  1. Unfortunately Kolonialbeamter is no longer available to serve the Pirate Forum. I hope that he'll eventually return as an active pirate member and continue building his great MOCs.
  2. Don't create multiple topics for the same question. If someone knows, they'll answer. You are mistaken to think this behavior is acceptable. Your other two topics have been cast to the graveyard.
  3. Looks like a great game. Thanks for sharing. I modified your Youtube post so that it shows the video.
  4. Thank you Ardelon for your copies of the guides to pirate mini-figures. I have attached the guides to the first post to each of the four topics, so that we're not reliant upon another site.
  5. Calling all Scalawags, Imperials, and everyone else who visits this forum: Since Classic-Pirates.com went down, these guides were lost too. Does anyone somehow still have these Pirate Minifigure Guides on their computer? Please share a link to them here or send me a PM. Thank you. Below are links to all of the minifigure guide topics and PDF names: A Guide To The Pirates Minifigures - part I - Yo Ho, Ho Ho, A Pirate Fig For Me! a_guide_to_the_pirate_minifigures-part_i.pdf A Guide To The Pirates Minifigures - part II - The Soldiers a_guide_to_the_pirate_minifigures-part_ii.pdf A Guide To The Pirates Minifigures - part III - The Imperial Guards a_guide_to_the_pirate_minifigures-part_iii.pdf A Guide To The Pirates Minifigures - part IV - The Islanders a_guide_to_the_pirate_minifigures-part_iv.pdf
  6. Thank you for the Review. I added this topic to the Set Review Index and added a poll to this topic. Lego.com called this set the LEGO® Classic Pirates Set while this topic says Pirates Adventure. Did the packaging say something different?
  7. Since you do not have confirmation that these sets are being developed, and wish that they were, I'll merge this topic with our current Pirates 2016 wishlist topic. Members are not encouraged to make short posts with just an emoticon, but are encouraged to add to the discussion. You should read Posting Standards topic that is found in EB's FAQ.

There and back again: A Phred's Tale. As we left Wisconsin the reliable weather man said there would be light flurries. Upon the beginning of our travels, flurries fell early. Soon after, it was an all out blizzard. The 1 cm of accumulation turned into 30 cm fallen in a couple hours, a slight miscalculation on the weatherman's part. We plodded along at a pathetic 50 to 70 km/hr for a 1,600 km journey on a freeway. We stayed upon the straight and narrow. Looking to our left and r...

...and right seeing many vehicles in the ditch, cars, trucks, semis with trailers, and even a plow truck. We plodded along. After 8 hours of this grueling driving, we crossed the Missouri River into Omaha, where the snow is lacking and the wayward vehicles in the ditch are almost non-existent. It felt like we flew the rest of the way to Colorado.

The trip back was not nearly as exciting.

  9. This is so true. I know I can be rude sometimes. My patience is not limitless. Someone needing multiple reminders for the same thing will try my patience.
  10. That's my first language! I also agree! Plain canvas would look good on an imperial, merchant, or pirate vessel.
  11. No problem. I only distributed the tags. It was Captain Braunsfeld's idea to create them, and Hinckley was the one who made them. I've gotten reports from individuals who have already received their prizes. If you didn't send me your address right away, it will be a little bit yet. RedSparrow, you need to contact me through PM or the email in my profile with your address and phone number. Thanks, Phred
  12. I also agree you found the right place. I would have moved it if I didn't think so. Your fig looks awesome! I love the pirate hat you built. You've got some real good piece usage.
  13. You are correct. There is room for 6 tags per profile. I added tags to accepted entries that had room.
  14. This topic has been moved from the Technic forum to the Community forum where it is more appropriate. Please share your thoughts as you would to fellow friends, and please don't give staff a reason to keep this topic locked.
  15. Captain Becker, Have you looked at using the masts from the Black Pearl or Queen's Anne Revenge? The pieces look like 2x2 black columns I'm working on a similar vessels right now, and I have been using your MOC as a reference.
  16. Captain Becker, that ship looks really good so far.
  17. Sander1992 shared a large diorama he and his brother completed for Legoworld in the Netherlands. The diorama contains most of the classic pirate sets, and great creations and landscaping. Come check out his Large Landscape Topic out in the Pirate MOCs forum.
  18. Oh boy, where to begin. I would start with Sid Meier's Pirates! Ship Class Wiki. If you're missing anything or have questions, let me know. I likely have a maritime history book related to it. The best book that may be helpful is: Ship: The Epic Story of Maritime Adventure It covers major vessels used for each century including the golden age of sail.
  19. Thank you for sharing Aanchir. You are correct. I am happy to see Lego continue to create the elements. It looks like they're also going to be made a colors not seen in the Pirate Theme.
