder if there'll be mousers in the Baxter set. I can't see the set containing more than Baxter in his suit, mousers and a couple of minifigures. I think it'll be about the same size set as 6862: Superman Vs Power Armor Lex. Just because something is exclusive doesn't mean it'll be a big set. It's bound to be the set that has alternative face Donatello if there is an alt Don. Maybe it'll be the only set to have April.

The results of my afternoon of laptop monitor gazing with regards to how many characters there are: 4 Unique lions 4 unique Ravens 4 unique eagles 4 unique crocodiles + 2 re-uses 3 unique wolves One of the crocodiles is re-used twice to create a soldier without armour and with a plain olive mask. Making the crocodiles the largest faction. There doesn't appear to be similar re-use of parts in the other factions. I disregarded the Speedorz sets as they just re-use the main character from the large sets and offer no different minifigs. I feel we should get behind the wolves as they are the minority and Lego are discriminating by giving them one less fighter. There really should be a monkey faction. Armoured monkeys would be sweet.

The catalogue pictures are early development stage, Really the only new thing they show is The Kraang out of the humanoid robot and in some sort of multi-legged domed robot. The picture of shredders bike is too dark to show any details other than it has flick fire missiles and has spikes sticking out as well as some sort of flame thrower by the look of it. But it's all very rough looking and nowhere near finished set stage. The Kraang minifig (can it be called that? It's not a minifig, it's a brain with tentacles) anyway it looks almost exactly like this. Just in Lego form.
-
I'm quite surprised there's no black suited Kraang robot. I suppose There's plenty of time for that if there's a second wave of sets. Also there's no Xever. Easy enough to make my own I suppose but would have been nice to get an official one.

Wikipedia. At the bottom of the episode list. :) 26 episodes this season and 26 next season.

No they're not power crystals or power miners crystals. They look most like rocket fins from classic space turned upside down. Or perhaps the stud and socket have been switched round. Or they're new four pronged 1x1 round bricks. What they aren't though is three pronged crystals.

Casey Jones will 'debut' in season two of the show. Technically 'Rise of the turtles' (The Kraang and Snakeweed) was episodes one and two back to back. 'Turtle temper' (Spider Bytez) was episode three, 'New friend, old enemy' (Shredder,Chris Bradford and Xever) was episode four. Which makes 'I think his name is Baxter Stockman' episode five. I don't know anywhere that has the episodes though

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 9 Rumours & Discussion

I think the packets are made of Unobtanium. -
Yeah, that's the thing. Anything Mattell or Hasbro will never be seen in Lego form. As we've seen with Hasbro, who've 'created' the Kre-O brick system to cover their own properties like G.I. Joe.
-
Gerry Anderson's stuff is ripe for it. Fireball XL-5, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, Terrahawks, Space 1999, UFO, Space precinct. The array of parts we have now Lego could easily pull off the vehicles.

The little red house is another country cabin judging by the background art on the box. There can't be enough room in the roof for a second floor. So in essence it's more like a summer house in the garden. Lord knows why such a tiny place would need two entrances. It's not much of a step up from the bricks and more range.

No, it's most likely a paint test sample or misprint from the factory. These will be in production but not out until next year.
-
oh that was my intention :)
-
Oh I meant in terms of playability. It looks like the wings will just pop off and become irritatingly loose. I also like the dual expression head under the mask. Although this sample seems to be a factory reject due to misalignment of printing it looks like there's going to be some excellent print work on the minifigs.
