  1. Eheh it is not bad, instead! About lxf file, you can use attachment function of the forum, or create a brickshelf account that allows to use deeplinks. Or any other file hosting that allows deeplinks! To link an image as text, simply create a standard link (with the specific key or manually with the tag [ URL=url_of_the_image]descriptive_text[ /URL] (without the spaces I inserted to avoid the tag is execute)) and using the direct url of the image. In this way you can insert a little bigger images where the details of the built are more clear.
  2. Hi again. If you have not other images, you can make one using LDD screenshot function. Then you have to reduce the size of the image to a maximum of 512x512 pixel. Image is necessary for the set to be indexed. Read the topic's rules in the first post of this topic to see haw to do a regular post. About hosting image and lxf file, I recommend you to create a brickshelf account.
  3. You can zip the file and than use the attachment function of the forum, or create a brickshelf account to share both the image and the lxf file, or use another file hosting with direct link!
  4. @Toa_Of_Justice Oh, that's a good question. I think that a single image is adequate, but you can post an extra image if necessary. Other images can be inserted as text links. Another important thing: participants have to provide lxf files! Rules updated.

  6. Sometimes we have a LEGO set that don't likes us anymore, so we decide to use the same bricks to create something that pleases us more. That's today's contest: use the bricks of a small LEGO set and built something amazing (or try to do that, at least... ). For this contest I chose a little promotional set, the 7270, that seems to me perfect for this challenge: it is small, its bricks are not too easy to use, and it is ugly enough to encourage us to create something else! Rules: - Post your entry in this topic. - You creation can be of anything - your imagination is the limit. - Use (somehow) all bricks in the original set to make your creation. - Give a title or a name to describe you creation. - Insert a picture of your creation. Extra picture can be inserted as text link. Avoid gargantuan images, the set is very small! - Insert a link to the lxf file too. - If a creation is very very similar to another, only the first posted will be accepted. - Only one creation per user. - Participants should have 10 posts at least, and have to joined to EuroBricks before july 20th. - The contest will stay opened for 1 week (until sunday july 31st at midnight, Greenwich). At the end of the contest there will be three top builders: - One decided by public vote - One as a raffle - One picked by staff (Jury: Calabar, LuxorV, Rufus, Superkalle) For the winner... the glory, and perhaps a small thing. Here is a ready lxf file with all the bricks you have to use. Good luck and have fun! Final Results here!
  7. It is not a bug. The standard positioning on the virtual baseplate work this way. Obviously there are various methods you can use to achieve a finer positioning, for example using a scaffolding.
  8. Usually Modular Buildings uses common pieces, so that these sets don't need to be updated to LDD4, LDD3 versions are complete already. Your problem could came from the size of the sets. Modulare buildings are often very big sets with many pieces. So your LDD could have difficulties to open that. One solution could be to disable advanced graphics: perhaps your pc is not able to manage such a big model.
  9. Oh, I misunderstood. Peeron is very slow to update bricks and sets, so it is possible the brick has not been added still. Or, perhaps, it is a number issue: lego numbers and peeron ones not always match. Probably the first, using peerons search I can't see a "panel 2 x 2 corner" while the piece is on catalog in Bricklink.
  10. Can't find this brick code on peroon too. Are you sure it is the right one?
  11. Agree with that. Besides the side glass wall was TrBlue too, so that the result would be more homogeneous. It could be that the similarity with TrYellow in LDD could have deceived the builder, so that he didn't realize the real difference between these two colours and looking at the 3D model he decided the result was good (as it appear, indeed). As the transparent yellow is a bit rare colour, probably it is impossible to replace the domes with some kind of custom solution. Otherwise, a custom replacement could be a good solution too.
  12. Welcome and thanks for your contributions. There are two little things you should fix in your post: - don't use forum's attachment function to share the lxf file and the image: there are hosting services suck as brickshelf that are much more suitable. - the image is oversized: the maximum limit is 512x512 pixel, but for a such small set is recommended a smaller image (256x256 should be a good size). EDIT: this time I replaced the image, because it is your first post!
  13. I've some ideas about, but nothing is definitive. Probably it will be something really different from the present RCB. I thought I would be the first to direct this kind of RCB, as an experiment. If the result will be good, perhaps something other could be pleased to direct something similar.
