  1. Nice model. I think I would build it if you decide to make instructions for it. I would like to see how it looks with stickers applied. I will probably also buy M_longer instructions for the log loader.
  2. That being said, the global google plus link I posted above is still active for the time.
  3. Seems like Madoca1977 has updated all of his mocs to use google photos instead of google plus. Rebrickable links have been updated to reflect the change. Thanks Madoca1977 for sharing those wonderfull mocs. I guess you're missed here by a lot of users.
  4. Amazing design. Sleek, simple, effective and so functional. Should be pinned and maybe included standalone in the HOF. Thanks for showing us the way !
  5. I took a look at those so called buwizz clones from aliexpress and I don't really see how it could be a good deal. With a retail price of 70 € it's not so far from original Buwizz. Furthermore, what you see on their video is quite strange as there is 2 different battery boxes shown : one is 3 studs heights with a 2,4 ghz marking on the side (looks really similar to CaDa), the other seems to be 5 studs height, making it difficult to integrate with a lot of moc. You can't download the app to be sure it's compatible with your smartphone and it's probably not as configurable as buwizz. Needless to say that voltage and capacity is omitted (probably no ludicrous mode). I like Cada battery box for the pretty low price (starting @ 30 € with or without extra parts) and physical control. I know there's some drawbacks like the lack of analog control or precise steering, as well as being limited to 7-8v output power. Battery life is quite decent. But for sure, I will not put more than twice that price for something that looks more like a development board (prototype ?) and a probably buggy app, if you can ever get it. Offtopic. I asked Gearbest seller for the 919 CaDa model and power functions are not included so don't buy that one if you wan't to get battery box and remote. Better go with the yellow buggy.
  6. Yes I saw that model and despite some similarities, I don't think that's the same moc. That one is indeed better yet has no instructions available so reverse engeneering the full moc would not be a trivial task. I also found a moc by Charbel and it's clearly different with a bigger part count.
  7. Hi, i spotted a new model on gearbest, which is a porsche 919 replica featuring 1586 parts (don't know if power functions is included in the count, but at least it seems included in the box). Could someone tell me if it's an original model or a illegally cloned moc, which i could not endorse in any way. Anyway here's some pics to see it as well as a link forward the instructions page from double eagle if someone is kind enough to look at it. http://en.doubleeagle.cc/download_list/downloadcategoryid=10&isMode=false.html Price seems pretty attractive at 60,50 € as of today. I like the custom tires too.
  8. I just want to second what Erik Leppen said as not to start too big. I recently came back from my dark age and decided to buy a set that looks appealing to me (without too much thinking about functionnality) and bought 42077 (rally car). It's a middled size set with roughly 1000 parts. Since technic from my childhood were studfull (8865 supercar and 8854 power crane), I also bought a really small set, 42057 ultralight copter as well as sorting boxes, just to learn a bit about studless building. I can say that I had some great building fun with the two sets, even if you achieve your goal more quickly with a small one. That being said, even a small set can be entertaining. For example, 42057 provide 2 official models but also 2 other one from the original designer (a shark and a hoovercraft). Instructions for those are currently only available from reversed video (disassembling) and are quite challengeous to follow. I since bought a handfull lot of sets (mainly from 2017-2018) 42037 : formula off roader (proved to be fake lego and thus disappointing) 42060 : roadwork crew 42065 : RC tracked racer 42069 : extreme adventure 42070 : 6*6 all terrain truck 42071 : dozer compactor 42072 : whack! 42075 : first responder 42078 : Mack Anthem 42081 : Volvo concept loader Zeux 42082 : RTC 42084 : Hook Loader I mostly already build the smaller sets, due to time constraint that you need to take into account before buying larger sets. The next one on my building list will be 42081, which seems to be quite nice. I think that you have to be carefull for the price when buying also (most of my purchases were made before chrismas and during sales so the whole lot is under 750 €) and keep some model in box before buiilding when you have the time to do it. Keep also in mind that power functions are going to be replaced by power up system and it could be a good idea to refrain yourself from buying set with power function for the time. The choice is yours now.
  9. Hi, I made the RC mod for the B model using instructions from Racing Bricks. I used a CaDa battery box with 2 lego power functions L-motors so mainly used instructions for those motors but also used instruction for buwizz integration. Anyway, I made some minor changes, mainly on the front under the hood and wanted to share those changes with the community. The build only use 42077 parts except for those already pointed out by racing brick. I just used some spare parts from the set. (and two axles for the controller). I also give you a link to the full gallery : https://www.flickr.com/photos/147325348@N07/with/47300889771/ I'm really happy with the free instructions from racing brick. Performance with Cada is quite good except you can't have precise steering (included servo was also really poor as it could'nt return to center from one direction... Anyway my 5 years old son had a great time playing with that build.
  10. Milan grohl Reindl posted a few time ago a nice C model for the Mack : a Mack Granite with snow plow, really different from M_longer's moc (I love both) Video instructions are now available from him also.
  11. User Rain568 has posted a ldd file on rebrickable : https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-21418/Rain568/42078-mobile-crane/#comments It's a rebuild based on photos and videos from Dyen's model so I'm not sure if it matches perfectly the original creation. Actually, it's a rather big moc, so building from ldd may be cumbersome at some point. Hope someone may end up creating real pdf instructions for that one. I know it's a huge task so I'm not begging for BTW.
  12. I find a way to easilly download locally albums from Madoca. I'm pretty sure Madoca will know about google plus shutting down but in any case, here's an how to. Navigate to https://get.google.com/albumarchive/117021167471864977943 click on any album you may want to keep a local copy. click on the 3 dots on the right uper corner of the currently viewed album and select download album. you'll be then offered a link to download a zip with all the photos of the current album. (eg: Monster Truck.zip) If prefered you can use your favorite editing tool to assemble the album in a single pdf. Hope I could help.
