Now that scenario seems awfully familiar......... I like the idea of a medical ship but Lego wouldn't put a handless minifigure into a set unless it was a character in a licensed theme. cuts and bruises seem ok but nothing more major.

That's Red Harrington (Farrington?) in the stagecoach.

Could somebody have a go at doing a clear decal of the Galaxy Squad legs please? I'll have a go myself but there are guys doing decals here who are much better at vector graphics than me.

The minifigures in this theme are lovely. Looking at the FBTB pics I gleaned this list of characters from the boxes: 79106 Cavalry Builder Set: **Navarro Rifleman #1 (grim face with stubble) **Navarro Rifleman #2 (ginger beard and smile) **Navarro Rifleman #3 (Smirking mouth and frown) Lone Ranger (clean outfit, smirk face) Silver 79107 Comanche Camp: Red Knee (buffalo headdress) Lone Ranger (clean outfit, smirk face) Tonto (clean outfit, panicked face) 79108 Stagecoach Escape: Red Harrington (big hair, little hat) Jesus (red bandana) Barret (black Stetson) Lone Ranger (clean outfit, smirk face) Tonto (clean outfit, panicked face) Silver 79109 Colby City Showdown: Frank (brown torso and black Stetson) Ray (grey Derby hat) Dan Reid (grey torso with marshall’s star) Lone Ranger (clean outfit, smirk face) Tonto (clean outfit, amused face) 79110 Silver mine shootout: Butch Cavendish (black torso and hat with hair attached) Kyle (grey torso red bandana) Chief Big Bear (grey hair) Lone Ranger (dusty outfit, grimace face) Tonto (dusty outfit, annoyed face) 79111 Constitution train chase: Butch Cavendish (black torso and hat with hair attached) Latham Cole (black derby hat) Rebecca Reid Danny Reid (surfer hair and short legs) Lone Ranger (clean outfit, smirk face) Tonto (clean outfit, amused face) Silver Tonto has three faces. Probably a dual faced head and a single faced one. Lone Ranger has two faces both single faced. (naturally, as he's wearing a hat with no hair attached) **The Navarro Rifleman were a unit of cavalry in Texas during the American civil war. One of the actors in the movie has been reported as playing a character referred to as 'Navarro'. Therefore I'm assuming the cavalry we see are a representation of the Navarro Riflemen. Thus I've named the minifigures so in order to give them an identifier.

According to the back of the Galactic Titan box the flying vehicle is called a 'Deep Space Destroyer' and the ground vehicle is called a 'Planetary Defender'. Do the Bug Obliterator or Vermin Vaporizer have names for both vehicles? I haven't seen the back of those boxes.

It's impressive, but waaaaay too big to become a Cuusoo success.

The grey Gorilla is called Grumlo.

Hey, no problem. We all think we see new parts now and then. Sometimes we do sometimes we don't. -

It's the classic castle wizard beard not the LOTR Gandalf beard. In black. As used for the Kingdoms dark green wizard. -
That was my original estimate but then I figured that it's a Lego set and they don't do really solid structures unless it's a creator or modular set. I was sort of imagining a facade that looked solid but actually wasn't with the set being mostly a dressed up framework. Imagine volcano base and the base from aerial defence unit on top with a vehicle perched on top instead of a dish. and the whole thing juuuuust a bit bigger. And obviously not brown or with a lava flow or doors or a big helicopter. See what i was thinking?

Very high. Erm, I don't know. Somewhere in the 60-70 dollars range? I'm hopeless at pricing things. I suppose cost could be cut by using BURPs to construct the mound facade.

Buggoid Hive Buggoid Queen maxifig, two Elite Buggoids, four larva, GS team member. The hive could be a fortress mound. Three levels with open backs but a fairly solid looking facade front that steps back at each level. Each level has a 'balcony' platform at the front with some sort of weapon on the 'battlements'. zamor sphere launcher, larva pod launcher and the like. The top level is a disguised vehicle that folds up and sits in a sort of crater and looks like the mound top but is ready to unfold and strike at the Squaddies. The middle section would be a hangar for a few small flyers and crawlers that are pretty much brick built bugs. The bottom level would be where the Hive queen is and a bunch of larva pods and coccoon pods. The queen would be a maxifig and have a couple of elite Buggoids as guards. Possibly dark red or maybe another colour. There'd be one squaddie in the set in a coccoon to give the rest of the squaddies someone to rescue. As a big set it wouldn't have a GS vehicle so that the budget could be spent on the hive itself.

12 - Warpig Mech - genecyst - 1 point 18.Space War Horse - sparkart - 1 point 22. Pigs VS Cows - Ninja Nin - 1 point 35. FishB.O.W.L.- Squareical Notionalist - 1 point 42. Dogs of war - Darkblane - 1 point The Warpig mech I love for shape and colour and total impracticality. It's bonkers but brilliant. The Space War Horse armour has a pleasing shape and the cockpit bubble seems made for fitting round a horse. perfect pairing. Pigs VS Cows I just love the idea of. Rampaging mad cows and pigs as grunts. Cool beans. FishB.O.W.L looks exactly how a fish controlled mech should look. right down to the retro Jaques Cousteau wetsuit look. Dogs of war has an awesome vehicle and a nice clean, concise and tight build. Plus it's dogs and dogs are cool.

