This is funny work Slyowl It has been placed in the Land Index Pot. Is it just me, or are more ppl using the Phes phace lately?
-
Would you be willing to contribute your flag design to the Library of Piratey flags ? BTW: For indexing purposes, I was curious how this ship is different from this one?
-
Interesting work Mr. Bluebard. I never knew astromech droids have been around for that long Suppose i could start incorporating them into my MOCs This fine MOC has been added to row 10 of the vig portion in Index of Land-Based MOCs.

Mr. Oli212Lego, Please elaborate further what the intent of this thread is. If it's a request for the Lego Group to make another pirates theme, please refer to the We want Pirates! thread. Also, there are a couple of threads that i've found that deal with suggestions for new sets: New Pirate Set Ideas, Oh Ya, its that time again!! New Pirate Sets, What should the LEGO Group make for a new Pirate theme?.

Welcome to the light brother! Do you have any further plans with piratey MOCs? BTW: Welcome to the Vig Portion for the Index of Land Based MOCs

Do you think it'd be a good idea in pirates or MF customization network? It sounds like a good idea! Feel free to move my post (or i can i think) if you decide which forum it belongs in.

In my opinion, the new M1 Garand looks closer to the flintlock muskets used by U.S. Naval Marines than the official Lego one. I was curious what you guys thought. Here's a comparison my Marines: (I'm asking for a little imagination here though, but probably less imagination required to use the official Lego musket :-D ) I don't think it looks too bad at all. For more realism, the barrel could be a little longer and the sight on the tip of the barrel removed, but seems a lot closer than the lego version. Here's a thumb-link to the actual Marines with their muskets: Also, i posted similar comment in the BrickArms website.

Master Chief: Phred's version
Capn Frank replied to Capn Frank's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Well, i finally placed an order through BA and got my order today! So i figured i'd give an update about my Master Chief. Here is Master Chief's signature weapon, the Assault Rifle! I did order 2 black ones, but i was happy to see that BrickArms gave me a free brown one. :-) I'm thowing a Frag Grenade and holding my MOC Rocket Launcher, and my wife is holding her favorite weapon, the shot gun. Last, but not least, I'm duel wielding 2 SMGs, while my wife has the Pistol. -
Ok, ok! I'm going! I'll only be there on Saturday with my wife. We're not going to stay in a hotel or anything. Just gonna drive there in the morning and head home at night.

Captain Green Hair and Mr. Tiber's Steampunk Pirate Ship
Capn Frank replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I really like it! This MOC makes me want to build something similar. I love the windows on the sides of the lower stern Hopefully you'll be able to master cap'n green hair's rigging techniques soon. I know i haven't. I'm still trying though. It looks like Cap'n Green Hair combed his hair. P -
New Brickarms Items Now Available!
Capn Frank replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanx Badger! Just placed a small order. Gonna have to wait on the med kit though. I'm gonna see how the Garand looks on my 1812 US Naval Marines. (it's about as historically accurate as using 15th century flintlocks ) P -
They look nice. As said already, it'd be nice if there was a little variety, but one good thing i can say is that they look more like cannibals than the islanders. :pir-skull: P

Arrgh! It may be helpful if Mr. Lock knew which this book this be matey. It's called The 100-Gun Ship Victory (Anatomy of the Ship Series) Here's an Amazon link with a pic of the cover:

Great work Duke (who is my brother) I'm glad you're well on your way to finish this ship onto bigger projects. Those be some nice little cannons ya got there matey. Duke didn't have any sweet bricks to make a plunger. So i had to use this black scimitar he had laying around instead.

(it's not a double post if the second post is on the next page is it? ) Well, now that i've placed my entries in for the Pirate competition, i can resort my bricks (which i haven't done since making the Coffee Shop. ) But i got side tracked and got some progress done worth taking a picture of: Mr. Tiber proudly presents, the stern! (well, the first attempt of it at least ) The stern of the constitution has changed drastically over the years and there are multiple versions of the same stern on multiple paintings. This makes it confusing, but lets me have a little freedom in design of the stern. Here are the two main types of the stern of 1812 from the reference book i'm using: I do plan to put decals or something to have more stars and stripes (that was punny ) like to the left and right of the windows and the shield over the eagle. I like how it has turned out so far though. What do yous guys think? P

I've been so busy posting my contest entry and updating indexes that i almost missed this thread. Thanx a lot guys. Hopefully Mr. Tiber can show me all the ropes to a Pirate MOD. He's like my older brother (that's younger than me ) Well close. I was a Regulator, which is a step below a MOD. Oh yeah, Congratulations SlyOwl! P

I liked it. If you edit your first post you can edit the title of the thread. Plus i think Joey was talking about the little title above your first pic that i've fixed for ya. What's wrong with soda pop in India? I'm confused. P

"A Pirate's Life!" Contest - Discussion Thread
Capn Frank replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Pirates
Large and last entry submitted. Skipper, I like your entry. But i've gotta know, where on earth did you get those "leaves" on top of your trees. I've never seen those before. P -
Class of Entry: Large Set (200 pcs or less) The Gunboat 186 pieces. A gunboat is any small, undecked craft carrying 1 to 3 cannons powered by sail or ore up to 50 feet (15 m) long. They're basically a large rowboat type vessel with cannon(s), which were used for coastal defense. The Revolutionaries use many gunboats due to their low cost. Although a well placed cannon ball will sink this vessel in a single shot. However, a few of these vessels can cause serious damage to an Imperial Ship before they're all destroyed. :pir-skull: This Gunboat comes with a crew of 5, one of which is a Revolutionary Lieutenant. The rudder is fully functional and a small crate of cannon balls and a barrel of powder is included. Not a lot of provisions are needed in such a craft since they rarely wander far from their harbors. Help the Revolutionaries defend their coast line against the mighty Imperial Navy with these small, yet maneuverable craft.

That's exactly what i mean! There are even more studs on there than what i saw. P Phred: BTW, What's up with the baby with the mustache? Did you post an explanation yet; i didn't see one.

Looking forward to some better quality pics. *y* It's always a great way to introduce yourself here at pirate.EB forum by posting a ship. I've added this ship to the Index of MOC Ships. P
-
Nice work Duke (who isn't my brother ) There are a lot of detail put into such a small model. Are there any plans to make a M-F scale ship in the near future? Also, I'm hoping your ship will enjoy its stay in the Index of MOC Ships. *y* P
-
Great work yet again Cap'n Slyowl! *y* I think you do like studs! I don't know what you or other ppl are talking about. There's like 15 wholes studs that i've seen on this model. Welcome to the Land-Based MOC Index again. P
-
Great work BlueBard! *Y* I enjoyed indexing this MOC very much. There are A LOT of great little details all over this harbor! My favorite is the retired merchant! That's awesome that each M-F has his own little story. P

This is a very fine picture indeed with many great details. *y* Too bad there isn't more info about this particular ship. Which index is that? P
