  1. Cheeky. You know what I mean.
  2. Stickers are a pain. On the one hand I appreciate that Lego have made them re-peel-able, but on the other because we're dealing with plastic there's static electricity to contend with and getting the sticker lined up right before it magnetically attaches itself is so frustratingly difficult. It's become something of an obsession to get them all on just right. Lining brick stud logos up isn't something I do consciously. For me it's more about making sure all the sprue marks face the same way or are hidden.
  3. Hmph! Billy sold short again. I shall write a letter to Lego giving them a piece of my mind. I urge everyone to take up my Billy no mates avatar in protest
  4. Something I've wondered about for a while is the reason the police helicopter pilot has a different badge to all the other minifigs. His badge has an extra bar around the bottom edge making it fatter than everyone elses. I did consider that it might be supposed to represent wings but I don't reckon it's that. Do Police pilots normally have different badges? The pilot is also the only one to have what looks like an ID badge on the other side. And his badge is on the opposite side to everyone elses. Odd.
  5. Solomon Blaze is a jerk. Just because his dad is chief of staff at GSHQ** he gets preferential treatment and gets to have TWO vehicles! Billy might only be a rookie but he's got mad skillz as a pilot and mech mechanic**. It's just not fair. **Totally made up facts The names were revealed on a German website a while back. Blue: Solomon Blaze Red: Billy Starbeam Green: Chuck Stonebreaker Orange: Jack Fireblade & Ashlee Starstrider
  6. That's so sad. Poor Billy Starbeam..... There'd better be big things for him in wave 2 or I'm gonna be mad.
  7. I feel sad for Billy Starbeam. He doesn't have a vehicle. His fish eyed robot chum has that little scooter but Billy has to walk while everyone else gets cool rides. I wonder if there's going to be an exclusive set sometime that will be Billy's vehicle? Or will he be the one with the walker in the polybag? If he only gets the polybag walker that's pretty lame. Why does Billy get no love, Lego? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?
  8. I've still not been to the Liverpool one and it's pretty much on my doorstep.
  9. Yeah rad facial piercing. He's bad to the bone. I shall be army building Razar. Get some purple hands and switch out the hook for those on all but one. Leaving Rawzom as commander with Rizzo and Razcal as lieutenants. Build them an airborne aircraft carrier.
  10. Is it bright green on the Vermin Vaporizor? It looks different in various pics so i'm not getting a handle on which green it actually is. I hope it isn't bright green as that's just so garish. Regular green is much better but I suppose Lego will probably replace regular green with bright green eventually.
  11. Now that I've seen higher res pictures I don't think much of the wolf or lion vehicles but the crocs, ravens and eagles have some sweet ones. And the minifigures are excellent. I don't like the game element but I do like the parts in new colours. I think kids will love this theme. Once the tv show starts and they see how it all works and start to identify with different characters they'll snap this stuff up. The good guys and bad guys do need castles or fortresses but there's time enough for those later. I'm totally not interested in any 'constraction' figures. just not my thing. For me this is all about the croc and raven minifigures and parts. Also the 'queen' in the Eagle's castle set could be a king. Royal dudes wear robes too. Just sayin'.
  12. Rawsome? Rawzom is what it says on amazon set images.
  13. To fight the bug, we must understand the bug. We can ill afford another Klendathu.
  14. [humour]Lego is like a drug. Teasing releases is like holding out on the supply of the drug in a sadistic way.Hahaha! Lol! Roflmao![/humour] To be honest I'm not bothered one way or another. Pictures arrive when pictures arrive and if that's months before the product is on sale or five minutes before the release it's all the same to me.
  15. Judges have worn robes for centuries. Keeps them warm in draughty courtrooms. I see where you're coming from but if you mean the Cromwellian civil war the wig would be darker. Probably grey or brown.
  16. 'The Johnny Thunder sports bar & grill'.
  17. Supreme court judges still wear robes. Which is what I based my design on. even though I called it a Victorian judge. It was just the most iconic outfit for a judge.
  18. My painter and decorator design isn't too far off the mark. Though it's worth pointing out that you can't use a paint roller without a paint tray. dipping it in a paint kettle (that's the correct terminology) just won't work. My Sky diver isn't too far off either. And although the Medusa is undoubtedly based on Toth's design I gave it go. This is one of two designs where I used a bald pate piece. Which finally shows up on the Grandpa figure. I wish I'd kept up with finishing these designs off. I just haven't had time.
