  1. Are there any issues with the panels above the front wheels rubbing them? They look like they are very close to hitting the tires.
  2. Oh, ok. They looked like they were just floating on the single pin in the front. Would it be more beneficial structurally to use say a 4L axle with stop going through the the rear hole rather than just catching that 1/2 a stud on the end of the axle?
  3. Quick question, what is holding and supporting the rear wheel arches?
  4. Looks pretty much how I expected. The addition of a gearbox is a nice touch and a first for official Lego motorcycles.
  5. This is no doubt one of the most beautiful eye pleasing technic car mocs built by an AFOL ever, and It packs in all of the features that one would come to expect. A few things that I am not excited over are the front wheels arches looking a bit wonky, especially from the side view. They have a nice round look in the rear due to the arch piece being used. but in the front, they just look misshaped, especially in the front of the front wheels. There are a number of connections that look kind of fragile and pieces look like they will constantly need repositioning. And as Jeroen mentioned, I am not real keen on the method used for the headlights. But overall, congrats and the current hottest car moc. It looks gorgeous.
  6. This is one of those models that looks great from some angles and poor from others.
  7. I like the idea for the gearbox concept. It has a lot of gears though which may cause some issues. Have you tried building and testing it?
  8. Really nice. Love all of the details. The 8 track player, the usage of chains is brilliant. The wheel arch design is a decent solution, but looks too busy.
  9. I just hope they finally have the suspension issues fixed in this model. My Bugatti's front suspension drags on the ground.
  10. Are we really getting small panels for side mirrors again?
  11. I know James isn't one of those guys that bumps his threads a 100 times, but I am surprised this hasn't received more attention here. This model is fantastic and so original. Well done.
  12. I posted about the 5 tan bevel gears inside the housing in this very thread a week ago. On one side, but the other side looks like it's just a regular axle with a bushing helping hold it in place. So the front wheels do not return to center? They must be manually controlled to return?
  13. What keeps the rear axles from pulling out? Just friction? Probably bushings on them between liftarms.
  14. If I remember correctly, there are 3 clips on the housing that snap into the gear. What I don't know is if the gear can easily be removed or not. I could be wrong, but from the brief bit that I had seen, it didn't appear that this gear had any clutch capabilities like the 20 and 16 tooth gears have. At least one side of it doesn't.
  15. Yeah, the gear connects to the housing. I assume that you can disassemble it if you need to replace a gear if one breaks. Not really sure. There was a tan gear on the bottom then 3 in the middle and one on top and then the big red gear from what I remember. The set is out now, so it shouldn't be long before more about this comes out.
  16. Yes. It looked like it held in the 5 little gears. Do you have a link for that?
  17. I went back on Facebook and tried to find the video but it is gone. I think the red gear snapped on to the housing after all of the little bevel gears were placed into it. Certainly stronger for RC than what we currently have.
  18. Could be. I guess that we'll see when the new UCS car comes out next year.
  19. Could be. But you would think that a auto manufacturer would want things as similar to real life as possible. Anyone that has ever driven a car knows that the lower the gear, the higher the RPM, which is why you need to change gears. If it were me, I would want kids to start off in the right direction.
  20. From the video, it looks like the differential is 7 pieces. The reddish gear is separate from the housing(I think it attaches somehow) and there are what looks to be at least 5 smaller tan bevel gears inside the housing.
  21. Cool in progress B model. Interesting that he has the engine speed going faster with the lower gear in this one, but in the A model it is the opposite.
