Those windows are beautiful I'm going to have to steal do that to my windows of my next church. I'd be willing to trade! Or you could put in some light gray (or bley) or maybe even tan on the worn out and battle damaged sections.

I'd just use all the fleshie hands as tan that i've aquired and never use.

Try using the search engine. If you would have put "HMS Victory" in the search block you would have gotten your thread then Teddy's. There are also others.

Thanks for the Pics B. I like the ships with the lee-boards on the sides. It seems that only smaller merchant vessels (w/ prefab hulls) have them. These pics are much better than what i've been able to find for how the vessels look with lee-boards online or in books. Thanx. Hmm... ...so in Lego scale it would be... ...eh... ...much bigger.

If you'd like circular towers i'd try asking some castle enthusiasts. I went and took a gander over there and found some of these: By SlyOwl who used 1x bricks and 1x1 round bricks. Or you could go with the multi-sided effect: By ZCerberus These were found in the H&A MOC Index.

In general, I think lego M-F weapons are over-sized for their scale. I usually like to classify a lego barrel size to include a range of calibers, because there isn't too much variation in the sizes of lego barrel pieces and there is a lot of variation in the calibers of actual cannons. In my opinion, i think it'd be fair to say that the non-MOC cannon could include calibers from 18-lb to 24-lb (possibly even a larger range). If you're in agreement, then there shouldn't be a problem with saying that the middle deck has 18's and the bottom gun deck has 24's, both of which are non-moc cannons.

Nice looking vessel so far HMS243! I was wondering if we could get a close up of the channel for the rigging of the main mast? It's hard to make out what you've done on the teaser pics. Will you be making MOC cannons for the top decks? I hope so; the HMS Agamemnon (a UK 64-ship) had 4 and 9 pounders on the quarter deck and forecastle. The non-MOC cannons seem too large for 4-9 pounders.

It was a tie between Armada and Blue coats. I want them both. This made me chose the one that gives me the most suck up points to Mr. Phes and voted for Armada. Don't UK officers where blue?

They're all sea monsters to me. Does Lt. Kraken serve on a ship or at a fort? Or maybe a sunken ship?

Mr. Brickvergnugen, I hope that all of your quality row boats have been checked for leaks. As Mr. Samuel Arrow can attest, it's very important that each boat is carefully checked.

Thanx Mr. Fox. I wish i could make my barrels closer together. I think Kurt's (RTN LNA) design is much closer to Minifig scale.

How about some sweet looking bottles of perfume rum! I've bought a few in my most recent B-L order and was going to see if they'll be closer to MF scale than the Flask.

Captain Zuloo, I don't know what you mean by this statement. Doesn't everybody make B-L purchases whenever they need a certain brick. Didn't french ships have red stripes with mostly black on their ships? B's French ship has a similar color scheme. Unless B's L'Orient isn't French.

You've got a great start to your Imperial Ship so far Mr. Whity17,000. Will you be putting custom sails on this vessel? Do you plan on keeping the 2 masts? This MOC so far seems to be lacking the tumblehome effect found on most sailing vessels.
