  1. Arrrrrrgh! That's why we be pirates! P
  2. No, the title doesn't say it all. What's a fishing alert? *blush* I wonder if it's an Internet Explorer thing. P
  3. I have not, But once my Constitution is built, i'd like to ram all my brother's pirate ship sets. :-D P
  4. From my experience, this is very often true. X-D Thanx guys. :'-) I think the Hunley is too new for the pirates, being that it was launched in 1863. ;-) The turtle sub was first used around 1776, well within the sailing era. *y* Maybe we could have an Iron Clad competition and one of us could make the Hunley. :-) P
  5. Sounds COOL! *sweet* But I don't understand this part^ how can there be no minifig limit if each minifig counts as three pieces? :-/ In the Pirate's Life Contest there is a specific limit of mini-figs that you're able to place on the MOC. In this competition, you can place 99 giant trolls or 33 minifigs on one base plate (which wouldn't be very interesting X-D ). You can put as many as you want, but there is still a limit to the piece count. P
  6. Maybe i should do something with all my castle bricks. *knight* Don't really need stone on a ship *pirate* Great idea BTW *y* P
  7. Thanx Nikola! :-D As you can see i never went back to check the original rules again. :pir_blush: Well, i've posted my next entry. It's the Turtle Sub It was really hard to make such a small vessel with a person inside, close to the same shape. But i really like the way it has turned out. Think i'd like to keep this one built next to the Constitution. Thanx to my Slave I, Speeder Bikes, and Sand Crawler, i was able to make this vessel. X-D The largest one is almost done too. *y* P
  8. Class of Entry: Small (100 pcs or less) It would be great if TLG would produce another faction within Pirates. And that faction i suggest would be the Revolutionaries! X-D (can't exactly say Americans, that's just too specific ;-) ) Well here's my next entry introducing the Revolutionaries. The Revolutionaries have long been under the rule of the mighty Imperials and seek their independence in the New World. Since the Revolutionaries are very poor, they can't build many ships to beat back the Imperials, they must rely on a few small innovative craft to hold the great Imperial navy at bay. One type of vessel in the Revolutionaries navy is the Turtle Submarine. The Turtle Sub moves under water and can attempt to plant an explosive on the bottom of the hull of an Imperial Ship. 8-| Turtle Sub 97 pieces. Includes one Turtle Sub driver and a new Revolutionary Marine with ammo pouch. The top hatch opens up on top, and the propeller can be turned by the crank inside. There is also a hand pump for the ballast tank on the bottom of the sub. The sides of the Sub open to reveal all the details inside and to make it very easy to access the driver.
  9. Does this mean that each M-F that was 3 pieces each is now equal to 0, and any accessories and headgear added to M-F's still count? P
  10. Yes, we'll definitely have to see. ;-) Feel free to place some on your ship too. X-D P
  11. Hi Aaron! Looking forward to seeing some updated pics of your frigate! *y* Welcome back. P
  12. A pub is great idea mate *y* Lego never produced any of those, but should have. P
  13. Well as historically accurate as TLG will ever get ;-) But it is accurate though, some of the first African population to the U.S. did come as indentured servants and not slaves. X-D LOL! :-D
  14. Thanx guys. :pir_blush: (it says he's blushing, but i don't see the smiley blushing 8-| ) Yup, He paddles around in his wheelbarrow and throws cotton at your ship. :-D P
  15. From reading the Lego catalogs, TLG always boasts the maximum # of M-F possible and always include skeletons in their M-F counts for sets. ;-) BTW: Entry entried. :-) P
  16. Class Entry: Impulse Set (smallest) Lego fans wanted a set with more historical accuracy and less violence, so here it is: Jethro at Work Set #: 1134 Pieces: 24 Jethro was an indentured servant in the New World. He has all ready paid for his trip here, but continues to work at the cotton plantation with hopes to bring his family to the New World He uses his trusty wheelbarrow and pitchfork to get his chores done. Help Jethro earn a living here in the New World so that he may be rejoined with his family by purchasing this set right away! *y*
  17. I think this shako was discussed in the Fake Shakos thread. I've got a few of them. For structural integrity and a simpler mold, I suggest filling in the "Ovaled" areas below. From what i've read in the brickarms threads, plastic is cheap; it's the mold that's expensive. I don't know anything about mold making; it just seemed to make sense. :-$ A quick question, is the final shako going to have a plume? P
  18. Well, i've completed the proper paperwork so that the Telesell has a permit to be in the Index of MOC Ships. Good work Cap'n. *y* P
  19. My days are filled with non-productive time. *y* Well, i've got my impulse entry done. i'll be posting pics latter today. and i'm almost done with the large one. Now no one take my ideas before i can post them :-P But i can't say what they are cause then someone might take them. 8-| P
  20. Thanx Mr. Tiber. Perhaps this thread should focus on the Constellation since there are already threads about the other two mocs? P
  21. Nope, i cannot take credit for this ship, my name is either derhp or phred online, not personal24guide. ;-) I don't think this ship looks bad at all. The Constellation is a slightly smaller frigate than the Constitution. It's not done yet, so i won't be indexing this one. Well i found that there's already a thread about the Soleil Royal right here. And it's 17b in the Index of MOC Ships. Still checking on the other ship. X-D
  22. Capt Majek, Nice work on this small ship. *y* It has been added to the Index of MOC Ships. P
  23. Mr. Oli212Lego, Here are the links to the places mentioned above. Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds Forum of EB. Bricklink (with a list of all pirate sets given in link) And I'd hope you already know where ebay is. ;-) Or Mr. Tiber. ;-) P
  24. Well never mind then. ;-) Edit: Oops! This is what i wanted to quote! :-D That's a great idea, *y* it's too bad mine is almost done with something else completely. 8-| Hopefully someone else will steal your idea. X-D P
  25. Ahh :'-) Our little vassals are growing up. X-D But a kind word of caution, don't try posting like crazy to get your post count up like Hinckley does. :-P Most admin don't like that very much.
