  1. Long live the emporer! :-D I've always wanted to say that. Err, type that :-$ Hopefully you can handle a french empire and eurobricks. P
  2. Doh! As Mr. P has mentioned there is a MOC Cannon Index too where there are 50 to 60 different designs for lego cannons. Ta da! The MOC Cannon Index :) P
  3. Thanx Mr Tiber!! I've been searching the net like crazy for that exact type of pic of the black pearl. It's getting close to the point where i'll have enough bricks to make a MF scaled Black Pearl. Though, i'm going to have to destroy the Dame du Loup :'-( But i'm going to wait a while though :-$ .
  4. I found the bell! X-D It's on the bottom right. :) Tis a nice little bell.:'-) Still haven't found the carronades though :-$ . Nice swivel gun design though. I put those in the Index of MOC cannons *y* P
  5. Cutless Cole, If the engine piece you are talking about is this piece: Then i've never tried to use that brick for a motor before. Hmm, i wonder how it'd turn out. I think i may try that when i get home tonight. If you're speaking of the x-wing engine, i tried it with making a (very large) carronade: It turned out ok. :-/ Hopefully that helps. P
  6. OH my gosh, :S I think i'm going to be sick. :-X I curious to know how many MORE rewards system pirates had compared to 4+ P
  7. I would say that they're not medium and large hulls but small and smaller or medium and small X-D I agree with Mr. P also *y* The 4+ hulls are definitely <insert that tiresome argument> though :-X I think Legeaux has done the most successful job of using this hull. I was thinking of getting this hull until i saw my brother's up close. That changed my mind real quick. You're very limited on coloring and shape of a vessel with this hull compared to the hulls we're discussing. Mr. Tiber, You have a pic like that of the black pearl? *wub* Hmm, yup it's first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and stuff :-|| X-D P
  8. B, Excellent vessel so far. *y* I actually like the red decks. They look pretty cool. Don't think i've seen a deck that color before. Quick question though: You have a pic of the cannonades and bell? P
  9. Hey B, is already on the MOC ship index ;-) Just FYI P Edit: No problem. :)
  10. took a little bit to find that part # cause the peeron # and BL # were different. I've got 31 of them pieces and made small cannons out of all of them :'-) P
  11. In my experience 3x3 facets and wedges seem to work the best. Then have some inverted slopes to blend the bottom of the bow to the top of the bow. If the bow is mostly black, then almost all the facet lines are "covered up". ;-) The bow on the dame du loup is 30 studs wide using about 50 facets. if you had a choice between facets and wedges, i recommend using the wedges. Reason being is that it would be a lot easier to construct it when putting it together. It was really difficult using all facets without it falling apart in the construction stage. However, my bow is very solid and is probably the strongest component of my frigate. :) For a 3x3 facet on BL the part # is 2462. For a 3x3 wedge on BL the part # is 30505. If you'd like other ideas for hulls here are a few examples: Here's a plate built bow: Here's a inverted-sloped hull: Here's a unique hull build that i haven't tried yet: P Edit: If you'd like to discuss brickbuilt further, please go to the Brick built hulls, I need experienced help! thread. Thanx.
  12. I agree with B There are also 2 methods of steering on it :S If you want to raise and lower the string on the crane you raise and lower the bowsprit :-X The cannon is fixed on one side. *n* No wheels or rotating ability. Seems like TLC spent 5 min creating a new pirate vessel and threw it in the market :-| The only reason i'd want it is to smash it into itty bitty bits with my frigate :skel1: . P
  13. It did >:-( and so did Wisconsin :'-( Happy Birthday Commodore! Let us know what you got for your b-day P
  14. Commodore, That snow beast must be really old if it's chasing Napoleans army 500 years after eating vikings :-D I hope you haven't lost any bricks in that snow :'-( P
  15. It's this piece: The BL item # is 6628 P
  16. Mr. Tiber, I'd use brick-built hulls if you want to go for the correct scale of the Archeron and the HMS Surprise. I couldn't find any stats on the Archeron but i did find dimensions of the HMS Suprise at answers.com. HMS Suprise For the HMS Surprise: The beam, or the width at the widest point of the ship, is 32ft. or roughly 10m And the length of the whole ship is 179ft or 60m. and the mainmast is 130ft high or 43m. For a rough estimate of scale from Lego to real-life, I have 1 stud = 1 foot or roughly 3 studs = 1 meter. With this type of scale, the width of the HMS Surprise is 2x's the width of a standard lego hull :S Now the Archeron is a larger 44 gun frigate, so it would have even larger dimensions. Let me know what you think. P
  17. Hmm. Lets see: * Both are eaters of the sacred brick. Mikey isn't allowed in the Lego room ever. Hopefully he grows out of it when he gets a little older. He's only 6 months old right now. As for the cuteness factor that is so readily discussed on this thread, i'd say it's pretty close to a tie. X-D P
  18. G@!$%*r isn't even in my vocabulary. *sad* I can't believe you guys are using that type of language on this forum. :skel1: Commodor, Comical retreat. I like the mod'ed image of your dog too *y*. You post such quality images :-D . Worthy of wallpaper. X-D P
  19. I like the pirate threads the most so i'm always reading them *pirate* and replying on them. Sometimes when there ain't too much to add to the pirate forum i might end up somewhere else on EB (like here :-) ) If there's a MOC that i think is horrible and can't find anything good about, I won't post in that thread very much at all. I don't think it's good for people to only hear negative feedback in a reply to their MOCs. I try to post things I like and then mention the one to two things i'd improve. I also keep in mind, we're all at different levels of Legoing with totally different bricks available. If i say something rude or mean and then follow the comment with a X-D or a j/k I'm just being sarcastic or joking. I do that a lot though 8-| On my posts, i try not to be too wordy and have a line space between every thought or subject i discuss. If ppl are really interested in what you're saying, they'll reply and ask you more later. :-) Plus try to always put the quotes in so that ppl know who i'm talking to. Nice topic Berry *y* P
  20. I don't know about that though. When UCS ISD came out, it was lower when it first came out in the US then went up to 300 USD. I don't think it was a collectors edition or anything though. So according to my speculation, the non-collector's version after all the hype is gone will be the same. Shouldn't go higher in price though, because of the brick-count. (1 brick= 0.10 USD in general) P
  21. What sad sad story. Poor pirates 8-| I hope that don't happen to my pirates. X-D I've been slowly building up my imperials with each BL order i try to get a couple. Just found 2 blue coats and 1 red coat for 2.50 USD each. I don't have a lot of money (at all) so i can just get a few at a time each time i get some bricks. X-D P
  22. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. That is if i was one of the ppl you were talking to :-$ Awww :'-) poor little puppy. Yeah we got dumped on too |-/ Church was even cancelled, but not college though. I don't think college will ever be canceled. P
  23. Thanx for the link Berry Syedow *y* I'll have to get it setup when i get home this afternoon Well some room at my brothers, but more than enough for miniature versions of our ship ;-)
  24. Another Minnesotan :-| j/k I'm in WI. Getting to be more and more Mid-westerners on here! (maybe call this site www.mid-west&eurobricks.com :-D ) Welcome Cole, Got any progress pics of the interceptor? P