  14. Oh, I think that's the beauty of the RCB instead: one participant start a thing, and another forge it in another form, like a sort of brainstorming! One day I'd like to direct an RCB making this concept extreme! With that pieces you would have been able to finish my garage!
  15. If you look at photos in post #37, you can see a perfect white flag after the treatment. So it seems printed pieces don't suffer the peroxide too much. I advise you to test with a expendable piece in order to see the effects with your eyes, anyway.
  16. In my experiences, it is probably the best customer service I ever deal with. I noted that in this case they often don't answer but send the pieces anyway. If your pieces are not arrived, contact them again: probably the letter they send has been lost by the post system. Two notes about that: - it is impossible that many pieces are missing from a set, because every set is carefully weighted. My experience in this situation was a wrong tire in a small set: the tire i received and the right one was almost identical in weight, so the error was possible. - often the piece arrives many time later, even more than a month. So if it is not arrived still, be patient.
  17. As I consider this feature one of the most desirable in LDD, I tried some time ago to add sets to the available set list, but unfortunately it seems more difficult than I thought, so I renounced. It seems there is a sort of protection mechanism that avoid LDD to see the files you add, or even to see one of the file already present if modified. Probably it is necessary to modify some internal file, perhaps it is impossible because hardcoded. For the next versions of LDD I'd like a feature that allow to easily import lists related to a set, in order to help to construct it with available bricks only.
  18. According to peeron the string is x77 (that means that is is not an official lego number) and is 96L long. The only suitable string in LDD seems to be the 58558. It is 38L long. As Brickdoctor said, the piece is not flexible and don't connect to anything (but you can try to simulate the connection).
  19. In any case, it is a good habit in a forum to inform the staff before publicize a product. It is an act of courtesy and avoid that the post is considered spam. However, at a first look, it seems to be a good software. If I can suggest some idea, here is someone: - Retrieve ldr files from lugnet in order to make easy for cad users to import the pieces they need (usable with mlcad, sr3dbuilder, etc...) - Being a commercial software, it has to offer some exclusive feature and something more than services such as Brickset, that are free, accessible from any machine and any system with a web browser. - Make the software "portable", so that user can bring their database with themselves and use it in every machine, even offline. - A good addition would be ensure the software is compatible with wine for linux/macOS (obviously a native version should be better, but it requires much more efforts). This can widen the target market of the product, and last but not least, making the software usable without compromises (some people could think: "why use this software if I can't use it on all my machines or in the computer of my girlfriend? "). - Make a full-usable free version. What I mean is that a version with an incomplete database is useful for evaluation only, but not for use. A version with the complete database but without some cool feature would be much more useful instead. The goal is to attract a wide community of free users, that could help with the development of the software (sending you entries for new set released bu TLG, make translations in many languages, creating skins, making simple script with useful functionalities (addons), etc...) and that's all... for the moment!
  20. Index updated with informations reported until here.
  21. Index updated. 3 new Theme added 204 Sets has been added to the index (35 alternative, 14 duplicate, 3 incomplete). Check your sets and report errors or inaccuracies in the index, if any! List of Irregular Sets: (Too big Image) - 21008 - Burj Khalifa by Gear_tooth Lists of previously reported irregular posts here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here. Thanks again to AndyC that made the great part of the work!
  22. Hi! It seems a lot of work! Could you explain exactly what lxf files concerns? Associate some image with lxf files could be useful too.
  23. I think this feature can be useful for experienced users, because the chance to link a file "on the fly" can be very comfortable in certain situations. The risk is that some unexperienced users try to use it in situations where an external file hosting service would be better. For example an user that starts to post in the official set topic in this way, could realize after some set that the space is not adequate to host many files. So he should transfer all files on a file hosting service, and we should check that old posts are correctly modified and the file accessible still. About saving space, it is not a true issue: lxf file are zip file already. PS: it would be useful a function in the forum that create a brickshelf account associated to the user account and allow to attach there files in the composing window. I saw something like this in other forum for services such as imageshack.
  24. I like your model! Very good. Do you think to share the lxf file? (in this topic various users share their LDD MOC). Eheh no apologies needed, I didn't told that before!
  25. Welcome from me too and great work. A question: is it difficult to use pov-ray to create such good renders for an inexperienced user?
