I don't think we'll be seeing one anytime soon. You can usually tell from the printing when a character is designed specifically for the video game only. Bala-Tik and the Guavians both have that fake custom figure look in the game, whereas others like Starkiller Han and Pru Sweevant look more in line with Lego's actual products.

It wouldn't surprise me if we do see them in the next wave of sets following Rogue One. Other Lego videogames such as Marvel Superheroes, LOTR and The Hobbit have given us a first look at future minifigure releases in the past. What stands out to me about these three characters (and Starkiller Base Han) is how official they look, especially compared to the designs of the other unreleased characters like Snoke, Bala-Tik and the Guavians who are clearly made for the game only.

I hope so. I've been wanting those two for a while now and the Lego Batman Movie seems like the perfect time to release them. -

Can't wait to pick this up. Doctor Strange looks awesome and the set itself is a fantastic display piece for the price range. Hopefully it sells well and we see more Superheroes sets like this in the future. -
SDCC Superheroes Exclusive Minifigures Guessing Game 2016

I would cry if any of these happened. No more SDCC exclusive X-Men! Its bad enough we missed out on Phoenix Jean Grey in a set. -
Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!

No idea. I asked a Myer employee recently when the new Star Wars and Superheroes sets are expected to be released and apparantly they're not hitting Australian retailers until August. Conveniantly after the mid year toy sales have ended. -
Imperial Tank: Not the most interesting set. Reminds me a lot of the First Order Snowspeeder. The Tanktroopers are pretty cool though. AT-ST: Easily the best version yet! Definitely a worthy upgrade. TIE Striker: Looks like a fantastic set but the size little bigger than I would've liked. It doesn't look as shelf friendly as the other TIE Fighter sets. Shame there's only one Shoretrooper though. For the size of the set there should definitely have been two. U-Wing: The set itself looks good but I'm not entirely sold on the design of the actual ship yet. Combining the appearance of a starfighter and dropship just makes it look messy. I think it would look a lot better without the "U-Wing"s at the front but I guess they had to keep the alphabet gimmick for the Rebels. Jyn Erso also looks like a very boring minifigure which is a shame considering she's the main heroine of the film, but the pilot, rebel, alien and Cassian all look fantastic. Imperial Cargo Shuttle: I love this one! The all black colour scheme and triangular angles really give it a distinctive look while still retaining the classic Imperial Shuttle design. Hopefully the set comes with a solid interior. Hopefully it will come with a reasonable ammount of Deathtroopers. Overall I don't see myself rushing out to get this wave. I'll probably hold off on some of the sets until I see the movie and depending on what the prices are like.

The Australian prices on S@H are ridiculous! Lego prices have always been inflated here but this new wave seems to really be pushing it. Definitely going to have to be a lot more selective on what sets to buy.
-
Yeah from 1999-2011 which was pretty ridiculous considering how big a character she was in the prequels. They improved a bit when they started releasing her a bit more frequently for a couple years, but that didn't last long seeing how she was completely absent from last year's TPM sets.

Thats Toryn Farr, not Princess Leia. There's no reason why both characters couldn't have been included in the set, especially considering it already included so many duplicate Rebels and Hoth Han who was also available in a cheaper Hoth themed set that was released around the same time.

I think Leia has been fairly well represented in Lego for the most part - certainly far better than Padme has been. My only real complaint would be her exclusion from both the 2014 ANH wave and UCS Assault on Hoth set. There was no excuse for leaving her out of either of those. Still it would be nice to have Leia appear in cheaper sets for a change as well as see new minifigures based on her remaining costumes released. We're really just missing Rebels, D'Qar and Bespin Escape at this point - plus a long overdue Cloud City update.

I do hope something more comes out of the Wizard of Oz license. The Emerald City has the potential to be a beautiful set! Although if Lego ever expanded to other Oz works I don't think Wicked would appeal to me as much. I prefer the more classic characters like Ozma, Jack Pumpkinhead, Tick Tock, Mombi, The Nome King and to a lesser extent Tip and Jinjur. I think growing up with them and having plenty of exposure in the original novels, Return to Oz film, the late 80s anime and other cartoons they feel a bit more iconic and timeless to me.

I'm surprised anyone still visits FBTB anymore. The site has been a joke for years and the majority of its members have all migrated to Eurobricks and Brickset some time ago. The only good thing it has going for it is their Toy Fair coverage. That said I think the A-Wing Pilot looks awesome and glad we're getting this particular version since it seems the most prominant on the show. It definitely would've made a much better May the Fourth exclusive than the Stormtrooper we got.

