Click Here to vote in more Polls!!! ding ding ding ding! Pirates and wenches, welcome to tonight's fight! This is going to be a real exciting fight! In the blue corner we have the Serapis II created by Palidin. And in the yellow corner we have a pirate ship built by Xyston. This is not a typical fight between the Imperial Forces and the gruesome Pirates. It's much more important than that. This is a battle between two distinct ideals that span through all factions of the pirate universe. Which way do you fly your flags on the top of the masts on your ships? -Do you fly them backwards as represented by the Serapis II ship? -Or do you fly them forwards as represented by Xyston's pirate ship? Click on poll and state your reasons for your choice here! Oh, and fight nicely too. (if you'd like to comment on the ships themselves, both pictures are links to the threads of the ships)

it's the early version of a sawed off shot gun I'd go for gray instead of silver though.

See ya later Steel Its been great having you around. Hope you enjoy your castle trip. I've never been to a castle.

I like the larger ship Looks really cool! I'd turn your smaller vessel into a water-land assault vehicle with a folding ramp in the front like they used in WWII. Just an idea.

Wow. This is very nice! Very intricate, i really like the silhouette that looks like an Islander or Emporer. The trees are fabulous! And so is everything else! I placed this great MOC in the Index of Land-Based MOCs.

Nice work Double-Oh. I like the use of the doors for docks. I don't even own any of those types of doors. I'll have to change in the near future. I've added this MOC to the Index of Land-Based MOCs.

Ok i'm confused. Is this a slightly modded set or a MOC made to look like a set? I get confused easily Hopefully you don't get stranded there by the Royal Navy.

Great work Legolas! It's great to see some new, creative forms of pirate MOCs. I've added this MOC to the Index of Land-Based MOCs.

Thanx Clonecommando I've added this ship to the Index of MOC Ships. Thanx Phred!

Way to make a minifig-usable grappling hook.
Capn Frank replied to cyclone501's topic in LEGO Pirates
Thanx Captain ads. Although try to elaborate on your posts or quote the person you're replying to to decrease confusion. Lego Grapling hooks are real! You can find find all the B-L stores that sell them in this pic-link that i posted earlier -
Great back story and great vig Looking forward to more of you MOCs. I've added this vig to The Land-Based MOC Index.

There seems to be an ever increasing amount of bricks available from the last time i looked at Lego Factory. I didn't know armor was available. I'm going to have to check out lego factory again. I've added this MOC to The Land-Based Index. Thanx for sharing medib.

Impulse: Dreamweb - Very innovative and creative set. Having a couple of Imperial training sets would be a great idea for small sets to build up an army quickly and get some great bricks. Small: Legolas - Nice MOC cannon. I really like the idea of TLG releasing multiple calibers of cannons. I would like to see at least 1 other size of non-MOC Cannons in a new pirate theme. Large: Duke (the one that's my brother) - I really wanted to vote for a ship or sailing vessel. What's a pirate theme without ships?!? So i voted for the ship i liked the most. good job duke! Notice how i voted for the sets, and not the image quality.

Larryboy is a cucumber, not a pickle. And cucumbers don't have arms either! Your face is a pickle!

Thank you Hinckley and Imperial Shadows. I am so sorry oh great root admin. Please don't yell at me again. I'll fix my face as soon as possible. I don't know what that means, but thanks. Royalty check!?! I'll look forward to it!

