General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Capn Frank replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
No one knows at this point. It would all be a guess anyways. The previous Captain Barbossa figure looks really good. I really like mine. I recommend grabbing one anyways before the new wave comes out. -
Great little scene with a good choice of faces. The white-haired individual's torso is a little plain, but looks fine with the wig covering most of it. Hold on while I grab the popcorn.

I'm glad to see real builds attempting famous Dunkleosteus hinge technicque. I have a vessel on the drawingboard to attempt such a technique. I look forward to your future vessel. Thanks for sharing. Who is your lawyer? I don't think they are sane. If I were in the nuthouse, I would have plenty of time to build wooden replicas.

I pretty much agree with Captain Dee here. Treasure Island (or a version of it) would be your best bet for Ideas. Explorers would be much more preferable by myself. Asian styled exploration ships would be awesome. But not enough interest because people don't know about them. You've got Chinese Treasure ships, Japanese Red Seal Ships, and Korean Turtle ships.

That's a lot of great sets in this haul. :pir_wub: Where did you buy them? -
Members who sail The Brick Seas, such as Eslandola's own Captain Braunsfeld, have been creating builds to illustrate their stories. Captain Braunsfled has recently posted the 13th installment of his story, which started with the adventures of the infamous cunning Captain Cookie to the success of Colonel Brickinson after he has flown the monkey flag. Check out 13. The Brickinson Case. Come follow other great stories and builds in The Brick Seas.

We don't need a separate topic for this. Merged. -
By the creation of this topic and your other post today, it's obvious you did not listen to Rick's response the last time you promoted Ideas. You need to read the Site Guidelines if you'd like to remain a member of this site. You need to be thinking: 'I want people on EB to see my MOC and comment on it. If they like it, perhaps they'll support it on LEGO Ideas', rather than: 'I want Ideas support! If I post it on EB, perhaps more people will vote!. This site is not here for members to only garner support on Ideas, but to discuss the MOCs of the Ideas. I would recommend you revise the first post of this topic to make it less about Ideas, and more about your MOC. I would also add an image of this MOC to this topic to make it easier to see your MOC on EB.

We're not going to discuss you MOC at two locations, so I revised the link from Ideas to your MOC's topic. Discuss tweetsie's MOC there please.

The build form has been updated to include all builds. Main Challenge and Mini-challenge builds receive 10 DBs right away, and additional rewards are given at the end of voting. Feel free to select Main Challenge for What kind of build is this? in the Build Submital Form. You get some funds for the challenge right away, and Challenge builds can count towards the trade value of existing settlements right away.

It's not you. It's the sheet. Unlicensed vessels are manual entry. It's fixed now.

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Capn Frank replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
You are correct, you aren't the kind of guy that goes off-topic for too long. I was referring to the following example below that I felt was pointless: ...along with the hypothetical punishments you and Kaboozle were imagining for fake news posters starting with this post. I didn't feel you actually crossed any lines, so you're fine. However, I will continue to closely monitor this topic. I've seen far too many cases in news topics like this one where people keep making pointless posts in the hopes more news will come and others get too serious about upcoming set information and become offensive to those making the pointless posts. We are discussing a toy after all. Lack of information and false information is no reason to get worked up. -

Please don't fill this topic with pointless conversation not relevant to the POTC theme though. You were at that line before news of the $250 set being released. Thank you. -
Nope. Ska is the only one who is able to assist with that. I haven't heard anything since he posted this:

Moved. As long as the request for Ideas support isn't too shouty, and you're thinking: 'I want people on EB to see my MOC and comment on it. If they like it, perhaps they'll support it on LEGO Ideas', rather than: 'I want Ideas support! If I post it on EB, perhaps more people will vote! A single mention and link to ideas is fine. Great modular build though. By the examples, there is a lot of various models that could be made.

You mean Sept. 30th. That's right, the next MRCA has been confirmed to be Sept 30th. Hopefully more builds for the current challenge will make it into the MRCA and property yields. Thank you for you patience.

Thanks for confirming. I just hadn't gone through all the Google Sheets that contains TBD and change it to Puerto Alijo until today. Updated.

A people from the far west have fled a powerful empire conquering other nations. These refugees have been brought under the wings of Oleon. The people are religious, which is similar to the belief system of Oleon. These refugees are able to use their vessel in trade and generate significant income for these people. Their cannons do not use round, shot, but large arrows tipped with iron. Some more shots of the ship: My main vessel of inspiration: I really wanted to build a type of vessel that isn't exactly based upon one vessel, but could have been made. Letting my creativity go crazy.

Our very own Pirate Regulator, Kurigan, found this great Schooner on Flickr and shared it in the Pirate MOCs Forum. Yes, it's made of Lego. Know Your Pieces has now joined Eurobricks after this ship was posted to discuss this model. Come to the Pirate MOCs Forum to discuss this Schooner and other great MOCs.

Everything went wonky when I was in there last doing a text search. My last text search got added to a cell ... the worst cell possible. It's fixed now. Done.

Please, ask away. It doesn't seem like the rules have been updated. Coffers and Public Maintenance are the same funds. Public Maint. has been renamed coffers. Half of your settlements town bank income for this month (20 out of 40 DB), will be deducted from your town bank income next month. Go ahead and spend all 93 DB for special projects. If your settlement is raided, a percentage of unspent town bank gets taken. Since the leadership team wanted to provide larger booty when your settlements are raided. Public Maint. has been changed to Coffers. Your greedy politicians have not been using the funds for public maint, but hording money in their coffers to save for raiders to come and take it. The settlement status tab in the monthly summary now has a total coffers that will be deducted when your settlement is raided, and will be given to the raiders. Your entry says Acen-chia-whatever... Would you like me to change it to Elizabethville?
-
For the owner name, Ashen Guard Mercenary Corps was entered instead of the settlement. What is the settlement name?
-
Yes sir, only the settlement name is needed for licensed properties and build submittals.