Just got back from seeing the latest X-Men movie - was such a wasted opportunity for Lego not to release another comic based tie-in set like they did for Days of Future Past. Would have loved to have gotten minifigures of Jean, Apocalypse, Nightcrawler and Mystique. I do hope we get a couple of sets for Thor: Ragnarok next year. There's so many awesome characters appearing in the next film and Hela would no doubt make an epic minifigure. I also wouldn't mind Loki getting a new face print either. The current one isn't weasel-ish enough.

Not sure how I feel about the new ship/vehicle designs in Rogue One. Kind of reminds me of the old EU where they kept creating new TIEs and rebel alphabet fighters for the sake of having them. Also is it me or does Commander Sato have a different skin tone from the other characters in the Combat Frigate? Both on the boxart and the out-of-box pics he looks more tan like Palpatine compared to Ezra and Kallus.
-
After all the speculation this set was going to be underwelming I find I quite like this ship. Lego has done a great job at scaling down the capital ships into affordable scales over the years and this one is a welcome addition. Looking forward to seeing what the interior is like. Ahsoka looks great and Sato is a welcome addition, but including yet another Ezra and Kallus really hightlights just how limited the minifigure selection for the Rebels sets is. Hopefully 2017 can add some more fresh faces to the line so it doesn't feel so repeadative.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
wesker replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Love the new Spider-Man! The colours look great and the arm printing is a nice touch. The truck looks like a nice build and Hawkeye's new costume looks great too, although its a shame they changed his head again. A bit of consistancy with the character would be nice. -
Not really. As a character Sato is pretty boring and forgetable. The main appeal of getting a minifigure of him is both for filling out the gaps for a complete Star Wars Rebels cast as well as giving Ghost crew's rebel cell a commander. He would be a nice figure to add to the collection, but not an interesting enough one to be the main selling point.
-
The builds for the pit and fortress are both very basic and underwelming but the set does provide a nice selection of parts. The Bat Buggy looks decent though and its nice to finally have Ra's and Talia. I'm glad they went with dark red for Talia's costume since it looks a lot more interesting and distinctive over the black one from the video games.

I hope there's at least one more new character included besides Ahsoka. One thing I don't like about the Rebels sets is the lack of variety in minifigures. Seeing the Seventh Sister, Eighth Brother, Commander Sato, Bail Organa or even Rebels versions of Maul/Leia/Lando/Hondo would be welcome over another Kanan, Ezra, Stormtrooper and Sabine.
-
When was Invisible Woman and Jean Grey planned?
-
I want that Sidon Ithano minifigure! Would be great if he and the other two aliens are due to appear in an upcoming set. The designs actually look like they could be real minifigures unlike some of the other characters from the video game.
-
But costume variations would help get around that. You'd still be including the iconic characters while ensuring they are different enough to not affect the sets they're included in. Here's a few examples of where they can go: PT Obi-Wan Kenobi - with printed brown cloak like the Ben Kenobi figure Qui-Gon Jinn - same as above Anakin Skywalker - same as above, TPM Padawan, AOTC Refugee Disguise Padme - Theed Battle, (unripped) Geonosis, Mustafar or Queen Amidala's Senate Gown Darth Sidious - pre-deformed classic outfit, Senate Duel or Declaration of the Empire Palpatine - Senator, Black Chancellor Robes Jar Jar Binks - Senator C-3PO - TPM or AOTC mainly, but even ROTS could work OT Luke Skywalker - 1977 Star Wars poster, Medical Frigate Princess Leia - 1977 Star Wars poster, Bespin Escape Han Solo - Death Star/Gunner Station variation of the main costume Darth Vader - Macquarie Concept Art Boba Fett - ROTJ armour Chewbacca - Hoth themed with patches of snow Lando Calrissian - Smuggler costume Obi-Wan, Anakin and Yoda as Force Ghosts ST Han Solo - Starkiller Base Princess Leia - D'Qar Poe Dameron - Flightsuit without the vest and equipment, Officer Uniform from the end of TFA Future costumes that appear in Episodes 8 and 9 There would be a few exceptions to this. Some characters like Darth Maul, Kylo Ren and even Rey may have to be recycled from the sets, but for the most part they can definitely get away with new versions of the existing main characters. A few other things that can make a CMF line work is seperating the waves by theme (OT, PT, ST, Anthology and television) which would help add a greater variety to the minifigures as well as balancing each wave with say: 6 iconic characters 5 support characters 3 army builders 2 obscure characters/aliens Ultimately the main hurdle would be getting past the licensing issues with Hasbro but I think a CMF line could definitely work.

Ras and Nightwing both look awesome! Hopefully we'll see Talia soon.
