I can confirm BL 64566 is missing. We already encounter that piece in Medieval Market Village.

The question should be reported in the new "LEGO Digital Designer and other digital tools" section. You should inform a moderator in order to move the thread. -

Spartans in my box was placed: - 2 together in the left column, in the bottom part. - 1 in the right column, in the upper part (third starting form top) -
@legolijntje It seems a very good work at a first View! Only one thing: you should clearly report set's number, name and theme, all well evidenced. And remember to resize set's screenshot! For more infos, you can consult Topic's Rules in the firs post of this thread. @bspline You choose a very difficult first challenge with LDD! A pair notes for you: The first is the same I told to legolijntje about reporting set's data and image. The other is related to your creations: as minifigs are missing, I have to tag it as incomplete. PS: good work with ray weapon's transparent bricks!

Pics of the 4.0 visualisation/shading

Very difficult, I think! The use of direct3D will limit the software to windows users, excluding mac systems that are now supported. Besidex, OpenGL have few now to envy to directX. I hope in a native linux version, instead. -
Minifg collectors series 2 pics and barcodes

Finally my box arrives, and fortunately it contains three complete series. Here is the content of the box: - 3 Spartan Warrior - 4 Life guard - 4 Witch - 3 Pop Star - 4 Weight Lifter - 5 Ringmaster - 3 Explorer - 5 Karate Master - 3 Surfer - 3 Pharaoh - 4 Vampire - 5 Traffic Cop - 4 Mime - 3 Skier - 3 Disco Dude - 4 Mariachi -
I'm absolutely agree with you. That's why I dislike series with too many "bigger" pieces and I love the creator series. If you are looking for sets that uses not specialized pieces, then Creator Series is for you. I'm not so "extremist", anyway. There are specialized pieces I like, and I think they give a bit of variety to the lego world. For example castle walls are pieces that already exists in my infantry, so I like that! (the only castle with few specialized pieces I remember is the yellow castle, but castle series from 1984 already has walls). I like minifigures with different faces paint and decorations, I like some pieces that surely are not universal.

How do I access the parts in a .lxf set?
Calabar replied to clear's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Correct! All parts user in all sets you can find in the topic you linked are available in Universe Mode. Another way to obtain these parts is to "import" that from a model that already uses that. But having all parts available in the palette is usually more comfortable. -

I'm not sure I've understand you question. Can you explain exactly what do you mean? If you are looking for bricks not available in standard LDD modes, read again the replay I gave you here. PS: the sentence you quoted above is mine, and it is a replay to your sentence "Surely there must be a list of the included set with ldd?". -

Thanks for the answer! But the "spartan issue" make me a bit trouble! Similar problem for a friend in germany. He had the chance to examine some boxes in germany in different shops, and there was no trace of spartan minifigs. Perhaps there is a problem with European boxes... -
No, I'm not enough rich to buy sets I don't like! However, in general, I don't like new lego sets with a great number of new big pieces.

Are there known randomization issues for series 2 box? I'd like to buy the box and get three complete series! ;) -
hi everyone. coming back to the hobby.
Calabar replied to clear's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
LDD don't include sets, but contains various creations as example or as a "base". Is it common to don't find pieces in LDD (you can see the topic with official sets made in LDD to clearly see that!), but using Universe mode (read the topic I linked in my previous post to see what I mean) helps to solve this issue. PS: read again my post above, I edited it some minutes ago. Another not less important reason is that people (like me ) who has difficulties with English language can find hard to understand a text not correctly written! -

Calabar replied to clear's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
i mean can you make your own lego sets? Obviously yes, you can do what you want using pieces available and legal connections. Note that with universe mode you can access a greater number of pieces and colours. Not only: if you use "Design by Me" mode (but with a limited number of pieces and colors), at the end of you work you can order your creation al lego.com, and it will arrive in a box with the image of your unique set. It is not exactly cheap, however! PS: I think you'll should learn to use quote function! Try to edit you post above and clearly separate the quoted parts written by my from the new text you write as answer. -

Hi and welcome. You can introduce yourself in the specific section of the forum! About your questions: is ldd a decent program? I think it is enough good. It is not perfect, surely, but I see a continuous effort of the LDD team to improve it. If you are looking for a complete LEGO cad software for your creations, I think LDD is not the right one. But if you wish a software to construct for fun, LDD is surely what you need. what do you like and dislike about ldd? I like the "easy to use" interface, that allow an experience similar to real construction. I hate its limitations, for example I can't part composed bricks, I have to use legal connection only, I can't add stickers or missing bricks. Obviously there are many things that LDD can improve, and I hope to see these improvement in the future. i admit, i never really learned how to truly build with legos, (not on a modelers skill level anyway) so im wondering, if there's a place to find free building plans for me to create what normally i could not. is ldd expandable? There are many sites where you can find instructions, for example peeron (picsl), Bricklink, Brickfactory, Brickset, etc... and, obviously, LEGO site. is ldd expandable? What do you mean, exactly? -
Really Thanks!!! Can I ask some questions? - So oxyclean is necessary? You use it to obtain you results? - peroxide is the solution at 3%? Is it a "ready" fluid or a powder I've to mix with water? - in you experience, is two hours the amount of time you think is necessary to obtain the correct result? With or without oxyclean? - have I to shake or move the jar in order to best expose all sides of bricks to the sunlight? - is the sunlight necessary if I don't use oxiclean? - is it possible to recycle the Hydrogen Peroxide for other bricks? Excuse me for insistence, but because of my poor English, I fear to misunderstand something important! EDIT: I miss fred67 post, that replays to some of my answers. I notice now that "Hydrogen Peroxide" is the common disinfectant that I've at home already! That makes things much clearer

Really, I can't see the problem. You have not to manually search for the set in the index, because the browser will search it for you (usually with CTRL+F, or with automatic search during digitation such as in firefox) in a while. So, if you, for example, think to built set 6382, you only have to access the index page, press CTRL+F and type 6382: if the set is already indexed, it will be immediately found. Note that usually the index is not updated to to the last post, so you should search both in the index than in the last pages of the topic to be sure a set has not already built! In the index (on the bottom part of the first post of the topic) you can find all infos about the last index update, including the last post checked.

Perhaps it could seems a stupid question but... "3% peroxide" is a liquid mixture? However super curry max obtained that great result in few hours! So.. a little appeal: can you create a "guide for dummies", explaining step by step the procedure and specifying every little "trick"?
