Wow your Oriental Troops look amazing. I wish I had these minifigs and elephants, it'd be a great faction for my castle world.

I do not own Citadel of Orlan, but I own, and just recently built Vladerk's Dark Fortress, and if that is any inclination of the rest of KKII, Kingdom's Castle is a complete 180 in regards to challenge, style and overall greatness. As stated above, I too have never found any of the actual castles to be a challenge (the only castle themed set that was a challenge was the MMV). With that said, the Kingdom's castle took some time to build; having had many small detailed pieces. Try not to compare your castle experience of KKII with the new line (or even fantasy line IMO). If you purchase the new castle, I'm quite sure you'll not only enjoy the build, but the model itself. It may even perk your interest into tracking down all of the older castle models ... Much like the fantasy line brought me out of my dark age, and I found myself collect all the older castle themes I once had, which I sold prior to leave for college so many years ago.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you. This is one of my favorite class. And it didn't feel "junorized" at all when I was building it. I think it actually took me two (2) hours to complete it.

Any suggestions for how to use KK2 colored knights?
Shroffy123 replied to Shroffy123's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I've built a manor for the knights, and filled it with many kegs of beer and food. I've decided to base them off of the Knights of Thorn (Elder Scrolls IV). "Fancy" knights that don't do much, except talk a big game, and get in the way :) -
Any suggestions for how to use KK2 colored knights?
Shroffy123 replied to Shroffy123's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thank you for the suggestions everyone. I am really like the idea of having them as statues in a town square. Thanks! -
Hey all, I've recently picked up 8877 and 8777 of the KK2 line. I just wanted to get Lord Vladek's castle and the horse barding. But now I find myself with 5 colored knights, and I am not sure how to incorporate them into my lego castle world. They seem so out of place, with their bright colors. I was thinking of building a manor type of structure for them, and have them be a band of "knights" who drink and sing, and speak of heroic tales that they may or may not have done. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

Does TRU usually place the impulse sets a part from the other lego sets? I've been in my local TRU a few times now (to pick up kingdom sets) and I have yet to see any impulse ... maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

By far my favorite of all time is 6086 Black Knight’s Castle. I wanted this set so bad when I was a kid, but never got a chance to get it. I was lucky to get a complete set on ebay for less than $100.00

Wow, this looks really great! The knight is amazing, and the treasure ... WOW! Beautifully done!

Kingdoms Battle Packs Discussion
Shroffy123 replied to Sirens-of-Titan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don't like that the weapons are silver either. But what I most dislike is the dreaded return of the old-school grill helmets!!! I have so many of these and I don't know what to do with them. I never equip them on my figs; they simply look ugly :/ -
I bought two of these sets. They look great. I ended up connecting them to the castle. It looks nice :)

I like it. Its creative. Maybe try building up instead of out with sets. I use to have this problem as well, where I'd extend horizontal. But now I have a decent base and build upwards ... I need to get a camera so I can post some of my creation MOC. Keep up the great work!

I had to go with the Blacksmith shop because thats the only set I have of the ones listed. I really would like to get the guarded inn.

I don't know if this has been noted yet. But the torso colors on my lion knights in the outpost set, the white is perfect, it isn't pinkish like in the castle set.

What happened to the Bow (weapon)?
Shroffy123 replied to Admiral Ron's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don't dislike the crossbow, I just prefer the bow. For example, my crownies have crossbow troops, but I don't equip the bundle of arrows with them. Those two just don't go together in my opinion. If the Kingdoms line lacks bows, I may just have to buy a bunch of those robin hood mini-figures ... turn the extra robin hoods' into bards ... speaking of which, does anyone know how to construct those cool looking LUTES I see in many MOCs?? Thanks! -
This castle is absolutely amazing!

What happened to the Bow (weapon)?
Shroffy123 replied to Admiral Ron's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I miss the bow as well. I think the cross bow with the bundle of arrows looks ridiculous. So now I'll have a lot of arrows, but no bows. I hope they include the bow in the next wave -
Mabrook! This looks amazing!

I was hesitant about buying this set. I don't like that the red knight has one of those horrendous old grill helmets. But I might just pick it up now, the pieces will help furnish the prison tower set.

Review: 7947 Prison Tower Rescue
Shroffy123 replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
You know, as I was building this set, I keep thinking to myself, "wow they are really waste space here with this large piece ... they could've put something unique in." With that said, I gave it an "average." But I still loved the set (particularly the color scheme and mini-figs). I have a question for everyone. Any ideas on how to extend this set? Make it better? I am thinking about buying another Prison Tower Rescue today, and add on to the set. I don't know :/ -
Any body else have 7947 Prison Tower Rescue yet? What are your thoughts on it? Seems too cramped and bare. Does any one have any ideas of how to add to the tower? I'm thinking of buying a second one, and trying to enlarge it

Just finished building this set. Absolutely amazing. The thing I like the most, and this may sound dumb, but its sturdy! (unlike Castle Siege) This castle ranks as one of my favs, right up there with 6086 Black Knight’s Castle!

You know, my redcoats from the pirate sets, the white looks a bit pink. However it all depends on the angle you look at them. That may be the case with the new kingdom sets? Probably

Wow looks great, I'm going to have to check my nearby Toysrus here in Michigan, see if they are available yet!
