  4. Thanks for the fix! About your question, many sets made in LDD has custom parts, as LDD have not all necessary parts to built that! And that's a part of the fun, so that identical sets made by different users can reach the goal with different clever solutions! PS: as told in topic rules, if you use a custom brick to replace a missing brick, you can post your brick here! So, if you have other official sets made with LDD, you can post that here (or, if you want, you could wait for LDD 4.0 and overhaul that), but not all together please... I have to index that than!
  5. Hi, and thanks for your contribution! The image you posted exceed the maximum size, according to the topic's rules. Could you resize it?
  6. That's great.. personalized decals! Could you extract ALL the models of Universe Game? (with an automatic process, I mean)
  7. Very interesting! There is only a problem: ldd 4 is next to be released, and than it could be wasted work! Perhaps we should wait fot LDD 4, and then try to do the same thing. If that trick should work with LDD 4 too, we could organize an "unofficial LDD pack", so that all LDD users could access to all pieces used in our LDD creations. PS: about extra decals, did you use ad a custom decal or a ready decal taken by Lego Universe Game?
  8. Very good work! Could you add to your post a direct link to the post where the castle is? (so that it is immediately reachable, and because reference to pages can change after a "cleaning" of the topic). @Zblj your last post is irregular too: image is too big, and set's data are not highlighted.
  9. Your posts are perfectly regular, so don't worry! ;) The tag "Incomplete" is added because I took the names from my "index list", where I pin extra infos useful to create the index.
  10. Next days I'll update the index. I hope I'll not appear too "strict", but I think all of us will enjoy of well ordered topic. So from now I'll check that the posts respect topic's rules. That's the summary for the next topic's update. Sets that will be added to the index: - 315 - European Taxie - 381 - Police Station - 3739 - Blacksmith Shop - 6861 - X1 Patrol Craft - 6074 - Black Falcon's Fortress - 10213 - Shuttle Adventure - 4736 - Freeing Dobby - 4737 - Quidditch Match - 4840 - The Burrow - 856 - Front loader - 4738 - Hagrid's Hut - 4841 Hogwarts Express [incomplete] - 4842 Hogwarts Castle [incomplete] Almost regular posts (will be indexed with reserve): - 7642 Garage (Uncutted white stripes in the image) - 4841 Enchanted Car (Un-highlighted set info (number/name/theme)) Irregular posts (will not be indexed): - 850 - Fork lift (Image Vanished) - 5580 - Highway Rig (Image exceed maximum size) - 3366 Test Rocket (Unreleased Set) - 3365 Moon Buggy (Unreleased Set) - 5590 - Whirl N Wheel Super Truck (Image exceed maximum size) - 4721 - Hogwarts Classrooms (Image exceed maximum size) - 632 Crew Car (passenger car) (Not an official Set) (Image exceed maximum size) - 633 Mine Car (hopper car) (Not an official Set) (Image exceed maximum size) - 634 Tank Car (Not an official Set) (Image exceed maximum size) - 636 Dining Car (caboose) (Not an official Set) (Image exceed maximum size) - 623 Passenger Locomotive (Not an official Set) (Image exceed maximum size) - 5969 - Squidman Escape (Image exceed maximum size) - 8263 - Snow Groomer (Unclear and Un-highlighted Set info (number/name/theme)) (Image exceed maximum size) Other irregular posts (images should appear as links) - #721 #724 #724 Please check your post and correct that if necessary.
  11. I think it would be useful an "import piece list" for LDD. - Import the list of necessary pieces - filter the palette with that pieces That's a function already existing in LDD for starter models, so the only thing necessary is an easy way to import pieces list. For example it could be import a txt file that has in each line: <num pieces>;<piece number>;<piece colour> Or someone of you knows a way to easily add a list of pieces as starter model?
  12. You could replace missing door pieces with that, it is enough similar, I think!
  13. You can use Image Hosting services such as Imageshack, that easily allow to share an image and insert it in a forum page. Insert the image is important because, in addition to provide a preview, I use that to detect posts containing lxf files when I built the index. PS: good work, the set is well realized, technic ones are often a bit difficult. It's Ok than! I'll add it in the index as incomplete, until JunkstyleGio will complete it ;) It would be a good habit to insert a link to the set where is possible to find description and built instructions, at least for that sets that are not immediately traceable on peeron or bricklink.
  14. It seems this method suffers of the same problem than mine: I tried it but there is no way to have the backpack in tan colour.
  15. @JunkstyleGio It seems that there no available instruction for that set, so it's the same I told to BrickWild: the set cannot be added to the index until official instructions are not available and the set is not built using that. PS: but.. is the set complete? Or it is only part of 4841? PPS: please resize the image following guidelines (max 512 pixel size).
  16. That problem appears in HTML instructions and in universe mode only: apparently LDD picks bricks from the palette, and in universe mode the palette is red by default. You can partially solve the problem building instructions in another mode than universe one, but unfortunately only bricks available in that mode would appear in the correct colour, while other bricks are printed in red. Here is an example in "Design by Me" mode.
  17. Hi and welcome! You can introduce yourself here! As DLuders told you, you can easily change colours for all bricks choosing that from the colour palette. Universe mode is even powerful than reality: you can choose a colour for a brick when a brick with that colour has never been realized.
  18. You mean you built these sets without instructions? I'm not sure I'll index set built without official instructions, they could contain too many inaccuracies. I've to talk about it with Superkalle. PS: anyway, when you'll update that, post about the update in the topic, so I'll add the sets to the index if I've not done it already.
  19. Can you provide a link to verify these sets? With classic sets it is not necessary, but for new sets it is difficult to find a reference! PS: About 3366 Test Rocket set, do you think to complete it soon?
  20. Perhaps I've not understood well (my English is not much good!), but why ask multicore supporto if 16% was distributed on all 6 cores of his CPU? PS: AMD 1090t don't support SMT it has 6 cores able to manage no more than 6 thread simultaneously.
  21. Obviously it is. I even wrote "I think" to highlight that. I thought this topic has been opened to share our opinions, so I gave mine. What I wrote is right for me, but cannot be the same for other people. So, in my personal experience, preliminary image make me buy more lego, not less!
  22. I think it is a false issue. Preliminary Images can create hype, and than desire to own the set. But, let's imagine that a set could appear wrongly awful in preliminary images... what happens? It could happen that the buyer decide to reserve its money to other sets, but, after the set is officially released, it could decide to buy that set too... so buying one more set than expected. In conclusion, even in this situation, preliminary images could be an advantage for LEGO sales. So, honestly I can't see motivations to hide preliminary images other than avoid copying from competitors, but also I think that competitors are not surely worried by the deletion of preliminary images: they surely have other means to know about that.
  23. But that's not my situation, surely. I already know released sets so I already have money aside for that. But, if I know about future sets, I can renounce to other "not lego" outgoings in order to be sure to have the money to buy that.
  24. I need time to gather money to buy new sets, so preliminary pictures are very useful for me: if I see something I want, I can be ready (with money) when it will be released. Otherwise I could loose the opportunity to buy it addressing my monetary resource towards something other.
