  1. Love your Black Falcon army! Love the set up as well. Looks like a menacing, determined army. So which army is the victor? BF or crusaders?
  2. Great idea, can't wait to see it. However, Greek Fire is a real thing. It was invented by the Roman Empire (incorrectly referred to as the Byzantine Empire). The fire would be used in naval battles. The thing that made Greek Fire so unique, is that it would continue to burn even on the surface of water. Greek Fire is one of the primary reasons the Roman Empire (Constantinople) was able to sustain itself for so long - particularly with the many invasions by the Arabs, Turks, Mongols, Crusaders, etc. The method for creating Greek Fire has been lost to history. Nonetheless, I digress. I've attached a link with a picture of Greek Fire. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Greekfire-madridskylitzes1.jpg
  3. Thank you all. I'm glad you enjoyed them!
  4. I regret not joining in the Guild of Historica. Nonetheless, Nocturnus Guild is by far the best. All of you have made amazing MOCs, and created some of the most unique mini-figs. Keep up the good work!
  5. Sorry its taking so long for the pictures to become public. How do I got about deeplinking the pictures? I am sorry, I've finally started posted pictures. All very new to me. Attached it to the forum. Hope you like. Enjoy.
  6. A couple of mini-figs I made that I wanted to show. From left to right - 1) the drunken Corsair, 2) the Brave Warrior, 3) The Arab Scout, 4) the Charming Bard, 5) the Rouge, 6) the Berserker Viking, 7) the Humble Hobbit, 8) the Crownie Ranger, 9) the Mighty Dwarf, 10) the Lion Scout, 11) the Sneaky Thief, 12) the Elegant Elf, and finally in the back, 13) the Noble Knight. As a dark threat rises in the East, this group of uncommon adventures has been convened to stop the threat before it becomes too great. Will they succeed, or will their differences overcome them?
  7. Looking forward to LoTR

  8. Figured it out! Steps using iPhoto 1) Select the photo you wish to upload. 2) Go to File 3) Click on Export 4) Resize the photo 5) Upload.
  9. Is it possible for someone who knows iPhoto to write a tutorial? I apology for my un-savvy tech skills. I've been playing around with it for awhile. I re-size the pic to 150 x 150, but it doesn't save. Thanks again for whoever can help.
  10. My apologies, I accidently started that discussion that it was single piece. I saw a picture of Legolas's head/hair piece off and quickly jumped to a conclusion. I tried to edit my post with "nevermind" when I saw the Hadir picture with the pieces separated.
  11. Looks like Legolas's head and hair are one piece? nevermind
  12. Lets see here . . . Winter Village Toy Shop, Bakery, Post Office; All POTC; Hogwart's castle, Hagrid's hut, Barrow's Inn, Diagon Ally; All of the pirate sets work; POP - all of the sets work; and The new Pyramid sets; I use a MOD'ed Hogwart's as my elven castle.
  13. Almost completed but not quite. If you look at the orc minifigs, e.g., you'll notice that their faces are stickers.
  14. Great review. I remember as a kid I wanted this castle so bad. My friend owned it, and I'd always be over playing with it. Thank goodness for ebay, as I am now a proud owner of the set. I didn't, no! I never even thought about it. I just thought it was an extra play feature for the set.
  15. Wow, where to begin? My hesitation about the horse mold . . . GONE! They look absolutely stunning. Very detailed. Most important, they aren't molded in that one position! I'm excited about the orc armies I'll get too build. This sets allow for a lot of orc minifigs. Hopefully down the line, they'll release elven, dwarf, Rohan, Gondor, Easterlings, etc. I'm in loving with the Rohirrim minifigs. Wow, LEGO nailed it perfectly. Have you seen Theodon's armor and helmet? Beautiful. I take back all caution I had about this theme (well, still hate the fleshies), the sets and figs look so good. Can't wait until they are released!
  16. Any chance we will be seeing new pictures today or possibly tomorrow?
  17. If you focus on a particular theme, and have recently (3 years) come out of your dark age. Yes. I only collect castle sets, with the occasional pirate or licensed theme that fits the over all motif.
  18. I just don't like the inconsistency. If the lotr horse molds come just in the that position, it makes the old molds irrelevant. Eventually the old molds will be out numbered, and so on and so. E.g., with the "fleshies," wow do I dislike them, with HP, POTC and now LOTR, the fleshies will outnumber classic LEGO skins. That inconsistency just bothers me; I know I'm weird. But nonetheless. To be succinct - just doesn't feel like LEGO. Anyways, I'll buy these sets and love 'em, I'm sure of it. Just being grumpy
  19. I'm not too keen on the new horse mold yet. I guess I'm just a creature of habit.
  20. Try substituting the Nazgul legs with a black slope piece (legging used for female figs). I've done that with my Nazgul mocs - personally I think it looks great.
  21. I really like it. Nice job! Have a fishy stick, err ... sweet roll.
  22. Thank you. I'm going to try again tomorrow. I hope I can snag at least one of 'em
  23. The boxes I went through were hidden behind other packs - they looked untouched. Nevertheless, feeling for the spear, not an effective way to find that fig?
  24. Hey all, any one having difficulty finding the Roman soldier? I've been feeling for the spear, without success. I went through 3 boxes today, didn't feel a single one. Any suggestions? Maybe I should feel for the shield? I've found the minotaur (very easy) and the William Wallace minifig very easy. Maybe the Roman is the least among the set?
  25. I'm somewhat disappointed with the poster picture of the fellowship. Particularly Boromir. His hair is red/orange? In the book it was black, in the movies blonde. Why'd they choose red?
