Powered Up - A tear down...

Hi, thank you very much, I am completly inside programming of my app right now, so I have forgotten to check the forum. But stillI I am testing out how to connect to more than one device, in MIT app inventor it s much easier to do it, than in Android Studio with Java, but the disadvantage of MIT app inventor, that there aren t so many possibilities for changing the design of the app and there are also several other disadvanteges.

Hi @GianCann, the frimware stuff is very interesting;) But do you know, how to get the version of the firmware that is installed on the HUB through a command? I know you need to read it but first you have to write a command, so it will be showed in the code that you read?

Powered Up - A tear down...

Hi @Lok24, I will try to release this points, but I have some questions too: - Button to turn on LED (on same hub) Do you mean the built in LED of the HUB or connected leds. As I understand you mean that it should control two leds on two HUBS. What do you mean with switch to support 2-5 locos? Do you mean that you are connected to 2-5 HUBs and you control every of them by a switch that changes the HUB that should be controlled.

Hi, ok, thank you for the information. I have seen the doc of the Lego PU system on Github, but I still don t understand, what is the command for changing the name of the HUB and turning it off. With command I mean the HEX code that you have to send to the hub. Example command for setting the speed to maximum on port A: 0800810011510060. It would be very helpful for me to know this for continue programming on my app. LINK to the doc: https://lego.github.io/lego-ble-wireless-protocol-docs/index.html#document-index

Hi, I decided to decompile the PU app and I found some firmware packages. Do you know how to install them manually, I am programming an alternative app for PU and I would like to code an option, where you can update/downgrade the firmware of the PU Hub. 10. Hi Johnny1360, yes it will allow you to control the motor speed. Soon there will be an update, so you plug an IR blaster into your phone s headphone jack and every phone will be compatible through this hack. And in the new update some bugs will be fixed. The IR blaster will be sold in an online shop for about 5$. BTW: What phone does you have? This information would help me to check, if it has an IR blaster. Cheers Piotr Suchodolski
  11. I was trying to transform the Lego PF codes, which are showed in this document, to pronto HEX, it s a kind of IR code format, but I wasn t able to do that. Do you have any idea how to transform this short IR codes, which are shown in that document to pronto hex? Thanks... Pronto HEX code example: 0000 006C 0000 0022 00AD 00AD 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0016 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 0041 0016 06FB Lego code example:0100 0101 0011 1101
  12. Yes, but you need a Game Controller, right? That s the reason, why I made it
  13. Hi,I thought about making an App for controlling Lego Power Functions 1.0(not PU). And now I am done with programming this app, without any programming knowledge. In the next updates I am going to make a PU remote too, so you can combine different Lego Sets and I want to make a Mini Jack IR Blaster Support for smartphones, that hadn t an IR blaster built in. Right now the App is only for devices with built in IR blaster. I know there was an App before for controlling Lego Power Functions, but this app had some features that weren t pretty good. This is also one of the reasons why I made this kind of App. Please open the Play Store Link on your smartphone.Play Store Link for the App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pfremote.sucho.pfremoteYouTube Link for Video:
