  1. I respectfully disagree. I think everything is possible :) considering Bag end as a one of the most iconic location, i strongly believe, that IF Lego decide to continue producing LotR sets, we get Bag end at some point.
  2. Thats way too small. At least for me, that doesnt do Minas Tirith justice regardless how good design it is.
  3. You're right, but then it's more like Helm's deep set, back in 2012. 2-3 levels and a small tower, sparse interior, probably only a Citadel and ramparts. That is not what I would like to see. But that's just me :) If those sets aspire to be compatible with each other (meaning Rivendell scale), it's impossible to make Minas Tirith at a reasonable price point. It depends on everyone's taste. If TLG decides to go with the 2012-2013 approach, and make some playsets - then ok. I will buy them but then rebuild them in something more substantial. Personally, I feel (and hope) they chose a different approach since this theme deserves large-scale location sets, along with minifig packs and smaller dioramas...
  4. Minas Tirith would be probably microscale, so ton of white and bley bricks with possibly few figs for display. Minifig compatible scale is nonsense, even 1000-1500 USD pricepoint wouldnt be enough. Helms deep is easier for translation into lego bricks as large D2C set, maintaining the Rivendell price. Lothlorien would be nice, but it would be probably enough to make it as a smaller set with Galadriel, Celeborn, Haldir and some members of the Fellowship… Bag End would be also nice as D2C as a closing set which ties all story together ;)
  5. I consider Helms deep more probable than Minas Tirith. I can see them (TLG) nake a decent D2C 18+ Helms deep in 350-400 USD price point with around 20 figs including 1 horse. As for Minas Tirith, its more likely to be either microscale with Gondorian soldier / Citadel guard and Aragorn as a King or as a part of the battlememts - Gate along with part of the wall, Grond and few attackers and defenders. It would be nice to get one big set a year and meanwhile some smaller sets to fill the gaps between them. Overall I consider this theme more adult and collectible like rather than a playset thing. I partially understand and agree with you, but then again, this set seems to be more of a collectible thing aimed for adults and core fans. Those sets back in 2012-2013 was more focused on play aspects. For some resson it was cut down before they cozld complete the story. Maybe this time the whole concept would be better.
  6. There should be Bill the ponny to complete the Fellowship of the ring :)
  7. I cant say whether its considered one element or not, but its definitelly the one bagged batch same as Ninjago weapons or the City tools etc. I am wandering whether it includes the shards of Narail as well or if the Narsil is its own mould. Also how many weaopons are in one batch? My guess is Boromir sward, Aragorn sword, elven sword, dwarwen axe and Sting all twice. Lets jope we get two batches at least in the set ;)
  8. Regarding Ninjago city sets (especially original Ninjago city and most recent Ninjago city gardens) these are by dar the best value sets concerning price per part ratio. The minifigs are “ok(ish)” and the build can be appealing to some fans. But thats pretty much it. I liked the first NC, but the builds are cramped and chaotic even though they might capture the overall vine of sprawling asian city… Diagon Alley is nice facade with somehow realistic appearance. I personally consider the buldings oversized to the minifigs (especially the pink building), but then the price is quite ok, even after Lego rised it up. Rivendell has many small pieces, so the price per part ratio is not a key. I think we are paying for that exclusivity and sheer amount of new elements (moulds, recolours) and also the figs. Most of them have printed lefs/skirts, some of them are dual moulded… I would like to see it at 450 USD price pount max. But then, its LOTR and after this 10yrs gap I have no choice but to pay 500 (gasp). Pitty that there wont be interesting GWP (I would like to have Arwen on horseback with drodo and then 1-2 Nazgûls or something like that… Hopefully this is just a start and more sets will come. 400 USD forthe castle seems somehow right to me. 350 would be beter of course, but then Lego is really expensive toy nowadays and it was also before…
  9. Thats understandable... I am still trying to get what I am looking at and whether its a dream or not :D
  10. Because it is completely different from the broken one :) Look at the pics and observe the differences :)
  11. I missed that. My bad then. Anyway, I strongly feel this is definitely not a one-off set. Maybe the faith of Barad-Dur lies in the sales numbers in upcoming months, but I am sure there will be other sets. so many new moulds specifically developed for LotR. As far as I know TLG, I am strongly convinced that this, is just the beginning :) I hope that Wess Talbott and Mike Psiaki will continue to work on those sets. Wess is passionate about medieval/fantasy/elves themes and Mike, is simply a MIKE. :)
  12. It does right? But then why it is on the anvil (ready to be reforged?) I hope (and believe) that there will be full Narsil/Anduril either here or in a future set(s) :)
  13. I am not convinced. Anyway, I believe that we all wish not only for Barad-Dûr with first ever Sauron minifig in full armour, but also for the regular lineup. This (Rivendell) is where the Journey begins. Mordor (e.g. Barad-Dûr) is the end. I think we need something in the middle ;)
  14. He did today on the press release. Sorry but not sorry ;)
  15. Yep, you can find it on youtube. Its the reveal video :)
  16. Do you think that there will be also new reforged Narsil/Anduril mold as well? :) I thought that its included in front of the blacksmith/armory part but thats not Narsil. Just some new random sword I guess…
  17. Ashwin (grafic designer) hinted that LotR will retur in March next year… obviously he talked about Barad dur since the set is now in development.
  18. This is by far the most beautifull location set ever made in Lego history. No kidding. I am just stunned. Hope that there are only few stickers (if none I would be in heaven). I slowes sown a little bit with buying sets I like on day, therefore I have a quite long list of sets I will get eventually, but this, THIS is definitelly day 1 purchase. I am also curious how big the Minas Tirith or Helms deep would be, once they hit the shelves (because they will) :)
  19. The trees are there. One of them (the taller one) is still visible. Dont panic :)
  20. If it cost 499 USD ergo same as Hogwarts Express, then the Canadian price will be the same… Depends if the leaked image of Rivendell was in the same survey? I think that it wasnt. Therefore it should be more or less the same as we saw on that blurry potato picture 😉🤔
  21. Wait for the official release… you will see the are there :)
  22. It looks exactly like the leak :)
