I don't have a preference really. The ship itself would be identical either way. So would Vader assuming he doesn't get a stylized helmet and Tarkin could easily be included in either one.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
wesker replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Can't wait to see the bridge set. Something similar to the Spider-Man movie one only more detailed would be nice. Hope we see Gwen Stacy included. Agent 13 reuses the new Princess Leia face from the Imperial Shuttle. -
About time we're getting a new Killer Croc.

Glad we're getting a new TIE Advanced. I've been waiting for an update to match the other recent TIE's. Looking forward to Vader getting a new torso print based off his ANH/Rebels costume and hopefully we'll be seeing a new Grand Moff Tarkin in there as well. Captain Rex's AT-TE sounds interesting. Probably not at the top of my list though. Depends on what the actual build looks like. Would be a good opportunity for another Zeb though. I don't mind Anakin's Podracer being higher priced than originally thought if it means the inclusion of both Shmi, Padme and C-3PO in addition to Anakin.

I'd like to see some yearly podracer releases, especially with Anakin's being released as a cheap set later this year. Would also be a great way to cover as many of the Mos Espa themed characters as possible. Anakin's Podracer Includes Anakin, C-3PO and Shmi Skywalker Sebulba's Podracer Includes Sebulba, Watto and Ann/Tann Gella Gasgano's Podracer Includes Gasgano, Padme and Kitster Mawhonic's Podracer Includes Mawhonic, Qui-Gon Jinn and Aurra Sing Teemto's Podracer Includes Teemto and 2 Tusken Raiders Ben Quadinaros' Podracer Includes Ben, Jawa and Rodian Podracer Mechanic Ody Mandrell's Podracer Includes Ody Mandrell, Fode & Beed and Pit Droids

I'm not too bothered we didn't get an elite TIE Pilot with the Special Forces TIE Fighter. Lego can easily include one in a future Microfighter and we've still got Episodes 8 and 9 on the horrizon.

I'm disapointed this still hasn't been remade yet. Both Zam and the set itself are long overdue for an update. It could also provide a rare opportunity to throw in a Senator Padme figure as well.

There's obscure... and then there's too obscure. I tend to like the background characters that are actually noticable on screen and catch your attention despite their limited screentime. Aurra Sing, Max Rebo, Sidon Ithano, the ESB Bounty Hunters, Salacious Crumb, the Jedi Council, the Bith Band, Ree-Yees etc - those are the type of characters I enjoy seeing get made. For others like Constable Zuvio and Airen Cracken I often wonder whats the point. If they can't even be seen anywhere in the films are they really worth releasing in a set?

The minifigure selection will make or break the Turbo Tank for me. The biggest problem with a ROTS version is that the Battle of Kashyyyk has been so well covered in recent years that there isn't anything left to offer aside from a new Luminara Unduli. At the very least three Jedi characters should be reasonable like the last release - preferably some combination of Luminara, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Aayla Secura or Shaak Ti.

Wasn't expecting another Resistance X-Wing so soon but still happy to hear its coming. Also glad to hear Lor San Tekka is on the way. Just Teedo and Unkar Plutt left to go and thats all the prominant Jakku characters out the way.
-
Glad to hear the podracer is still happening. I'm definitely hoping for either Shmi or C-3PO. Both characters are long overdue. Padme and Mawhonic are more than welcome too. I'm guessing by the price point this version will be a lot smaller than the last release. Its not such a bad thing as long as they can still capture a decent amount of detail in the build. Hopefully this sells well enough that we see more podracers released in the future. It would be great to see other characters like Teemto, Fode & Beed, Ann/Tann Gella and a non-anime Aurra Sing someday. Judging by the video the only element not included in the UCS set looks to be the Probe Droid. Everything else - the turret, the trench and the three minifigures all seem to be covered in both sets. I do hope we won't wind up with two duplicate Han Solo figures though, especially with Princess Leia still being notably absent from both sets.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Definitely the new Superman one thats coming out next year: -
I'm not sure Constable Zuvio and Sarco Plank are really worth it. You know a character is too obscure when even die hard fans can't even find them in the movie and there's already been enough negativity over the action figures about it. Still would be nice to have Bobbajo though along with Teedo and Unkar Plutt.
-
I would have to agree with you on the Jakku set. That being said...