  19. Ok, I was wrong. I'll be man enough and admit it. I blame lack of sleep. I still think the alien trooper is a horrible figure though. One of, if not the worst CMF yet. I also don't like Dr. Splitz. Out of this series I'm only interested in eight. And totally uninterested in Caesar, Knight, Mech, Mermaid, Maid Marion and Cyclops. Of the others I have these thoughts: The cyclops I think is more of a Ray Harryhausen troglodyte He seems to have a horn on the front of his head like my doodle design. Which was based on Harryhausen's cyclops troglodyte in one of the sinbad movies. You'll notice that the cyclops minifigure head has what looks like sticking out ears. I could be wrong but that's what I see. The judge I think is missing a red cape. Kinda like this. If he doesn't come with a cape I think he looks pretty bare and top heavy. The plumber seems to have a plunger. I did this design. It interests me that several of my designs bear resemblance to produced minifigures. The movie star. I also did a design for one in a long dress. Not Marilyn like Toth's design, mine is more Veronica Lake like. The Rollerskater. I did a design for an inline skater and it's one of the most viewed designs in my collection despite the roughness of it. Obviously someone was quite taken with it. I don't think i like the rollerskates Lego made. It kinda looks like the minifig is standing on tortoises in that picture we've seen. I think inline skates would have been better. Chicken suit guy. Well, it's a guy in a chicken suit. Shame there's no fat belly torso piece. A fat chicken suit would have been awesome. Worth getting this figure though. Whatever your theme interests are a set up can only be improved by the inclusion of a guy in a chicken suit. Waiter. My city is crying out for this guy. The town waiter torso is seriously lacking by today's standards so I plan on getting a bunch if his torso print is good. Also, green bottle and tray are excellent accessories. Fortune teller. I had an idea lying in bed the other night to build a classic funfair. I listed a fortune teller in my wants. This one looks alright and I love the head scarf. I suppose also this gal could perform a seance and bring forth the ghostly spirits. Cop. I love his cap. I'm not sure what I'd use him for. Maybe a vignette of a George Michael video? "Let's go outside..."
  20. Crossbeam panel in brown, That's cool. Pity they used the aviator cap on the helicopter pilot. The CMF hockey player's smooth helmet would have looked better but I'm not sure if a trans visor would fit it. The aviator cap looks a little old fashioned. The helicopter arrest set is mighty fine though. Orange pick up truck, nice. I'm going to have to fill in the side of the pick up garage though. The open side next to the stairs makes the roller door pretty redundant. Love the helicopter. The landing struts are nice but I'll change the doorway and give it nicer rotor blades. I'm smitten with next years police sets. Still not liking the fire sets. Though the fire minifigs are cool and so is the new ladder side rail piece. I'll Bricklink those but I have to have the police sets and retire my old police collection. I hope Lego stick with the dark blue for police. Much nicer than regular blue.
  21. Are there any hi-res images of the museum heist set anywhere? Or the Fire station?
  22. The purple tint on the Splitz image is more likely a printing over saturation. That one looks more like it's supposed to be trans clear with some shading to give it shape and depth. There again we don't know how many flasks he'll have. one, two, three........ It's all moot.
  23. One or both flask/s go with Dr. Splitz in series 9.
  24. IF this is an accurate list then I think the Yeti is this series' fancy dress costumed character. Though it could also be the Gingerbread man or the female robot. Yeti seems more likely as all the costume characters so far have had an animal theme. Gorilla, Lizard, Bunny, Chicken, Bee. It follows that the next one would also be animal based. I doubt it'll be the Tiki warrior as that seems like it's a companion to the Hula girl with maracas from series 3. A Hawaiian warrior in a grass skirt wearing a mask
  25. What everyone is calling the motorbike mechanic, or his legs and torso, are Rex Fury's from the Lego City Undercover game. The belt should be red dots and white skull buckle and the database image of the legs just has a white outline and no colour but those are definitely Rex's legs and the tattoo on the arm is identical to Rex's. Therefore we can deduce that this is a City police subtheme minifigure or an exclusive to a book. It won't be a CMF. And it won't have that head and definitely not that mohawk hair. The hair that goes with Rex is the mechanic's quiff from series 7.