Which "bird species" could be introduced to the Pirate Theme
Capn Frank replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I feel sorry for the M-F that has to clean up after them. Well i don't know why anyone hasn't voted for the flamingo. Poor guys. I mean talk about multi-theme diversity. Going from new mars-mission aliens to lawn ornaments! Fantastic! Oops nevermind, i also think that chickens would be the best choice. -
Ambassador Nominations for Classic-Pirates.com
Capn Frank replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Thank you so much for the nominations. At Mr. Phes's request, here are my credentials... Representing Classic-Pirates.com and all System Pirate Lego enthusiasts! Biography I found out about Eurobricks Pirates through the promotional images that ship builders placed in their brickshelf folders. I was very impressed with the pirate MOCs of Aaron Morse and ZCerberus and was happy to find this forum to actually converse with these great MOCers. Since coming here, I wanted to help this forum be successful with the hope of showing The Lego Group that there is a large and serious demand for System Pirates. I have assisted with updating the Pirate Indexes for almost a year now, initially with the help of Bonaparte. I am all for sharing new building methods and seeing how others have built similar types of MOCs, which is why i wanted to assist with maintaining the indexes. It is my hope with these indexes that people browsing them will get good ideas for building methods and find new types of MOCs to create. Since the 11 years The Lego Group stopped producing new System Pirate sets, there have been a lot of new types of bricks available and set building methods. Since the re-release of the Castle line and getting ideas from Classic-Castle AFOLs, I have high hopes in a new Pirates Theme being released in the near future with the same quality as the current Castle line. I keep my collection with current through purchasing Star Wars, Mars Mission, Exo-Force, City, and Indy sets. With these bricks, I am able to make some MOCs that weren't possible (such as the Turtle Sub) and attempt to continue to build MOCs with the newer bricks, but with the original great quality we all love in Pirate sets. As most of you know, I am currently building a M-F scale model of the USS Constitution. When this MOC is completed, I hope to bring it to Lego conferences (like BrickWorld) and make a website for it to hopefully generate more interest in System Pirates among AFOLs. Key Interests Lego Pirates has always been by far my favorite Lego theme. I enjoy being a part of and helping Eurobricks and Classic-Pirates community. And I look forward to continue being a part of this community. I have also read multiple reference and fiction books about the age of sailing ships. I have always had an interest in sailing ships and the culture during that era. Thank you again fellow Pirates for the nominations. -
First off let me apologize to myself and staff for double posting here. I've got a good reason for this. I wanted to be sure Joey Lock saw my gatling gun up close. Anywayz. I'm not too good and showing stuff off, but i know Imperial Shadows is. So take it away IS. IS: Why thank you Phred. Joey, it appears that you'd like a close up of Phred's gatling gun. Well, here it is! IS: Here's a nice side view... ...Okay then lets go check out the front of th- Stauder: Hey Shadows sorry i'm late. IS: Why are you here?!? Stauder: You said you needed help with something. IS: Fine, fine. Just stand over there. I'm busy right now. Where was I? Oh yeah, the gatling gun... IS:...we'll just swing 'er 'round here. Now here we have the fully functional hand crank to operate th- Stauder:Can I- IS: No! Hey Jocko and Hinck. GUYS! Can you hold this please? Hinckley & Jocko: Oh, sure. Stauder: Fine, I'll just leave. guess you really didn't want my help. Oooo! These are pretty cool!. IS: And here's a nice close up of the underside of gatling gun. I'm having a hard time figuring out how these bricks fit together, but this gun looks cool. Thank you Imperial Shadows.

Ambassador Nominations for Classic-Pirates.com
Capn Frank replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'd definitely like to nominate Mr. Phes. His only weakness is his lack of MOCing. But he definitely makes up for it through running this forum and Classic-Pirates effectively, his great enthusiasm for pirate lego, and his commitment to Eurobricks and Classic-Pirates! Initially I was not planning to apply for LA, I have 2 semesters of college left, so i wouldn't have time. But i want TLG to make pirate REAL bad! Plus how can i say no to all you guys. My worst semester is now over, so i ought to have more time now. Thanx guys. In the future, i hope that ZCerberus and Aaron Morse would be willing to post more frequently in this forum again. If they do, they would make excellent future choices as LAs for C-P. They're both superb ship builders and have great personalities and they're both good friends. -
I suppose you could throw a decal on the backside of the window to make it look like a solid door.
-
Same here. This is most impressive. I love the Saxophone! I like the drums too. That's a great idea and i may have to steal it for my drummer.
-
There is a lego door that's 1x3x4 that would work nicely there. They're from homemaker sets in the '70s. Here are the part-links:

Way to make a minifig-usable grappling hook.
Capn Frank replied to cyclone501's topic in LEGO Pirates
Lots of grappling hooks were used in Pirate of the Caribbean. after seeing the movie, i bought like 20 of them. I was just going to have little strings tied to them and that was it. If i wanted a M-F to pose with one hanging or repelling off of a grappling hook, i'd probably wrap the string around the M-F's wrist a few times. They work good as anchors for small boats too. Like for small gun boats and junks. -
Thanx B! [Off-topic] I like to believe that the mythical Atlantis described is actually the catastrophic collapse of the Minoan Civilization. Some archaeologists speculate that the capital city of the Minoan was on the Island of Thera (now Santorini), which is a volcano. The explosive eruption of this volcano destroyed the entire city around 1500 BC and caused a tsunami to destroy all the other coastal cities of the Minoan civilization. Hence, the civilization sank into the ocean. [/Off-topic] That's what i think happened. I don't know, but i have 3 months to figure it out until i get back to my lego bricks in september.

Hmm, It seems familiar. But i can't put my finger on where i've seen something like this. Nice work on the Galley Errorist! It's very detailed. I like the walls around the cooking area. Those are pretty sweet looking. They'd probably make great interior walls for a ninja building too.
