During the Pillage The Village Competition, Flickr user alexbrick2000 posted an entire town of MOCs and added them to the Nautical Lego Flickr Group. My favorite was the Hafen or Port. a Hafen3 - Kopie by alexbrick2000, on Flickr And then he also has the rest of the town that looks like it could attach to the Port. a Hafen untere Stadt Kirche1 - Kopie by alexbrick2000, on Flickr a Hafen untere Stadt5 - Kopie by alexbrick2000, on Flickr A lot of these buildings have interiors too. There is a lot of detail put into this town.

Please don't bump old topics with a one-lined comment. MOCs do date, but if you have something important to add then it's OK. You should review Revisiting Topic Bumping for additional guidance, which is linked in the Site Guidelines. Thank you.

I agree, the game looks awesome. I look forward to playing it.

Welcome to Eurobricks Celery. Star Wars brought me out of my dark ages too, but don't tell my fellow pirates that. I don't need to walk the plank. If you post your Lego Ideas, you should be thinking: 'I want people on EB to see my MOC and comment on it. If they like it, perhaps they'll support it on LEGO Ideas', rather than: 'I want Ideas support! If I post it on EB, perhaps more people will vote!.'

The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion
Capn Frank replied to Sebeus I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Colonial Possessions If you'd like to establish a settlement, please contact one of the members of the Oleon leadership team. In general, we would like a minimum of one settlement for each island. If you have an idea for a new settlement to establish at one of our new colonial processions, let us know! The Royal Office of the Colonies would like limit settlements on islands that already have settlements. We feel that a fewer settlements per island is a better strategy militarily and economically than many small ones on all islands. However, if you don't ask to start a settlement, you won't know if you can. Also, consider working with the established colonies to be how you'd like. Who knows, if there's no mayor, you may be appointed. Mayors are typically appointed for significantly contributing to a settlement or making a generous contribution to the empire. Le Bellan Settlement: Breshaun Settlement: Eltina Île de Zeus Nickname: The Shrouded Isle Geographical Features: Odd currents and wind patterns have almost permanently shrouded this island in a constant fog which rolls in and out multiple times a day. The island is heavily wooded, and 75ft at its highest point. There is a good water supply. Rumors: There is a powerful artifact on this island, one which Zeus dropped himself. This causes the clouds to be attracted to the island. It seems hard to see on this island, and may be hard to see ships approaching as well. Settlement: Astrapi Île de Tyche Nickname: The Trap Geographical Features: A small island, no more than 30 miles long, it is shaped as an upside down and backwards “L” the inner bay seems to have become a final resting spot of at least three explorer’s vessels and crews. This is caused by a unique wave pattern that comes crushing in towards the center of the “L”. The island itself has a higher elevation than “New Terraversa” which it sits only seven miles form. It has rocky cliffs, but none of the swamps that its neighbors have. Rumors: It is rumored that a great Pirate Lord has made this island his home, and within it is a great Gold mine. Settlement: Cecropia Pharos Nickname: The Tadpole Geographical Features: Maybe 10 miles at its longest, and under a mile wide at points, the tadpole is the smallest major island in the region. Like the Smoker, it sits up on bluffs, and old Volcano falling back into the water through erosion. There is little soil for producing much more than rudimentary crops. However, the cliffs and its small size make it nearly impenetrable from sea. A true stronghold, with few resources. Rumors: None Settlement: Acropolis Stéphanique Nickname: The Old Man's Beard, The Woeful Miser Geographical Features: The Island's bright white beaches cut by light grey limestone rock lend the island its first nickname. A well-weathered mountain makes up the middle of the Island, on the western slopes of which tropical forests grow. The Eastern coast is quite rocky, and there exists a natural harbour. Quarries may do well here. Rumors: The earliest report stated that this Island held a vast supply of gold. The adventurer who reported this claim retired early with great sums of wealth, but no further claims have arisen. The original claim was never substantiated, and the adventurer cannot be located for comment. Settlement: Windfall Island Settlement: Lavalette Île Sous le Vent Nickname: The Island of Clay Geographical Features: Less humid than many islands in the seas of Prio, this Island's soil is comprised of hard clay. The surrounding sea is deep, and the beaches are sandy, with a few clay cliffs. This island lacks any tall peaks, but hosts a small forested area to the southwest. The north experiences large gusts of cooler wind. Mediterranean growing conditions exist here, and it has suitable grassland for grazing animals. Rumors: Grapes may grow well here. Île d'Or Nickname: The Crown Geographical Features: This island's coasts are white sand, and the surrounding sea is deep, but a small ridge of coral does exist to the west. The natives of this island dive for pearls in the reef ridge, where they also cast nets for fish. The Island's soil is rocky, and not great for crop growing. Rumors: It is rumoured that there may be gold on this island. It is also suspected that the natives of this island are related to those from the glimmering archipelago. Settlement: Fatu Hiva Blueton (contested) Settlement: Dragonstone -

Itaria No Shintaku, We have large displays like this in the Pirate MOC Forum, because the display usually contains MOCs, and I believe that setting up a display like this of only sets is really one large MOC. There is a lot of great detail in this display. It likely puts the collaborative pirate display I'm working on for Brickworld Chicago 2016 to shame. It looks great, and thanks for sharing. It looks like a bunch of the vessels in the display need their sails restored. I recommend checking out Matthias' tutorial to clean and restore sails. Phredit: I replaced your over-sized images with down-sized images. You need to post images that meet the Site Guidelines. You typically don't need images larger the 800x600, 1,024 x 768 max.
-
I've changed your posted images to thumb-links. There is a size limit of 1,024 x 768 for posted images on Eurobricks. Please review the Site Guidelines for more details. Please feel free to repost your images once they're down-sized. Thanks. I love the expanded Eldorado Fortress. Once your images are down-sized, you should post a lot of the pictures you have in the Pirate MOCs Forum.

It does. The standard crew typically slept on the gun deck.

Brethren of the Brick Seas Poll
Capn Frank replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Sit Stig, Brethren of the Brick Seas is not done yet, but will be a building game similar to Guilds of Historica and Andromeda's Gates. You will have a significant figure and join Corrington (red coats), Oleon (blue coats), Eslandola (green coats), or the Sea Rats (includes pirates). You may join challenges or post a free-build of any MOC for your faction. Details will be released when Brethren of the Brick Seas is launched. -

The Friends Good Will's jibs appear to be setup in a very similar manner as modern Flying Scott daysailer that I've sailed in. I would assume the same rigging style as the Baltimore II. . At you can see the crew setting the jib, and at you can see the top of the jib after it has been set. , some little girls are raising the jibs. If you would like more images of the actual vessel, I have them uploaded to my PicasaWeb Album.Almost all of the rigging lines are tied down at the base of the mast. Hope this helps.

From feedback I've heard from those who go to a lot of shows, doughnut shaped is the best. It doesn't matter how big, thick, oblong the doughnut is. Having the center area gives you and your collaborators a refuge and a place to monitor and maintain your display. I think this topic would be better suited to be moved into the LEGO Events and User Groups forum. You will likely get the best feedback there.

There's Brickworld in Fort Wayne, IN. I believe there was an EB display this year. You could browse around the LEGO Events and User Groups forum.
