Thanks for the remarks. I'll correct the index at next update! When I construct the index, if the user seems to report data correctly, I simply make a copy-paste of that in the index, and check that only if something seems wrong to me. So errors can easily happen, and that's way I request collaboration about other EB users that visit this thread. About sorting sets by number, it is an issue we already deal with (see here). The division of sets by theme aim is to provide users an "immediate view" of what kind of sets has been made, and a way to easily find a certain kind of set. In fact the organization is not exactly "strict". I think original theme subdivision is too complex for this index, so I tried to provide a simpler one.

Ah... so OXI Clean is not a ready product. Because of my poor English, I fear to misunderstand something. Can anyone provide me a schematic summary of what I need to know? I need a list of necessary products and components, and if possible a way to recognize the "OXY" product in order to find a correct alternative here in Italy.

@ILikePi Argh... 11 new sets to index in a single post! Admit it... you hate me! There are two or three wrong links (it is easy to find the right link however). Nice work!

You mean you have updated a na official set you posted before? In this case, remember to clearly report it (so that everyone can easily notice it) and insert a link of the updated post. Thanks ;)

As I've many yellowed bricks (mainly from my infantry), I decided to try the "OXY" way! So I looked for an oxi detergent in the supermarket, and I found different versions: - Standard - with whitener - for shoes ... So.. a little question: is there a product better than others? Or I've to avoid to buy some kind of that? Or it's the same thing? PS: It would be appreciated a suggestion for a good product I can find in Italy.

Don't worry, I was joking! I think I'll update the index tomorrow, only remember to report the update of the post where you announced the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer, so that it would be easy to find it! I expect a great work!

Making of... Circus Arena
Calabar replied to Bojan Pavsic's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Great creation! I'm curious to see the original uncutted version. Do you think to share the lxf file? -
It seems the millennium falcon, but I should verify. PS: images not related to LDD official sets should be better to post that as links.

LDD question
Calabar replied to jm28cardiff's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
There are various way: - using connected selection tools: all connected bricks will be selected, and than tou can move that as one - select with selection rectangle (left click on an empty area, then maintaining the button clicked, you move the mouse and draw a rectangle: all pieces wholly contained in the rectangle will be selected). - select brick one by one using multiple selection tool or maintaining CTRL key pressed. - create a group using LDD grouping function: then clicking on the group all bricks will be selected. A look at this guide could help. -
Create Mosaic for LDD - how?
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Oh, certainly it could not be a true 3D, but an effect like this would be perfect for me. The studs over the bricks/plates are clearly in "3D view", while I, using pickbrick, obtained only an image composed by big squares. Some time ago I tried to reproduce it using a pattern in photoshop, but the result was not enough good. Thanks -
Create Mosaic for LDD - how?
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
It is not a guide to use pickbrick, but a generic guide to make lego mosaic. An surely is something more complex than what I have in mind, that is a few lines step by step guide. Note that now I understood as pickbrick works, except than how to obtain a 3D result such as this I can see in the Einstein's mosaic photo (precisely in the "lens" detail) you reported in post #2 (so that I'm thinking that's not a result the software can provide). The "Short guide" I've in mind will be aimed to other users that approach the software for the first time and want to easily see a result. -
Create Mosaic for LDD - how?
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Yes, I've seen the tutorial, but is is not a "Step by Step" guide. I think most people need to follow few simple steps to obtain a result, and the software is not exactly user friendly. Later they could try to modify software parameters. However, I was not be able to obtain a "brick patern" still. I was looking for a result like the one showed in the zoomed circle of Einstein's mosaic. -

Could you provide a simple step-by-step guide for PicToBrick? I've some difficulties to use it. -

Brick update August 7th 2010
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I remember there was the bicycle already! Finally old footman's helmet has been fixed! Let's fix all castle set then Baseplates decorations are still wrong, rotated by 180 degrees respect physical pattern. Can we have an exact list of changes, so that modify our set that uses these bricks? -
[KEY TOPIC] LDD feature requests
Calabar replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Absolutely agree about a tabbed version of LDD! However, about the use of parts of other LDD models, you can simply use the "Import" function: import the whole model aside, select and copy the part you need and delete the rest. -
One day I saw set 7094 King's Castle Siege priced 89 euro in a shopping centre. So I said: "if it should go down to 60 euro, I'll buy it!" (obviously thinking that's not possible). But there was a "shopping centre" war about the price of that castle, so that another shopping centre put it at 69 euros. The other then priced it at 67 euros! At the end, thanks to a discount ticket (15% of discount on a single item) I bought the castle at 57 euro. From that moment, I never exited the tunnel!
