It looks amazing. Good job. The bazaar looks lively :)

I apologize if this has already been mentioned before, but so many posts its hard to keep up. First when I saw these sets (regardless that I knew they were prelims and likely to change) I was a bit disappointed. After looking at them again I was excited. Then disappointed. Its been somewhat of I roller-coaster. Maybe I'm just anxious to get my hands on them, and thus being a baby. Anyways . . . I think it'd be nice if LEGO, instead of re-creating scenes, simply created structures. E.g., the Prancing Pony, or Bag End. Something that really drew me to HP, is that a lot of the sets where structures, even POTC did so to an extent. Also, the sets do not look that detailed (compared HP e.g.) I really hope LEGO puts in extra effort for these sets. You know, as a castle fan, I'd always felt a bit disappointed, after building the set having it be so empty inside. I'm sure once the official pictures come, these sets will look amazing. But so far, all of them are battle scenes. I'd rather have a Prancing Pony with the Hobbits, Strider, and a few civilians, than half of a helms deep :( Just my thoughts. Also, I truly believe that this theme will do well. I know for a fact all of us Castle fanatics having been asking for this for awhile, and will buy sets in the multiples. A lot of my friends, who aren't into LEGO are really considering buying up some of these sets. If LOTR becomes our SW, fingers crossed, can you just imagine all of the amazingly detailed exclusive sets that would come out? Hands down, I'd be willing to spend $300.00 on a Rivendell or Minas Tirith.

God I hope those aren't new horse molds . . . talk about a waste. I hope LEGO takes the time to create new molds for Gondorian and Rohirrim armor. From the look of the Rohirrim, it seems like they are reusing old helmets (except for the one fig). Nonetheless, I can't wait to see the finished sets.

400? There are only 9! Just imagine how good the Haradrim and Easterlings will look. I'll definitely get 400 of them, well almost 400

I'm cautiously happy about this While licensed themes bring amazingly detailed sets and figs, the fact that they'll be "fleshie" colored upsets me. Anyone else an avid hater of fleshie figs???? Oh well, I think once I see the pictures of the sets, all of that will go away. . . . Come to think of it, LOTR LEGO!!! Wow!
-
As big a fan of Tolkien as I am, I would rather not have a LOTR wave. The thought of fleshie figs terrifies me, jk. No really, there is still so much potential with the Kingdom line, and I would really hope that LEGO did not prematurely end it. In the the new Joust set, there is a Black Falcon Knight. For me, this is much more substantial evidence (as opposed to a rumor of LOTR) that Kingdoms is continuing with a new faction(s).
-
While I am excited for a possible LOTR or HOBBIT wave, I am cautions as well. The licensed set will no doubt be fleshy (which I don't really like). I've spent the last two years creating my own elves and dwarves in the classic LEGO yellow. (sign) I guess they'll be a different faction of the races

New Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive
Shroffy123 replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow this set looks amazing. I can't wait to get a couple of 'em. I'm actually happy they included a Black Falcon. It will be nice to incorp him into my Black Falcon faction. Wow, Lego just continues to impress. I hope Kingdoms continues on for at least a couple more waves. -
I agree, OP did nothing wrong. He didn't post the pictures maliciously. I don't understand why Nabil had make his grievance public; wouldn't a simple private message to the OP suffice?

IN the Spring 2011 Lego Catalog, on page 3, it shows the Red Ninja with a dragon sword. Does this really exist? Or is it just for show in the catalog. I've scanned on the sets listed, and don't see anything resembling it. Thanks Nevermind, just saw it in the "Fire Temple" set. Can't wait for it to come out. That sword looks amazing.

Xbox 360 Kinect and Lego - the Possibilities
Shroffy123 replied to Shroffy123's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Microsoft announced it today at E3'11. The example shown at the event - developers scanned a stuffed toy and where able to mimic movements within a virtual environment. I'm not sure how good the technology is, or well be in the near future. But, exactly, think of the possibilities. An AFOL being able to scan their entire Lego City or Kingdom, thus creating a virtual environment which they can mimic and control their creation. A huge step from stop-motion. You need a Kinect and Xbox. It is available on Xbox Live. -
Hello all, Have you seen the new Xbox360 Kinect "Object Scan" feature? Object Scan allows players to scan ANY object into the Xbox making it fully playable. Essentially, those with Kinect can now scan their Lego Sets, Minifigs, etc and create there own lego world, allowing them to play and live out their lego world in a virtual setting. Amazing!

My set came with the 2 extra piece as well. Unless you and I both missed the instruction step. Nonetheless, this set is fantastic. I hope to pick up another one later down the road. Also, a side note. Some TRU in the states do not care this set. The TRU closest to me told me that they will only be carrying the Carriage and black smith set. I had to drive to a TRU 30 miles away to pick up this, as well as the other sets.

I agree with you. Before I got this set I was excited about the new weapons. However, they aren't that great - except for the two daggers.

Thanks for the review. I want this set even more. I'm really getting jealous that the kingdom sets are popping up everywhere - except where I am

Thank you for the review. I am jealous. I'm tempted to order online; but, I think I'll wait a couple more weeks. -
Wow, very lucky to get your hands on those amazing sets. They are available again online. Can't wait to get them.

Nice to know, I'm in Michigan too, after law finals I hope to pick'em up. Hopefully they don't go out of stock before then. -
No kids in my kingdom world - just hobbits :) Can't wait to get my hands on these sets.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
Shroffy123 replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I am not getting lucky with series four. All I want are the Viking and Gnome. Sadly, I've only gotten one viking. The dots are harder to see in this series. On another note, ToysRus (MI) is now selling Series 3 for half off. -
Thank you so much for the review. I want this set even more, including all the others. After I'm done with my law school finals, I'll be rewarding myself by picking POTC sets up! I have a question, hopefully you can answer, do the new sword sheathes work with the Castle swords? i.e., do they fit?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
Shroffy123 replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hi everyone, just a note. Michigan TRU now have series 4 for 2.99$; however, they are selling fast. Yesterday I went into my local TRU, and was told they'd get another shipment today (Friday 3/25/11). So I went in today in the afternoon and they had already sold all but 5 of them. I picked up the five, and got 2 sailors :( 1 frankenstein :( and two wolfmen :( I'm really wanting the Viking and Gnome ... Hopefully when they restock they wont sell out so fast. -
This MOC looks amazing. Great job!