  13. You're right. After dismantling the crawler, I can also confirm that some parts breaks quite easily. I broke 9 or 10 black pins with friction, some of them without applying any force to it. I think it's really annoying for people that may be tempted to buy it as a gift for childrens. The battery pack and controller remains really interesting nonetheless, given the price.
  14. Racing Brick is offering a full Rc modification for a pretty fair price of 10 €, given the quality of the building instructions. LEGO® Technic 42069 Extreme Adventure full remote control modification. Features of the mod: 4 tracks are driven by 4 L motors fake engine powered by an M motor roof elevation powered by an M motor winch is completely reworked with worm gear, powered by an M motor front axle steering with Servo motor, tank-style steering is also available 4 Power Functions lights Controlled/powered by 2 BuWizz units, alternatively 2 SBricks and 2 AAA battery boxes can be also used I'm planning to build it with 2 cada battery box to lower the price a bit. I have most of the needed parts but still missing some power functions extension cables. You can check some free instructions for other model (like 42077) to get an idea of what you'll pay for. https://racingbrick.com/lego-technic-42069-extreme-adventure-rc-mod/
  15. You will find the black shocks on page 3 of that thread https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/167699-cada-battery-with-4-motor-outputs-and-remote-control/&page=3 so it's not a lego part.
  16. You made me buy the set, which was on sale in a store near by me (I payed less than 16 € for both 42060 and 75877 lego speed champion mercedes amg gt3). I will try to build your model by looking at the photos. Thanks.
  17. I took the time to browse through some of the Cada sets released by Double Eagle and there's a lot of sets that don't really appeal to me. Lots of older sets for example included a prebuild frame with a fixedwheelbase and axle width, making most of those sets look similar and better for kids. I think some of noticeables sets are : - C51041 (crawler) - C51043 (buggy) : probably better than crawler - C51057 (excavator) : should be easy to make a full rc mod - C51058 (buildozer) : should be easy to make a full rc mod - C61001 (Abrams tank) : that one uses lego style PF (but with 2,4 ghz technology), it looks great but is way too much expensive. Buildozer and Excavator are interesting : driving is remote controlled but other functions are manual but seems pretty playable for kids, with a well thought use of shock absorber for the two models. I find those too expensive nonetheless. https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/Compatible-Legoings-RC-Blocs-De-Construction-Briques-T-l-commande-Construction-Camion-Pelle-Sur-Chenilles-Mod/32914861802.html?spm=a2g0w.search0104.3.17.50154f754OWPit&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0%2Csearchweb201602_2_10065_10068_319_10892_317_10696_453_10084_454_10083_10618_10304_10307_10820_10821_538_537_10302_536_5730115_10843_10059_10884_10887_100031_321_322_10103_5729115%2Csearchweb201603_51%2CppcSwitch_0&algo_pvid=a78a56dd-95d7-4f02-8385-41f29d1e7a52&algo_expid=a78a56dd-95d7-4f02-8385-41f29d1e7a52-2 I don't know if anyone found better price ?
  18. I guess you have several options. Keeping the original settings with 2 motors, and adding servos for motorising the gearbox switchs. I think someone made it in the past but unfortunately, the ldd file vanished from Lego's site. You could also try to add one motor per functions by using 2 buwizz or using one buwizz with 2 sbrick or 2 of receiver but you may have to switch between different controllers. Or keep some functions manual like the outriggers. Using only one buwizz I would try the first option.
  19. Yes I can confirm that using the supplied cable is mandatory which is quite strange. I also like those black parts with alterning holes. The quality of the red panels is not that good althought as they look lighter and as if they were a bit translucent. At least, CaDa doesn't seem to try to make bootlegs from existing lego set or steal moc as lepin or other chinese knock-offs. The design of the crawler is not really good. I built the speed version and it's not really fast and as nearly no torque. unfortunatly, you need to dismantle the entire model to build the max torque version. That being said, I didn't have high expectations and I had a good customer experience so I can't complain. I discovered today that CaDa seems to have made lately a partnership with Yoshihito Isogawa featuring his books : The Lego PF Idea books (vol 1 and 2) including books and the needed parts (minus XL motors and big linear actuators) in a cool package. I find this is a good idea . IMHO, Lego could do the same with Sariel's book.
  20. If you're on the budget side, you may look at C51028w in blue flavour, which come with only one L motor. Alternativly, C51043W, is a newly released buggy and it comes with a complete PF set for making your own RC moc (battery, remote, one L motor, one servo and one PF light)
  21. I'm not sure which rim is the 42775. But I guess 15038 rims from 42077 (in red) or from 42070 (in yellow) should fit any 1.9" tires. You can see some budget ones mounted on red rims a few post above. Those are Austar 3020B. You can buy 4 of them (rim included) from Gearbest for less than 15 euros. The tires are not glued which is a plus if you want to use original lego rims. If not the austar rims can be used with lego with very little modification. Just need to enlarge a little the mounting hole and force a conical z12 wheel inside the rim. Then use a pair of pulley 4185 to mount the rim onto the steering hub.
  22. Fantastic C model. Great use of panels including stickers. How many parts are left from the original model ? BTW, your liftgate truck was also really clverly designed. Thanks for sharing with us.
  23. Casa C51041 is on sale today (China black Friday or something like that)... Less than 30 euros.
  24. Ok I had a hard time to find it again but here you are : https://tieba.baidu.com/p/5648419280?pn=1 It looks like it was hard for the owner to dismantle the battery box whereas it was quite easy for me. Don't know why....
