  1. You're right! I tested that with real bricks.
  2. I thought something like: red: pilots yellow: logistics blue: scientists white: scouts/explorers black: security?
  3. Does anybody knows about a relationship between the colour of the space suite (red, yellow, blue, white...) and the role of the minifigs in the classic space "world"?
  4. Great! My favourite Space Set too, I bought it some time ago! It is classic space (according to peeron classification), as we can see looking at minifigures' Helmet.
  5. Thanks Catsy for your availability to share. As lxf is a zip format, it is possible to manually add a text file with credits. Probably no one will see it... but it will be there! I tested it just now and it seems that the txt file remains even if I modified the file and save it. Another solution could be simply to distribute the file in a zip containing the credit file. Or both!
  6. Good Work! I like the modify. Do you think to share the lxf?
  7. I used textbox, the decimal values seems to be accepted, but LDD moved the model as if it would round the value to the next integer (the value showed in the textbox remain the same I inserted however).
  8. I tried to "fix" the two main issues of the model. About the tires, even though there is a connection error with the rims (no connection detected by LDD), it is possible to place that in the correct position. So there is no connection still, but the tires appears well placed. About the windscreen, there are two problems with the technic Axles: Axles are too long and elements are disaligned. So I used shorter axles (Technic Axle 3) and realigned the elements. Alignment is not perfect (LDD seems to proceed with 1 degree steps), but it is enough good to allow me to place the axles correctly. Now the model is not perfect, but it looks better, I think! Here is the lxf file. EDIT: looking at an image of the set, the rims seems to be different from those used. Bricklink's Inventory seems to be wrong, than. The right brick seems to be the 56908, that I can't see in LDD.
  9. Two things: - The image exceed the maximum size allowed (512x512, or much less for a such small set!) - The set 8683 should include all 16 minifigures, not only one. Could you complete the series?
  10. The problem is not the file, but the way you use to host it. I saw you attach the lxf file using forum's function, but remember in this way you used about 3/4 of you storage space available, so you will be not able to do it again, because the lack of available space. About images hosted by imageshack, there isn't any problem with the forum: I used imageshack many time. How did you include the images? You simply have to encase the direct link of the image with the "img" tags. [ img ] image_direct_link [ /img ] (without spaces) Eheh, but in 1989, lego minifigs was almost identical anyway! However, you could use different decals among those available. As we know LDD has not all parts and decorations, we could consider "how LEGO would have done this set if only these parts would been available?". It's a choice of your own, however. PS: note that the image should be a preview that allow other user to easily identify the set. As the Barracuda is a big set, you should use a bigger image (in this case, the maximum size allowed of 512 pixel is adequate). This time I modified the post for you. ;)
  11. If you want the receiver will be able to see a 3D model he can manipulate, you have to: - create the model using LDD software, then save it in an lxf file. - send to the recipient the lxf file (usually a small file) - the software Lego Digital Designer have to be installed on the computer where the receiver want to see the model. Obviously the computer have to be enough powerful to manage the model. If you want simply to show how the model appears once assembled, you have to: - create the model using LDD software. - take one or more screenshot of the model (ToolBox -> Take a Screenshot or CTRL+k) - send the screenshot(s) to the recipient. Note that usually these are bigger files than lxf ones. - The recipient will see the model as he usually see images on his/her computer.
  12. You have to find a file hosting service to host your image and your lxf files. Forum's attachment service is very limited and inadequate for this goal. Almost all here uses a brickshelf account, that allow to host both images and lxf files and use deeplink. Other alternatives are: a private web space, a generic file hosting (such as fileden, mediafire, adrive, ...), an image hosting for images (such as imageshack) and another solution for the lxf files, ... If you didn't that already, read the first page to see the topic's rules and look at other recent posts as reference. PS: if you don't include all minifigs, the set will be indexed as incomplete.
  13. Now that old hinges has been added, I'd like to have this 2507 "Windscreen 10x4x2&1/3 Canopy". And I'd like to have this 4737 "Space Window 4x4x6 Outward Sloping Corner" again (It was present in LDD3 and removed in LDD4).
  14. The tile is arrived to me too! With the great efficiency of the post service here, I thought I would get it the next month! Thanks! ;)
  15. Great! ... we have the old hinges now! I hope that means I can find the space police Windscreen 2507!
  16. Same for me, but I hope for Classic Space (or "Futuron"/"Space Police I" style). Besides I'd like a smaller number of pieces for each builder, so that a single thing would be created by many users.
  17. Ehehe the wonders of the automatic translation! The English message should be: "ActiveX component can't create object".
  18. That's exactly what I mean with "disaligned" in my post #14! You image is surely more explicative.
  19. There was some kind of error in your file, probably you have placed or moved piaces using arbitrary angles or linear distances. So, I did it from the scratch in few minutes, and without the use of any scaffolding. Here is the result.
  20. It seems the two "arms" are disaligned, I think you can easily solve your problem cloning one of that on the other side.
  21. Oh great I love this model! Thanks for the link to the instructions! :)
  22. It means that LDD is not able to place a brick without a connection, so if you want to place it where you cannot connect it (for example place a brick over a tile), you have to create a scaffolding where to connect the brick. After that you remove the scaffolding leaving the brick in the position where you placed it (even suspended in the air, if you want). In this topic you can find different type of scaffoldings created to solve a similar problem.
  23. Oh, I saw many images, but I need a link that shows me that the set has been officially released! I read the set should be released in May, so we can wait a bit before deleting it! Remember that every set here have to be built using official instructions!
  24. Hi, are you sure the set has been released already? On LEGO website, I can't see any track of it! Can you provide a link for reference?
  25. Oh, that's true! I had no problem inserting it in the model, but reopening it the tile vanish. LDD should decide if it is illegal or not! However, here is a screenshot!