Nest Burster ?? parts $30-40 Orange team Jack Fireblade, new orange squad grunt, Buggoid and four Buggoid eggs. A mole like vehicle with that large drill bit piece on the nose. Designed to separate from its caterpillar tracked carrier and burrow down into the ground to deliver GS squaddies into the heart of the nest/hive. In essence just a long tube with a drill head but it would have deployable nest bursting bombs, house a troop carrier module and have a weapons storage compartment. The carrier would have a control station so the mole could be operated remotely. Also included would be a small section of nest/hive wall with a launching feature to send the Buggoid eggs flying at the GS squaddies. Insectoid Repellent ?? parts $?? Red team Billy Starbeam or some other team member, two robots. Long sleek flying vehicle with three cockpits. The robots pilot two small split off strike craft while the squaddie pilots the main vehicle. Armed to the teeth. Obligatory flick-fire missiles. The main cockpit would have two positions; lowered when the strike craft are attached and raised when they aren't. There should probably be some huge bomb on the belly of the ship. Some clever release mechanism where pushing down on something makes fingers release the bomb. Mobile Ballistic platform in need of a better name ?? parts $?? Green team Chuck Stonebreaker, two green team grunts and a robot. Mobile platform that serves as both a massive cannon and also as a forward bunker. Sides fold out to create a 'firewall' behind which the GS squaddies can find protection from heavy fire. Manned cannon positions on top of the wall. gun slits in the wall. The main cannon on top of the vehicle can be deployed as a stationary emplacement while the squaddies use the vehicle and extended 'firewall' as a shield and advance towards the enemy while the cannon provides covering fire. Recon platform ?? parts $?? Olive team Female squaddie, robot Small olive coloured floating reconnaissance platform/craft. Transparent computer display of terrain with squad positions and insectoid positions. Tiles printed with terrain maps of Buggoid nest. Control station and seat. Side mounted cannons. Protective canopy. Space binoculars.

I think if there was going to be a huge ship it would have to composed of different vehicles that make up the wave it's in. The primary feature of GS is the split apart vehicles. So vehicles that work as standalone craft that can combine to form a big ship would seem logical. I can't see a massive vehicle being done any other way.

Well we know blue team gets a new member by the box art of the titan. Given that Lego gave all the teams identical torso prints they made it easier to add new members. I would think though that if this second wave is the last of GS then no other new heads. The smaller sets will likely just re-use existing team members and just the Titan gets a new one. It would have been cool if all the new sets had new team members. It must be a lot cheaper to create a new paint tampo than to create a new mould.

At the German Toyfair Jack Fireblade is sporting a space monocle in the CLS-89 mech cockpit. It's the same head as Solomon Blaze as it lacks the cheekbones of the other Jack Fireblade head. Perhaps a mistake or perhaps just a cheap way for Lego to give him a space monocle.

Best I could do from a fleeting glimpse: It's not a brilliant vehicle but it's a step up at least. It's got a proper windscreen and everything...... Thanks to Durins Bane for posting the video.

Perhaps it's an American exclusive? It wasn't at the London or German shows because it won't be sold there? I don't know, just a guess. And just five days until NY Toyfair. Sunday 10th - Wednesday 13th. Oooh you! *mumblemuttermumble*

In that second pic of the larva I think he's done toilet on the table...

My brother's partner's kids are into Lego. Isobel doesn't like girly stuff like Friends, She likes vehicles and machines so I'm getting her interested in GS before the August release here. Michael is into Star Wars but I think GS could appeal to him. At least the Titan will strike a chord with him. Isobel will probably also go for the aliens because of the colour scheme of their vehicles. Plus, I suspect she has the makings of an evil despot so yeah, the evil aliens will definitely suit her.

My enthusiasm for other themes has waned. Besides City and CMF's, GS is what's tickling my pickle.

The GS Wiki has a pic of the new blue team guy. Unnamed So assuming you bought every GS set including the two polybags you would have: Solomon Blaze x3 Blue #two x1 Blue robot x3 Jack Fireblade x3 Ashlee Starstrider x1 Orange robot x2 Chuck Stonebreaker x3 Green robot x1 Billy Starbeam x2 Red robot x2 Mosquitoid elite x1 Mosquitoid x4 Mosquitoid larva x4 Buggoid elite x1 Buggoid x3 *This information is brought to you by the Utterly useless information bureau.

I'm surprised no picture of the new blue team member has shown up. Aside from a glimpse in the back of Titan pictures on the minifigure display carousel or inside a purple pod. Hopefully more shots will come from NY Toyfair.
