Could you please describe in details what are you doing? - did you use the script linked in the post #12? - did you have the last stable version of firefox? - did you use greasemonkey to load the script? - did you try the firefox addon (the .xpi file) instead than the script? - did you follow the "instructions" (open a wanted list and then go to the "edit" page)?

The .lxf saves the mode active when you save the file, and recall it when the file is opened. So if LDD was in Standard Mode when the file was saved, then LDD will switch in standard mode when you will open the file.

I think that the LDD approach is the right one considering the target of the software. However an option to temporarily lock the movement in 2 axes could be useful in certain situations, for example it could be obtained holding down a key.

Question: is it me or in Italian S&H the price of this set lifted from fifty to sixty Euro while the set was not buyable yet? Maybe in other European countries too?

@xlib This is one of the limitations! You can, obviously, but it is a lot of work. Anyway nothing prevent you to add a macro-subdivision in group, in order to avoid some of the quirks of the LDD instructions generator. You will not obtain a step-by-step control, but it could help to separate main objects.

Note that it is possible to manage LDD instruction using gruops. The procedure has some limitations but works. In the section index you can find the topic where the procedure is explained. Surely blueprint is more useful. If something don't satisfy you, you can ever try to contact its author through the dedicated topic or in private.

The reported issue was related to the last release of OSX, so it is not strange that you, with Windows 10, have not problems. But if the answer that the user received from the LEGO customer service is true, there is not a bright future for LDD.

Not exactly. Last release of OSX "El Capitan" broke some LDD functionalities, advanced graphics is not available anymore. This is the answer given to an OSX user that he reported in the other topic.

Is the part flexible? Flexible parts are recognizable because they come together the flexible icon in the palette.

@mrbradford Please enclose the SC file code inside the code tags provided by this forum or directly share the file, as bublible suggests. A post so long makes the page unreadable. It seems it is my file, the yellow castle taken from the LDD Official Sets topic! As the file is a bit old (LDD 4.2.5, brickset 604.1), try to simply open it in LDD and save it again.

Hi Dahel, and welcome (again) in the LDD official sets topic. Your post is almost good, you have to fix the image: it is it oversized (maximum size allowed is 512x pixels for very large sets, like your entry) it is not cropped (you have to completely removed borders adound the subject, take a look at other regular images as example) Take a look at this guide, if you should have some difficulty (it is available a "ready pack" for crop and resize). Without minifigures, your entry will be tagged as incomplete. You wrote that thare are no errors/inaccuraccies in the building, but it is very unlikely for such a large set. Are you sure that you used all the correct parts and that all the assembly is made correctly? In general, please carefully read the rules in the first post of this topic. @ds2710 The model has been already built in the Official Sets topic.

Errata corrige: I was able to manually repair the file. The result should be almost complete, maybe some connection has been lost. You can find your lxf on the bottom of my gallery.

The file is corrupted, expecially the lxfml (it is possible to recover the png thumbnail file, but not the xml one). You could try to fix it using a commercial zip repair software (I tried some free solutions without sucess, but maybe a commercial software will help you).

Please share the file so that we can take a look at it.

You are true. What do you think to contribute to the LDD Official Sets topic providing an updated version of the set? I can provide you the original file, you should check it, replace missing parts if available in the newer versions of LDD and post it carefully following the topic's rules. This work could be done for two sets posted by Danver (6386, 6398, because 381 has already duplicates from me and AndyC). Contact me in private if you are interested in that.

It is not exactly the same thing, but you can create a custom template including these "hidden" colours (editing the lxfml file and adding the correct colour code) and apply them using the eyedropper and the paint bucket tools. Take a look at the LDD Reference topic.
