  1. @bbqqq I noticed you used an Anaglyph 3D image as a preview for your last sets. As the great part of users has not the chance to see the image in 3D, I'd like you replace these images with standard screenshot. You can insert the 3d images as extra, but only as text link. Besides, for set 10143 (Death Star II), you should use a screenshot where the build is not "cut", but showed entirely. Thanks ;)
  2. I asked something similar in my list on post #2. But I was happy just to be able to have some "extra" rotation angle!
  3. A pair of other notes: - shields should be coloured according to the colour of the plastic, not the colour of the printing. This is valid for all other bricks. - try to replace missing pieces with custom solutions. So we will not see the top of the mast suspended in the air, for example! - if you can't find a proper decoration for a minifig face, you can use the classic face ( ) as replacement.
  4. I usually hide all the scene except those bricks I need to connect the imported model (often a baseplate and few bricks), and, if necessary, I hide part of the imported model too. So the scene became much more light to manage and I've not difficulties to connect it.
  5. @Wayno Any news about tests with 30% Hydrogen peroxide?
  6. Five minutes are too much for a wretched P4 too! Try to clear LDD cache related to recent models, and if this don't help, there something wrong in your system (few free space on hard drive, partition that need a fragmentation, windows registry in terrible conditions, something wrong with some driver... could you try with a new windows installation?) Try a memtest and a scan of your hard drive with mhdd.
  7. I remember the file format changes in LDD 2, so probably as Superkallle told, there is not compatibility.
  8. CTRL + 1 It is already possible, but TLG doesn't publicly reveal the setting. They want the users see home screen.
  9. It runs much faster than on my pc! What about hardware tablet's specifications?
  10. What a wanted to say is that the increase of available bricks in DBM mode is not a software related issue, but a "physical bricks" problem. So I think it is not a request pertinent to this topic. Oh, I ever use Extended Mode (Universe Mode is "obsolete" now), so I didn't noticed the problem. I think this limitation is a choice, not a deficiency. In Extended Mode you can colour every brick with every available colour. In DMB that's not possible, and you have to manage this checking all bricks. Anyway, you can easily move to Extended Mode, use the bucket with a selection of bricks, than return to DMB mode.
  11. 1) The colours available for purchase depend on the availability of physical bricks. This means that it is not so easy to increase the number of pieces available for purchase. 2) It is already possible tu recolour a group of selected bricks: select the colour, make the selection, click on the bucket.
  12. Could be I already requested a similar feature in my long wishlist post #2?
  13. Little update for my list in post #2.
  14. This post was born to request sets for the official set thread, and the set 10223 ( ) can't be inserted there because it is not be released yet (and probably, because official built instructions are not available). Now that this point has been specified, if someone want to try...
  15. It tooks many time, but at the end it has been completed! Thanks to Brickdoctor, Aanchir, Superkalle and all the users here that have made this work possible. As a bonus model, this is the garage as I thought it. It is a bit different from the RCB one, I hope you like it anyway!
  16. Very fun! I hope that means that the step to implement animations in LDD would be not so difficult! @Bricksandparts A little note: the forum rules assert that images can't be bigger than 800x600 pixel. Could you resize that?
  17. Good work, I like houses with furniture! I edited the post because the images, according to the forum rules, are oversized. Another thing: if you want that your creation stay in this section, you have to share the lxf file. Otherwise it will be moved in the city section.
  18. eh, as I said it was a creator set then! Anyway, I'd prefer to see this topic in the LDD section, with the lxf file shared!
  19. This should be the right section, but you have to share the lxf file. If you don't want to share it, the right section becomes the... mmm... the creator theme section, probably! Another thing. The rules of the forum allows images not bigger than 800x600 pixels. You should resize your images or use thumbnails.
  20. Good work. We should consider a "Eurobricks MOC LDR Index" to gather all LDR and compatible file MOC. You could insert in the first post an image to provide an immediate preview and a direct link to the ldr file.
  21. Hi cpt. fist. Welcome to this topic and to Eurobrick. You can introduce yourself in the specific section. Your post is almost regular, only the preview image (512x512 pixel maximum) is missing. You can read all the rules of this topic in the first post.
  22. I was a bit undecided about that, but at the end I thought a separate topic is the right choice because it gives a better visibility to those that are the main things a user could look for.
  23. I think one thread for each software is a good solution, but only if we don't need to pin them all. One for LDD, one for sr3dbuilder, one for mlcad, ecc... I think that the pinned topics could be: - LDD index thread, revisited, with a panorama of all LDD section and the main rules. It includes links to topics such as "Extended Mode activation" or "colour palette guide", etc... - Technical issue topic, for all problems related to crash, installations issues, ecc... The topic has a summary with the more common issues and relative solutions. - Question topic: if you have a simple question, ask here. The topic direct to more specific topics. Every topic has a summary of more common questions and relative answers. - Guide topic, a list of all guides (separated topics). - Key Topic list: a way to easily access to all key topics.
  24. @nemo The problem, IMHO, is not related to issues that can be solved with some kind of effort by LDD staff, but to these situations that can't be "solved" but have to be accepted. If you use custom bricks/decorations, you have to provide a way to allow all LDD user to open a model with that custom bricks. Include that in the lxf file could seem a good solution, but this can increase the file size (with decorations overall!). But ok, we decide to include that additions. Imagine a child that find the file and opens it. Then he want to use that pieces for his models, but the piece is not in his database. Ok, let's suppose that the piece is added to the database too. But what happens if the child moves to another computer, or "format" his operating system? He will not have the pieces anymore. For a crafty pc user it is not a problem, but what about unexperienced users? LDD target is not Adult fan. For adults LDD developers unlocked some feature (in the extended mode) that was not born as standard feature of LDD, but they will not upset a software born for another goal to add feature that was not useful to achieve it.
