  1. @ Cavego & Smack : thak you very much. That was what I was aiming at. @ Smack : yes, the scale is quite correct compared to the Minifig Boba. :) Otherwise, I never sell my work (it's a matter of principle). But IMO, it is quite easy to reproduce it with the photos I did, or even the photo I will do. The system with U-joint is smart, maybe, but is not very complicated. The only thing I want, as always, it the credit (it's a matter of respect). @ Cavegod : yeah, the brown slope are not enough angled. But with the parts that TLG produced till today, I thing it is the best I can do. I definitely refuse to make it with plate or anything else. That would be too ugly. One more thing : yes, I thing I will do the wings tan. That will be more realistic. fallenangel327, thank you for the idea. :)
  2. Thank you for your comments ! @ fallenangel327 : Sorry, for the angles, I can't do better. Fot the color of the wings, I will see what I can do. :)
  3. To respect TLG's colors scheme (purist powaaaa : http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=44163&view=findpost&p=775279)
  4. No. It is trong. It is attached with many studs (brick 1x4 and brick 1x1 with stud(s) on side).
  5. No offense to Amun-Ra ( ), but IMO, something like that don't look so good : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2009515
  6. No. But IMO, it looks quite good so, doesn't it ? It is smooth and there are also greebs. I don't see what I could change.
  7. EDIT : Professional building instruction available here : /EDIT Hi ! Here is my latest MOC : the UCS Slave 1 of Boba Fett. It has about 1050 parts. A micro ISD

Very nice model ! You captured the shape very well ! Thought, it is a little too big for my Executor.

    A micro ISD

Yes, it is not very strong. But the main problem was that I didn't even manage to join the 4 wings perfectly. So, I concluded that I had to build my ISD in another way. Well. Now, back to the Executor. It will be more interesting.

Yes. That is exactly my goal when I build a MOC.

    A micro ISD

Everybody can have his own definition. As far I'm concerned : - no modified parts - no glue - no illegal builds - no old colors such as light gray or dark gray (sometime I make exception, but it is very rare) - no old parts such as hinge 4275 or 4276 (these parts are not used anymore in today's sets)

    A micro ISD

So. I worked several hours on my micro ISD, and I reached this conclusion : it is impossible to build it with 4 wings without using illegal builds. Or maybe it is possible, but I'm not skilled enough. So, I built it in a very simple way. Sure, my mini ISD is not impressive. O_o But IMO, the shape is quite good. And of course, there is no illegal builds. :) It also has the right scale compared to my executor. At the moment, there are many odd colors. In the future, it will be LBG only.

    A micro ISD

As I'm a purist, I don't like to use illegal builds (I don't have use it yet in any MOC). I will try to find a way to build it only with legal builds.
  14. Hi ! I would like to build a micro ISD. For the wings : - it must have studs outside. - the hypotenuse of the wing may be in the middle or on the side. It makes no difference to me. Here is Hidaka's ISD : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=63846 It is quite similar to what I would like to do. The main (and probable the only) problem I experience it to join the 4 wings. :/ How do you think Hidaka managed to do this ? Did he use rubbers ? Thanks for your help !
  15. Do you have more pics of your B-Wing ? Besides, could you do a review of the AAT please ? (if it is strong enough, etc) I've always been interested in this AAT, but it's been a while I'm wondering if it is worth or not to reproduce it.
  16. The review show the model very well. But I totaly disagree with Rufus. IMO, this is a very very poor set. The home is very very ugly. As it is too blocky and white, it is sad. Design : 4 The build is even more poor. Only block bricks. No SNOT etc. In short, nothing impressive. Building : 3 There are many small interesting parts. IMO, all the white bricks are not very interesting. Inventory : 6 The minifigs are ok. Minifigs : 7 I think the playability is quite good. Same for the price. Playability and Price : 8 The model is IMO not attractive. TLG already has released homes which are much better than this one. Overall : 5. PS : the overall mark as an average of the previous criterions doesn't make sens. IMO, the overall mark must be used by the reviewer to valuate his final feeling on the model.
  17. Han ! I can see my pod ! Thank you for having built it, Cavegod ! Do you have another pic of the Jedi Starfighter, on the left of the first photo ?
  18. That's exactly what Tony did for several Model Team. TLG really should release the file for people to reproduce all the stickers they want. That wouldn't cost anything to TLG.
  19. Niiiiiiiiiiice !! In a couple of weeks, I should present my own Slave which is very similar to this one. Actuallly, there is not much different ways to build a slave 1.
  20. Yes, but they did big mistakes... edit : I've been talking with a friend. He downloaded the files and he got all the instructions complete. He sent them to me. I don't understand why my files were not complete. O_o
  21. Polo's version is strong, but not enough to be hold with 2 hand below the model. On the model I reproduced, I can hold it from below. Because the tail I did is not removable (it is damn strong @_@) and my lower edge (sorry it is not the right word) is better attached to the frame. PS : Im' working again on my Executor.
  22. As I have the set, I can say that the model REALLY NEED a clutch. It is like 8264. It sounds horrible. And it is even worse. Because the set has a 24t. The ampliroll mode is nice, but the model is eventually not very complex. The steering is exactly the same as 8292 (turning radius : 35cm). It works well. Now, I'm waiting for 8053...
  23. Today, studful is better in few cas : - very big models (at least 10,000 parts) which need to be very very strong - for the model to have studs, such as 8275. It is nice to see some studs. :) - for some elements on studless models that need to be strong, such as the arm of the 8421 mobile crane. Technicaly, studless is definitely superior to studful, by far. For example, with studful, it would have been impossible to make 8052 mechanism, or 8294 arm, etc. Or if it is possible, it require a much bigger model. IMO, best models are studless models because they are more complexe. These models are even better if they have some studful parts (8421, 8275 ; it would have been great if 8043 had studs).
  24. Yes. Here is inventory for 8052 : Black panel : quantity = 2
  25. I contacted Dailymotion to ask them to delete the video. And I'm very surprised as they did an excellent work !! In less than 24h, they solved the problem ! I'm impressed. O_o So, all is well that ends well. :)
