  1. I was just about to post these. The Forbiddon Pool is fantastic, and both Edoras and Minas Tirith are everything you could hope for as official sets.
  2. Love the picture of the original X-Men together at 1:02. Looks like Archangel will be wearing his X-Force uniform in the game.
  3. We still have two CW sets due out for the Winter wave though. I agree we won't be seeing more after that, but I don't see Lego cancelling the two that are already in production.
  4. Would be cool if Lego released a Boss Nass minifigure similar to the one from the Empire Strikes Out. I'd like to see more non-CW Jedi too. It was a missed opportunity on Lego's part not inlcuding Luminara in one of the 2014 Kashyyyk sets.
  5. Adi Gallia would be good. I'd love to get a Bounty Hunter Ventress with the gunship. Even better if she comes with that face mask she wore in the final episodes.
  6. The heads on each of the figures all look new.
  7. Here are my top three: 1. Edoras 2. Eowyn vs the Witch-King 3. Minas Tirith
  8. Technically we already have an updated R5-D4 since the droid is identical to R5-D8. The only difference between the two is the name on the box.
  9. Already supported both Edoras and Minas Tirith. NujuMetru's designs would be perfect as official sets.
  10. A Mumakil is definitely at the top of my list. I'd be happy if Lego went with a brick built approach with only the head being molded. Edoras is probably my most wanted location at this point. I can see Lego doing something with Gondor in the future, but there's no guarentee they will ever revisit Rohan.
  11. Looks like Cyclops is now sporting a printed visor and a standard hairpiece instead of his own unique pieces seen in the previous trailer. Is it too much to hope the change means a figure is in production? Both he and Mystique look fantastic! I'm already hating this game for having more X-Men characters than we do in the actual sets!
  12. Thanks for the review. It will be interesting to see how well the transparant arm holds up in the long term. I also really like the way they printed the Mandalorian helmet for the Bounty Hunter. Its too bad they didn't do the same for Obi-Wan/Rako Hardeen in the Starhopper set. Unfortunatly the other two minifigures aren't really that interesting and while the ship itself isn't too bad, its not exactly something I'd go out and buy.
  13. I'm not too worried whether we'll be seeing a third wave or not. Its the fourth wave that really concerns me. There's too many essential sets to be covered in just one wave, and once the final Hobbit film is released in theatres Lego may decide it has no reason to continue on with the license and move onto a new more relevant IP. It would be nice if they can squeeze one more year out of the license.
  14. So do I. We definitely need another two waves to cover all the essentials. Something like this would be ideal: Wave 3 - Mount Doom (includes Sauron) - Treebeard - Siege Tower (army builder for Gondor Soldiers and Mordor Orcs) - Mumakil - Edoras Wave 4 - Amon Hen - The Balrog - Lothlorien - Eowyn vs The Witch-King - Minas Tirith
  15. If they released Vizsla in this set wearing his Season 4-5 costume it wouldn't be so bad, since the minifigure from the Mandalorian Fighter is based on his Season 2 appearance. At least that variant would still be exclusive even though the character would not have been.
  16. I think something along these lines would be my ideal second wave for 2014. ANH Themed Sets - Luke's Landspeeder (includes Luke, Obi-Wan and 2 Tusken Raiders) - Darth Vader's TIE Fighter (includes Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin and a Stormtrooper) - Mos Eisley Cantina (includes Han Solo, Chewbacca, Greedo, Dr. Evazan, Ponda Baba, Bith, Garindan and Wuhur) - Imperial Star Destroyer (includes Emperor Palpatine, Imperial Officer, 2 Stormtroopers and an Imperial Droid) - Sandcrawler (includes Owen Lars, R2-D2, C-3PO, R5-D4 and 2-3 Jawas. Any additional droids will be brick built) Additional Sets - Rebels Preview Set - Flash Speeder (includes Padme, Naboo Soldier and Battle Droid) - Twin-Pod Cloud Car (includes Cloud Car Pilot, Lobot, Princess Leia and Stormtrooper) - Bounty Hunter Pursuit (includes Obi-Wan, Anakin and Zam Wesell) - Imperial Shuttle (includes Luke, Han and Leia in Endor camo, along with 1-2 Scout Troopers)
  17. One positive note about the new "Hair Dryer" blasters is that they only seem to be included in the new battlepacks. Everything else looks to be sticking with the regular blasters.
  18. I think I'd prefer to just have one large Minas Tirith set, preferably as a S@H exclusive like Orthanc was. My main concern is that the third wave of LOTR sets could very well be the last, and as much as I'd like to see Gondor get some representation in Lego form I'd hate to see the entire wave dominated by it.
  19. I'll take an inaccurate Cody without the visor over not getting a Cody minifigure at all. Would be great to also get an Airborne Trooper and non-CW 212th Clone Trooper in the Utapau set. I'll be disapointed if its like the Battle on Saleucami with only one clone and a bunch of useless droids.
  20. The front of the old one was a lot smoother but the length of this one is closer to the one in the movie, so ultimately it really comes down to personal preference. I think Lego did a good job with this one. I think its one set you appreciate more when its right in front of you rather than just seeing pictures online. Lego really captured the creepiness of the Weequay, Ree Yees leaves the door open for other Grans in the future (Mawhonic anyone?) and Max Rebo looks fantastic! Its always nice to have more of Jabba's crew. However its the Slave Leia that stands out the most for me. Despite being an update of an older figure, Lego did an amazing job on her with the printing and new braid piece.
  21. Thanks for the review. I really enjoyed this set. Nice build, very sturdy and plenty of room to seat the minifigures. Darth Maul is a little tall but still looks great with robotic legs, and the Mandalorian Super Commandos are fantastic. My only disapointment is the lack of Satine and Bo-Katan. I suppose the latter can always appear in Rebels, but we'll probably never see the Duchess of Mandalore now.
  22. Thats the head used on the Clone Wars R2-D2. Hopefully its inclusion in the Ewok Village is just a production error. As much as I like the idea of R2 having a silver dome the printing on the Clone Wars version is a lot more basic and less detailed than the movie one.
  23. They've probably made some minor alterations to the torso to match the newer astromech droids. While his current torso still holds up pretty well, you can see it isn't quite as detailed. Though I wouldn't mind seeing the new R2 also come with a silver head instead of the usual grey one.
  24. I'd love to see that mask appear one day on a future Wolverine minifigure. Wouldn't mind a new variant based on his brown/orange costume either.
  25. Yeah I'm not too keen on them either. The good news though is they look to be in only some of the battlepacks and aren't replacing the current blasters for the whole line.
