  1. If Episode VII isn't coming until the end of 2015, we could probably get another four more waves out of the previous movies.
  2. It could be Lego doesn't see Thor as a strong enough name to sell any sets on his own. Throwing him in a generic Avengers set might have been a safer option.
  3. I really hope we don't see anymore ROTS sets next year. Having the first wave made up almost entirely of ROTS is more than enough for the year.
  4. I'm hoping we'll get more than just one X-Men set.
  5. From my understanding all this talk started about a month ago from a Brickset user claiming a Lego employee telling him the LOTR line is cancelled due to poor sales. The reality is that its too early to know whats in store for the Summer 2014 range. Unless the Hobbit sets have another teaser in the instruction manuals like last year, the earliest we're going to get any credible information is December. Both the rumours about the line ending and the recent set list should be taken with a grain of salt.
  6. Any ideas on which one of Spider-Man's love interests will be in the Green Goblin set?
  7. I'm not a big fan of the new helmet either. The mold itself isn't too bad but design of the printed visor ruins it. I don't see myself picking up more than one of this battlepack.
  8. It should be worth reminding everyone that the first rumoured set list we got back in November last year turned out to be false. http://www.groovebri...lego-lotr-sets/ The complete list of the rumoured sets ended up being: The Betrayal of Isengard The Black Gate Treebeard Encounter Bridge of Khazad-Dum The Battle of Osgiliath The Witch-King Attacks Amon-hen Skirmish Battle Against The Wargs
  9. Worth keeping an eye on the website that leaked the Hobbit pics. http://shop.brixit.s...-lego/starwars/ No pics yet but they do have the new sets listed. Hopefully we won't have to wait long.
  10. Really impressed with the minifigures of this wave. Thranduil, Radagast, Beorn, the orcs and the Mirkwood Elves all look fantastic. Never cared much for Azog as a character, but its good to see he's available for those who want him. His inclusion does give me hope that we may see other Comic-Con "exclusives" appear in retail sets one day (fingers crossed for Phoenix and ASM2 Spider-Man) The sets themselves aren't too bad. Dol Guldor Ambush is a nice little set, but Dol Guldor Battle doesn't seem quite as distinctive. I may just need to see more of the setting in the film though. I do like how Lego is promoting the modular aspect of combining these sets. Mirkwood Elf Army should be a good army builder and parts pack but the outpost itself looks pretty underwelming.
  11. I'm not buying it. We normally don't get any real credible information about mid year sets until around December. Its too soon for any real news.
  12. The Dark World sets seem pretty unlikely if Thor is being included in the Hulk/MODOK set.
  13. Would be nice if Plo Koon gets a new molded head. The current one looks too squished and narrow.
  14. There seems to be a few characters missing such as Polaris, Black Cat, Lady Deathstrike and alternate versions of Cyclops and Elektra.
  15. Wolverine's mask looks fantastic. Hopefully we'll see it included in one of the X-Men sets. Not sure why they gave Cyclops dark orange hair like Black Widow though. He'd look a lot better with regular brown.
  16. Aside from the anime faces, TCW clones have more stylized armour and the printing on the helmet isn't as detailed. The helmet is also missing the black band above the visor. TCW on the left, AOTC on the right
  17. I wouldn't say no if Lego offered a Diplomatic Barge, but its my least favourite of the four Naboo cruisers. The Royal Starship from TPM would be my top choice since its the most iconic and had the most screentime.
  18. No details yet. I'm hoping it comes with a bounty hunter Ventress.
  19. R2 looks amazing. I can't imagine Lego can perfect him anymore than they have here. The new Clone Trooper looks nice too. The printing looks much better than it did on the CW versions. Now if only someone can leak pictures of the new Chewbacca and the Death Star Troopers.
  20. I wonder if Scarecrow and the Penguin will also be new variants or if Lego will just reuse the same figures from the Asylum? I think a Batman Returns inspired Penguin would be pretty cool since he's rumoured to come with his Duckmobile.
  21. Pyro looks pretty good, although I think the new Nightwing/Faora hair might have suited him better.
  22. http://www.wog.ch/index.cfm/browse/category/Lego-Star-Wars
  23. I'm not a fan of this new villain either. His whole look just feels really uninspired and lazy. Plus I don't see the point in having a new darksider as a major Imperial villain when we already have Darth Vader.
  24. I don't like it. His design looks so lazy, as if all Lucasfilm did was dig out an old concept design for The Son and slap a new name on him. They should have just stuck with using Darth Vader.
  25. My thoughts exactly. Aside from the lack of cape and rubber nipples, the costume is identical.
