Is it just rumor there is a bag end set, or has something been stated?
-
Wow these look great. I'm happy that LEGO is making them each unique (as they should be). Seeing this, it makes me more confident that LOTR will be taking on the role of SW for us castle/fantasy fans!
-
That would bring me joy :)
-
That works well, except for Aragon's torso...show too much flesh
-
I am in 100% with you. I'm not a big fan of the fleshie color. Its nice thaat a lot of the LOTR fig torsos don't show the fleshie color. With that said, an easy fix for me is to color the heads with a yellow highlighter. I've found it to work really well.

I thought it was only exclusive to Target stores - but that does make sense that it'd be at Lego stores. Yes, Oregon does have a Lego store, I'll have to stop by.

Thanks for the info prozac, I'll keep my fingers crossed for this weekend.

Hey all, I was wondering if any of you who live in the Pacific Northwest have seen any of the Orc Forge sets at their local Target stores. I've been going to my local Target stores for the past few weeks and still haven't seen them

Well I now know why I can never find that set at my local stores - you are buying 'em all! Joking :) Impressive army

Nocturnus Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Shroffy123 replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
This pending war is very interestin. Oh how I wish I had time to particpate in the amazing builds and Mocs each guild has created. I look forward to watching this unfold, and the Drow crushing all those beneath them! Although sadly I'm not participating, my armies would be on the right side of the Drow - ready to march on all of its enemies. -
Well its not so much have not having enough LEGO. I plan to incorporate LOTR with Castle, Kingdom, Black Knights, etc. Fleshie and Yellow clash. If LOTR was going to be a single wave (like POTC, e.g.,) I'd change all the figs. However, I'm sure that wont be the case. So i'm still trying to figure out which LOTR figs to alter, and which to leave alone. I'm leaning towards altering the race of men mini-figs, and leave the dwarves, hobbits, and elves as they are. But then again, I have all those elf mini-figs from series 3. Such a dilemma

His helmet works great with the regular rohirrim soldier (along with the cape) to make Theodan's royal guard :) As for altering LEGO pieces - I find it difficult too. But, I always succomb and highlight the fleshies faces' yellow. I know, its bad. But its hard to mix the two colors :( Knowing that ill be buying a lot of LOTR (and hoping this theme lasts like SW) I'm not sure if ill do the same for LOTR fleshies. Maybe, ill keep the dwarves and hobbits fleshie, but highlight gondor and rohan faces... Maybe I can get some posters thoughts?

They are! I've given all of my rohirrim the gladius sword. As for the hobbits - I let 'em use the knife/dagger

Thank you

Sorry, I think this has been asked and answered already, but my mind is blank. I've gotten all of the sets thus far, except for the Orc Forge. The Orc Forge set is a Target exclusive? Am I remembering correctly?
-
I got lucky, the store where I bought the sets had huge sales for mother's day. Yes, the orc head piece in mines of moria. I'll post pictures later tonight when I have more time.

Picked up these sets today - even got a 40% discount :) . . . Anyways, they are all amazing. The detail on the mini-figs is great. I have to say, the orcs are well-done. I am absolutely in love with them. They look 100 times better than the orcs in CASTLE. With all that said, I found the Legolas, and Aragon figs to be lacking. They should've added a cloak to the figs. Also, I wish Legolas' head piece allowed room for a quiver (much like the orcs' head piece does). Oh well. These sets truly are a must buy.

The Lego Black Knights Sets 1988-1993
Shroffy123 replied to SirSven7's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great review! I'm loving all of them thus far. Black Knights were my favorite faction when I was young. I use to drool over the Black Knight castle as a kid. As a kid, I remember LEGO being hard to find . . . especially at my local store. Could only find the bigger sets at TRU are KBToys. And trips there were far from few. Luckily, I was able to get it on ebay :) -
One more month. Can't wait to get my hands on this sets!
-
Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I think using the dragon knight armor suits them better. It fits the motif of eastern (arabish/persianish) army. The gold on the dragon knights armor matches the color of the helmet.

I was playing around making some mini-figs. These figs take inspiration from AC: Brotherhood and Revelations. Specifically, the Papal Guards and Elites - respectively. The Malik's elite guard, there purpose is to protect the Malik (King) until death. Enjoy

Original Castle, by far, is the best. But, I am looking forward to LOTR. If LOTR sells good, I just hope that LEGO doesn't complete forget about Original Castle.
-
Amazing MOC, great job! Its one of those MOCs were you just like to look at - if that makes any sense. Is there an inside? If so, could you show it?
-
Here is my Black Falcon army - definitely a lot smaller than yours. However, my BF army is part of the larger Crusader/Lion Kingdom Army. Although my BF are small, they are one of the most fiercest soldiers loyal to the Lion King.
