  1. This building is inspired by set 10263 (Winter Village Fire Station), while the fire truck was inspired by CARS 2 set 9484 (Red's Water Rescue) and Gift With Purchase set 40586. (Moving Truck) As you can see, the building has been heavily modified, with it having removable floors and an bright red color scheme along with a rear half added on. Compared to other modular buildings, the tower roof is just about the same height as the shorter building in the modular Detective Office set. The rear of the building has a couple windows. The lower floor is accessible through the front garage door or by removing the second floor. Speaking of the garage, it fits the vintage fire truck quite nicely. The upper floor roof is removable, to access the enclosed bunk-room and get at the kitchen. Four figures can sleep in the bunk beds. I even have a bathroom in there! Since 2012, when the Cars 2 set 9484 (Red's Water Rescue) was released, I've been trying to build a better front half for that set. Then I saw a MOC over on Rebrickable turning set 40586 (Moving Truck GWP) into a fire truck, as seen here. It hit me I could combine my 6-wide cabin version of the moving truck with the Cars fire truck. What you see above is the result. (I changed the nose quite a bit from the original truck, as something about it just felt off) The truck features four hoses, a roof-mounted ladder and water pump controls. If it weren't for the fireman hats being in the way, you could potentially seat two figures in the cab. As it is, it will seat one and a Dalmatian. (Also, both of the doors open.) As for firemen, I have four of these 1980's guys, with one having a gold helmet for us as a Captain. (picture from Bricklink) Thoughts? NOTE: The original version of the model is shown in spoiler: Finished 2/6/24!
  2. Here we see my MOD of the Brick City Depot (Winter Village) Fire station. I redid the color scheme in some places & added a different Fire Engine. I remodeled the top level (no tower) and put pillars in the corners of the building, plus I added a back wall with inside details. The garage doors open to allow the fire truck to back in. (it does fit, I checked!) The 4 x 4 bonnet right above the doors should feature this print. As you can see, here is the back wall with the chimney flue for the oven and roof top water storage barrel. The inside now features two bunk beds. a oven, table, chairs, reception area and rotary-dial phone. The fireman's pole goes from the upper floor to the bottom level, and stairs allow for you to return to the top. I was inspired to build this by set 9484, Red's Water Rescue. I replaced the eyes with window parts, while adding a grille where the mouth was. I also beefed up the rear, and removed the flick-fire missiles. The sides of the truck should have two of this print under the hoses where the blank 2 x 2 tiles are. The side of the truck features two hoses (one for each side) and the roof has a ladder. (The ladder can rotate 360 degrees and can go up and down.) The doors to get into the crew cab also open and close while the sides feature 4 hose hookups (that's the pearl gold 1x1 round studs) and two identical pump controls. The LDD for both the station and truck can be downloaded here. Comments, Questions & Complaints are welcome, and this model is on the to-be-built short list... maybe by December of this year(?) alongside the town hall. Any thoughts?
  3. This first model is a mash-up of the 2013 Palace Cinema (set number 10232) car and the car from 2002 Escape from Privet Drive. (set number 4728) I added a new cabin roof with bigger windows and made the car in more colors. These variations include: Tan, Red, White, Black, Dark Bluish Gray. Each car has 4 seats and a steering wheel now too, but it still can't seat figures. Here we see the tan version. Rear view. LDD file with all the colors included: http://www.mocpages....1413071878m.lxf This second car model was inspired by the 2008 set 10200, Custom Car Garage. I made the red convertible into a brown coupe. I have updated the model and LDD file because some parts of the old MOC were did not exist in the right colors, so I fixed them. The rear features the tail lights and license plate. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1428415439m.lxf This car is based off the CARS 2 character "Acer" from set 9484, Red's Water Rescue, a 2012 set. It uses a mix of dark bluish gray and lime to give it the peeling paint look. the car is EXTREMELY tiny, being about the same size as the LEGO cars from the 1990's, except this model seats no mini-figures. This car was built in real life first, then recreated in LDD, which is a fairly rare occurrence for me. it is also build able without the dark bluish gray bricks for an all lime green color scheme fresh from the Factory floor. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1412897086m.lxf The inspiration for this next model (and basis for most of it's design) was the 2002 Harry Potter set 4728, Escape from Privet Drive. The car is build-able in five colors: Red, White Yellow, Black, and Medium Blue. Shown here is the medium blue version. The rear view features an opening trunk, which is a much larger version of the one included in set 4728. LDD file for all the colors of this car: http://www.mocpages....1409862897m.lxf This next car is a modified set version of the S.H.I.E.L.D. car from 76004. (Spider Man: Spider Cycle Chase) I took out the hover wheels and removed the flick-fire launcher mechanism. I then grouped the parts I added to the model to make it easier to build. Personally, this car makes me think of a 1980's sports car. The rear of the car features some neat partially covered wheels. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1416423876m.lxf This model is a modified version of the 2014 set 76015, Dock Ock Truck Heist. It was inspired by eurotrash48903 and his own MOD of the set to be 7 wide. I didn't change it quite as much as him, but I did follow his lead in several spot, such as shortening the frame by 2 studs and getting rid of the ridiculously oversized original wheels. The roof and front have been strengthened and a door added to the rear, as their was none before. rear view showcasing the door and rear fender. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1411148366m.lxf Here is a classic 1950's pickup truck: Based on one half of the 2013 Holiday exclusive, this truck features several improvements over the original. It's cab features two seats instead of one, and the paint scheme has been changed to plain black. You can also see the brake lights are located just under the tailgate. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1416927610m.lxf 1969 Volkswagen micro-bus This particular van is currently owned by the Collectible Mini figures (Series 7) Hippie, and his girlfriend. Built and modified from a PDF of the LEGO Rock Band bus, but in red instead of orange. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1416926983m.lxf 1980's Yellow Taxicab I recommend you listen to 1970's singer / songwriter Harry Chapin's songs "TAXI" & "SEQUEL" when building this model. Dual exhaust and fancy tail-lights feature on this model. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1416926658m.lxf (Two of these are need for the roof sign: http://www.bricklink....asp?P=4865pb42 ) 1950's Fire truck I was inspired to build this by CARS set 9484, Red's Water Rescue. I replaced the eyes with trans-black tiles and cheese slopes, while adding a grille where the mouth was. I also beefed up the rear, and removed the flick-fire missiles. The side of the truck features two hoses (one for each side) and the roof has a ladder. The sides also feature 4 hose hookups (that's the pearl gold 1x1 round studs) and two identical pump controls. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1416965118m.lxf Modern Double deck bus (yellow) Inspired by the design of the red bus in set 60026 (Town Square) and the yellow bus in set 7641 (City Corner), this double deck bus can seat 14 mini-figures, including the driver. It features a modular design, and has two doors: one at the front for entering, and one at the rear for exiting. (My brother Austin inspired this mod by giving me the idea for the double deck bus in yellow. He made one in red which he has not uploaded yet. Link to his mocpage: http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/94191 ) The modular design makes figure placement a lot easier. Oh, and by the way: The yellow 1x2 tile at the front under the engine grille is supposed to be printed like this piece: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=3069bpb162 LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1417396825m.lxf 1960's Moving truck This model was originally set number 4000008, otherwise known as LEGO Inside Tour (LIT) Exclusive 2013 Edition – Villy Thomsen Truck. (link: http://www.bricklink...asp?S=4000008-1 ) I repainted it a more common-place black & gray instead of red, yellow, blue & light gray. It now features a enclosed cab, and better-looking side mirrors. The top of the cargo compartment comes off allowing for access to the interior. The rear features a trailer hookup although no trailer is included in the LDD file. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1418836166m.lxf 1950's left-hand drive Double Deck bus (black & red) This was originally Scotnick's 7-studs-wide Bridgemaster Bus. I painted it in black and red for Brick Railway Systems and made into left hand drive for use in America. The bus also sports an enlarged upper deck, and a revised front windscreen. The red stripes on the upper deck are destination boards. This model is 100% build-able. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1418417217m.lxf 1950's American Sedan I was inspired to build this model after seeing the dark red half-track / truck in this set: http://brickset.com/...overcraft-Chase The model looked easy to duplicate, but it proved difficult to create an exact copy. I then decided to take it in a another direction and create a regular American 1950's car, complete with tail fins and two rows of seating. The model features two rows of seating and opening doors, (a rarity on my models!) tail fins, and "double" tail lights. (I used a trans-red grille to create a nice effect.) The jumper plate on the rear bumper is supposed to represent a tailpipe and the white 1x2 tile is a license plate. