  1. I suppose, as long as you are not in a hurry. Is the torque due to use of BuWizz, or can any power source work just as well?
  2. Uefchen - yet another Rube-Goldbergesque creation! I really admire how you are not afraid to get your parts wet and/or contaminated with food, etc.
  3. The upcoming https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Move-Hub-88006 seems more useful and interesting, with two built in servo motors and a tilt sensor, plus two I/O connectors, listed for $79.99 Not sure if there is any sets using this part, could be a hint for what is coming in second half 2019?
  4. I'm not feeling the 'Vette - maybe once reviews come out or we see it in the flesh. If its being marketed as a Corvette, it should be immediately recognizable, and this is not - better to have been a larger model or have some new parts to achieve the look, rather than compromise. So many small details are off, that the whole is disappointing. Will remain open-minded, though.
  5. So much for Corvette-anticipation. Maybe I'll buy an extra-Tron ideas set instead... The cherry picker, while nothing new or creative, would be a great introduction to Technic for a 5-6 year old. Easy to build, has functionality, etc. and looks like something familiar while clearly showing how the function works.
  6. Nice job ZBLJ! Wonder if adding track studs would help the performance on the indoor slope test?
  7. New parts are not idly created- wonder what they have in store for us 2H19 or 2020? I am not a fan of the A model, B seems a bit more suited to the tracks and oversized sprocket. Also, this set passed the 11-year old approval test, so I am guessing TLG knows what it is doing. I am going to guess that we will see something similar every two to three years.
  8. If I was a Porsche fan, I'd be ecstatic over this set - iconic, great display, decent price point, etc. But alas, not for me.
  9. Looks like the Bugatti had an overnight trip to Cadillac Ranch Well done.
  10. Logun's Run, Westworld, Omega Man, original Lost in Space TV show, original Planet of the Apes movies, and of course, Babylon 5 - all classics for their time. Lately though, I've been watching live cams on YouTube - Yellowstone Park Old Faithful cam, Brooks Falls - Katmai National Park (the salmon are running and the bears are hungry), Kilueua volcano (Rusty lives!), etc.
  11. I think the orange overwhelms the subject, a little less intensity or saturation would have been better, and better match the luminosity of the blue side. Otherwise, the concept really works
  12. Is the falling log just something for the box art, or is it a function? Considering the number of pneumatic parts plus PF, this could be a good starter set. And,who is going to be the first to motorize the chainsaw
  13. My thumbs hurt just looking at it - imagine having to insert all of those pins, over and over again...
  14. Notice that the battery box is not Technic compatible, so I imagine that there will be a Technic specific version of PF2 / PU.
  15. I wonder how fragile the orange swirly cam-thingy is? Could be another disaster in the works like the 1L worm gear was. SInce the model isn't motorized, might be OK, but I would be cautious using it in a motorized gearbox.
  16. I think the Sopwith may have a few Technic parts, and it has *functions* , including a (imagine celestial chorus singing) functional joystick
  17. My kid and I are currently into building WWII fighter/bomber plane model kits - trying to get authentic detailing, nose art, and may venture into dioramas. However, I am thinking about breaking out our Sopwith Camel set for building as it somewhat fits in.
  18. Compared to brickless_kiwi or bublehead, I'm just a piker with only 4 sets left unbuilt. (Arocs, 42025, some creator set my kid wanted, and oddly, 42009),
  19. If you think Powered Up sounds bad, people around here talk about engine efficiency in terms of Fuel Utilization
  20. Well done, Grum; but, where is the little white truck
  21. Wow, look what happens when you get busy at work for 12 hours - had to read through 6+ pages of comments. Is it me, or are the Unimog tires significantly flattened due to vehicle weight? See rear tire, or could be just the angle of view.
  22. What did we tell you about posting pictures of clone-brand sets . Actually, I am just flabbergasted that someone would do this, I can't imagine the cost of all the printing filaments used. Very impressive results, especially the "nano"-motors.
  23. I have the same invisible icon on my Android phone, albeit it's an older model.
  24. Instead of building Technic, I've had a go at some kit models - here is a 1964 Chevrolet Impala, stock version (except mine had single, not dual exhaust), complete with 1970's Earl Scheib $100 paint job - interior/exterior colors are authentic to the car we finally sold, in working condition, after 20 years good service. and the obligatory underside view They truly don't make them like this anymore
  25. Both good choices, sorry that I can't post a link right now, but clearly Tangerine Dream is the best, perhaps 'Poland' or 'Le Parc' will do
