I'm not sure why all the disappointment. We can barely see any details in the pictures. With better resolutions and time, I think most of us with enjoy this wave. Honestly my only disappointment is that its a late summer release :(

I really hope that this isn't a rumor, and does happen. As much as I am enjoying the LOTR theme, I still haven't falling in love with the fleshies. I think I'd cry a little if my classic yellow figs ended up being out number by the increase in fleshie figs. Also, I find that there is a big gap in my Lego purchases. Now, I am not like most, I only stick to one theme, and thats Castle. When a new wave comes out, I but all the sets at once, and find that I have 3-6 months of no Lego purchases. That withdrawal can be hard sometimes. If they have two related themes, a new Kingdom, and continued LOTR/Hobbit, each wave coming out at different time/season (respectively), I'd be perfectly happy. That's all I'm wishing for.

Any ideas on making a dwarf mine/ruin?
Shroffy123 replied to Shroffy123's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thank you both for the pictures and ideas! -
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or ideas on how to make, start, a dwarf mine/ruin. I have a lot of grey pieces, and plan to use Mines of Moria and the Dwarven Mine sets. I just can't visualize it. I'm not sure how to make it look "underground," or if I should even try that route. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I don't think there is an afol here who can say they are completely impressed with any theme and/or sets that comes out. You got to remind yourself that Lego is a toy, and many parents aren't going to shell out hundreds of dollars for a detailed accurate set, like an afol would. As a kid my parents never spent more than 10 dollars on a set for me :( But with that said, LOTR (and all recent themes for that matter) have continued to produce new and exciting figs and molds that allow for better MOCing, customization, etc. As an afol, that's all I care for.

Lego Mirkwood Elf Guardian Polybag @ Toys R us
Shroffy123 replied to sgtbernalcl25's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I was thinking. Would we see Elrond as a polybag as well? Also, I wish he had a cape :( -
Speaking of the mirkwood set, its kind of annoying that they don't allow enough space on legolas's hairpiece (all elves for that matter) to equip the quiver. Lame, because you can do it for the goblins, as well as thorin, kili and kili

Hey just picked up all sets at the Fred Meyers in Portland, OR. Ill try to post pictures later!

Just went to my local Fred Meyers, no hobbit sets :(
-
I'm in Portland too, and was just in a fred meyers! Told myself to just go check it out and see, maybe they're in stock. But decided against checking :(

This news made my day! I don't care what era, or style, just the fact its castle!

Yes, where did you hear that? I believe the member who has gotten sets so far is from Greece. Please give your source - I'm anxious to start picking these sets up

I am hoping that the additional waves will, not only, bring to life the amazing Tolkien world, but also allow for great army builders. I know its mentioned in this post before, but this Hobbit wave lacks the Uruk-hai Army in the previous waves. You can only have so many Balins :)

Wow that seems excessive. Is excessive.

Nice to have Eurobricks back! Started to have withdraws. These sets look amazing. I can't wait to start picking them up (I'm hoping they start showing up next month). I'm curious though, with all the great new molds for this theme, why would they recycle the daggers from PoP? Kind of disappointing, as I was hoping for a nice new elven sword mold (beside the one Elrond uses). Oh well.

Will we be seeing any new pictures of Hobbit sets in Oct? It seems like its been forever without anything "definitely" new.

I'm not sure how much of an indication the video game is of the LEGO lotr minifigs - but if it is - I'm sadly kind of disappointed in how the Gondorian soldiers look :( . . . Anyone else agree?

Your army isn't small at all. Very impressive! I wish I had as many black falcons.

A small set with the white tree, and a couple of fountain gaurds would be an awesome set, and great army builder for Gondor.

1) I personally like Aragorn's pants - just gave him a brown cloak to it doesn't look so "naked." 2) Sadly no, you can't place a quiver using Legolas' head piece. 3) My Eomer doesn't use the cape, for the simple fact he didn't have one in the movie. It actually looks good I think. I use the green cape on the green torso rohirrim, so they look like the King's Guard.

Very true. I believe this rumor was quickly put to a rest by the Hobbit producers at CC.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion

The spanish knight looks amazing!!! I really hope I can get a lot of them, unlike with the Roman :/ -
Wow absolutely stunning! You've made me truly fall in love with the new LOTR brick. I can wait to see the next one.

Well that's good to hear, thanks for the info. Now given the set # and the amount of mini-figs, any idea if it will be a larger set. It would be nice to get a detailed, enclosed, bag end.