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1418836486m.lxf 1970's Volkswagen Beetle Built from these old instructions by Whoward 69. (link: https://www.flickr.c...57624191463040/ ) I converted this 5 wide car to a hardtop and replaced the wide original wheels with a more Beetle-like solid disc. I also changed the color to yellow instead of green and added a license plate at the back. The car seats 1 mini figure. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1417396431m.lxf 1960's Tow Truck I have modified Tom Netherton's 1969 Chevy C10 Tow truck to suit my tastes. I modified the rear view mirrors, added a different style hook assembly, and removed the doors. (Here is the original model by Tom: https://www.flickr.c...57645284487353/ ) The rear of the truck features a new hook / crane arm. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1420396040m.lxf 1950's left-hand drive double deck bus This is Scotnick's Bridgemaster (UK) bus painted reddish brown and heavily modified to have left hand drive. The model is 7 wide, 24 studs long, and 12 2/3 bricks tall. It even features a handrail at the rear entrance. As an interesting side note, there are 27 1x2x2 trans-clear panels on the bus, along with two brick-built rear windows and the front windscreen. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1420233991m.lxf 4-wide police car Inspired by set World City set 7030, (Squad Car, link: http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7030-1 ) this car is a modern update to that 12 year old set. (man am I old!) This model features an extended frame and new wheels, courtesy of the CARS theme. I built this model for my Brother, Austin, for use on his town. The interior can seat one figure and features a steering wheel. The rear bumper also features a licence plate. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1422742404m.lxf Anglia 105E - Black This car type is famous for being used in the movie "Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets". In real life, this car type was built from 1959 - 1968. The engine was a straight in-line four cylinder, and the body came in 2 door saloon, 3 door estate & 2 door panel van. I built the LEGO version in LEGO Digital Designer and real life. The rear of the car features a non-opening trunk made to look like the original set 4728 model. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1425155138m.lxf 1950's delivery truck This model was partially inspired by set 10222, Winter Village Post Office. I took the original model and enclosed the rear storage space and added a new front bumper / engine area. The model seats 1 mini-figure and has doors in the rear for storage. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1428181942m.lxf US Postal van This mail van was inspired by Dacta - Town set number 9333 (link: http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=9333-1 ) The set features a bunch of vehicles, one of which is a red mail van, which I stretched out, changed the colors, and added letters to the side. (these are supposed to be signs, not actual letters) This model was also partially inspired by the United States Postal service vans I have in my area. The rear features two tail lights and a license plate. The rear doors do open and there is space to hold stuff in there. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1423179965m.lxf Bob's 1970's Nexus force - themed car Since the last time I showed off this car, I relocated the rear-view mirrors, raised the front by a plate, and added this piece to the rear: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=15068pb004 Here is the rear of the car. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1430493388m.lxf Benny's 1950's Classic Space - themed car I was inspired to build this model after seeing the dark red half-track / truck in set 60071, Hovercraft Arrest. The model looked easy to duplicate, but it proved difficult to create an exact copy. I then decided to take it in a another direction and create a generic American 1950's car, which eventually got turned into this version of Benny's Classic Space themed automobile. The model features a row of space-ship styled seats and "double" tail lights. (I used a trans-red grille to create a nice effect.) the white tile above the rear bumper is supposed to be Benny's license plate. This part goes on the sloped rear of the car: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=30363pb021 LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1434990478m.lxf 1930's streamlined car This model was inspired by the recent announcement of the Super Man "Action Comics Number 1" exclusive 2015 LEGO set. I eyeballed the model and faithfully recreated it, but it was severely lacking in several areas so I enhanced it by extending the frame about two studs, and added bigger wheels. I then redid the bumper and passenger cabin, which required a new 4 x 8 roof, which is longer than the original 4 x 6 piece. The rear features two tail-lights and a license plate. It can also seat one mini-figure in the drivers seat. NOTE: The rear of the model actually features a 2 x 2 trans clear slope instead of the two 1 x 2 slopes seen here. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1435074997m.lxf Comments, Questions, & complaints welcome!