I was actually thinking the new Superman one thats coming out next year.

That one wasn't released in all countries. The only way to get it in Australia is online only. No retailers here are selling it.

What you think of the Star Wars EP VII Sets after watching the movie..
wesker replied to Darth Dino's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining about the existing minifigure selection. I think Lego did a fantastic job at covering all the essential characters the first year. I can find no fault at all with the minifigures they've released so far. But at the same time we've only had one and a half waves of sets and there's still many more characters and variants that have the potential to be immortalized in plastic. One just needs to look at the minifigures from Return of the Jedi and how far we've come covering that movie alone over the years. I like to think that eventually the bulk of those remaining characters listed will eventually be made either through more Force Awakens sets or other sets based on future movies and TV shows. After all how many obscure Prequel characters did we get out of the Clone Wars? Plus we already have word of a new Poe Dameron coming in the Summer wave so thats one figure we can knock off the list. And I too share your frustrations about Eowyn and Faramir. -
I like the sound of a new Poe Dameron minifigure. Is it safe to assume he'll be a captive aboard a First Order Star Destroyer?
-
I wonder if we'll also be seeing Captain Rex in the new Rebels sets? Its time Zeb and Chopper got another release too.
-
I don't see myself buying this anytime soon. The Probe Droid looks to be the best one yet, but everything else included looks to be coming with the UCS Hoth set which makes this release seem redundant.

What you think of the Star Wars EP VII Sets after watching the movie..
wesker replied to Darth Dino's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They haven't been forgotten. My previous post was just referring to the remaining ships and vehicles since we're kind of scraping at the bottom of the barrel there. Only the blue X-Wing and First Order Star Destroyer are really necessary. The standard TIE Fighter can easily be modded from the Special Forces one, the First Order AT-AT and Quadjumper are too obscure and the Eravana can always be designed as a location rather than a ship. Location-wise (aside from the Eravana) there's still plenty of options left with the Jakku (Tuanul) Village, Niima Outpost, Resistance Base, Starkiller Base and Maz's Cantina. In terms of minifigures there's quite a few notable characters and variants left to be made: Rey (Resistance Outfit) Poe (Resistance Outfit) Han Solo (Cold Weather Gear) General Leia (Farewell gown) General Hux (officer uniform without coat and hat) Luke Skywalker Supreme Leader Snoke Lor San Tekka Teedo Unkar Plutt Special Forces TIE Fighter Pilot Bala-Tik (Guavian Leader) Guavian Enforcer Sidon Ithano/Crimson Corsair Quiggold Bazine Netal Admiral Statura Jess Pava (X-Wing Pilot) Ello Asty (X-Wing Pilot) Nien Nunb First Order Office in blue uniform Plus plenty of obscure background characters to pick from. -
Even if a new UCS Millennium Falcon was in development, wouldn't the most appropriate time to release it be in 2017 to tie in with Episode 8? TFA version will be retired by that point and a UCS version keeps the Falcon on the market until the next system scale remake rolls out in time for Episode 9.

wesker replied to Darth Dino's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The only ones I can think off are: Blue X-Wing First Order Star Destroyer Eravana (Han's freighter) Standard TIE Fighter (only difference between this and the Special Forces one is the lack of cogs on the wings and no red paint) First Order AT-AT Quadjumper (ship that gets destroyed on Jakku) -
A blue X-Wing and the First Order Star Destroyer are the only notable ships/vehicles that haven't been made yet. Other than that all I can think of are location-based sets like the Resistance Base, Starkiller Base, Unkar's scrap yard and expansions to Maz's castle. There's not too many characters I can think of left to cover either:
