  1. I had purchased this set instead of the Brickbeard's Bounty with intent to start my own pirate town with this set. I think this set could easily be converted or piratey use.
  2. I still watch and own them. :-D

    1. Adair

      Adair

Hurrah for Loony Tunes! Some of the best comedy in existence (after Hogans Heroes, IMO). ;)

  3. After a while you stop keeping track and/or caring. Now that I think about it while typing this post, i don't even know how many posts I have at EB. I'm sure I'll look and forget right away after posting this. Oh yeah... ...Welcome to the forums Cap'n!
  4. There is a lot of detail in this LDD model. Good work Cap'n Becker. I am glad you gave us more views of the ship. How is the bow coming along? And will you be making this out of real bricks?
  5. I saw one fig looking out the window in the captain's cabin. I do not see the other two. The ship looks good so far. This vessel is very close to the coloring of an american vessel. Is it american?
  6. Is a Camboose allowed?
  7. Nice Beer.
  8. There were multiple small errors in the pictures. I remember looking for them specifically and always finding a couple on each image. Hmmm. I'll see what I can do. I have a bunch of mid-90's posters and catalogs at home.
  9. Well... ...I suppose it counts.
  10. Nice little outpost you've got there Birg. Brick Are the two barrel halves on top of the tower the outpost's supply of water?
  11. Hey Z,

Are you going to Brickworld next year?

  12. Hey Cap'n, Could you deeplink the photo locations. The folder is not yet moderated, so I could not see the images.
  13. Thank you for the complements. I had forgotten to show a close up of the rudder, but it's a good thing that the Gov. and Zorro reminded me! I am happy with the design, but I don’t quite have all of the colors I need for technic bricks or modified bricks with studs on the side. I gotten to an "elevation" of 3 2/3 bricks on the hull. I am completely out of 2x8 plates and 1x2 plates modified with one stud on top. My wife saw all the plates upside down and was not impressed. Then I flipped it upside down, and she thought it looked real nice. There are other huge-ish WIP ships being worked on and most are more complete than mine: Teddy has his WIP HMS Victory Z has his Phantom Captain Green Blue Hair has his VOC Prince Willim. and Blacky has his Le Four-something ...and Plokoon's
  14. Well, its been a long while and I have not gotten much done. Lets just say I've been VERY busy with non-lego stuff. The last time I posted any progress for the hull of Constitution was when I was getting started on the stern. I got a little confused and lost as to how to complete the stern since it's a very complex shape and none of it is square. After spending over a year with other things, thinking about how to complete the stern very accurately. I think I have come up with the answer. I had put the cross-sections and side view of Constitution into CADD and drew lines that indicate studs horizontally and bricks vertically. With these printouts, I then made the outlines of these cross-sections out of (colorful) Lego and also made the outline of the bow and stern out of bricks. The brick-built cross-section outlines have made it very easy to build the hull so far. In the near future, I think I will be waiting more for BL orders than building until the hull below the water line is complete. This as far as I have gotten so far with my sorted bricks. I have a lot of unsorted bricks right now after a couple years of starting small projects and discarding them into a tote, which has now been filled up. Aside from the hull, I have also recently completed all 20 MOC carronades that will populate my spar deck: I am also very close to completing the 34 cannons needed for the gun deck and spar deck. I am three cannons short, but I have all the brown carriages and brown wheels that I need. The last 6 wheels were 35 cents each. I am glad I do not need any more.
  15. Enlighten is the clone brand that I obtained my two chrome swords:
  16. Yes I have. I just need 5 million more white tiles for the masts and landing craft. I like how you've staggered the tiles for strength.
  17. I couldn't have said it better myself.
  18. Here is are pic links to Greenie's Bluey's and Errorist's life boat and mine: This was my inspiration to create the one I made below.
  19. I am not a pickle. I am a cucumber. It's a common mistake. It's a mistake Hinckley makes ALL the time.

  20. Hey, I was just going to edit my post with that suggestion.
  21. I believe it would look better with the studs facing the other way. But otherwise it's a nice little design for cannons.
  22. Anybody can edit a wiki page. I would not consider it reliable at all. It seems a lot of this information has been on the wiki page since 2008.
  23. Neither sharks are "realistic". I think they both have enough detail so that you know that it's a shark. I voted for the new shark. You cannot beat that those sharks can now eat pirates. Mummy?
  24. I would not live in a dorm. When I transferred to my four year campus after a 4 year education hiatus, I was married and 25. My admission's counselor said that she highly recommended that I live in the dorm. I then told her I was not going to live in a dorm with my wife, dog, and a full moving van. Anyways, I will need to keep tabs on this topic, cause all of my Lego needs to be moved to dorm-sized room.
