  1. Nice work! Great achievement to get the boom working at this scale as already mentioned by SaperPL. I also think the overal look suffered somewhat from the very small scale but great engineering achievement.
  2. Try to center the set in the Builder Screen, if still not visible, try to zoom in or out, the build is probably very small or outside the view window.
  3. Looks good, nice job!. I have done about the same but I like tiled floors.

    16x32 MOCs

Two 16x32 next to each other in the street you want to construct does not save space vs. a 32 x 32 baseplate. Anyway, here's my Caribbean inspired 16x32 Scuba Shop with free instructions.
  5. Tipper done and made a Stud.io render with the 8479 Barcode Truck as I do not have the original model. I really like the novelty (at the time) of the Code Pilot with cable flex system and could buy the original, but I actually do not want so many light gray parts in my brick collection. I'm planning on making free instructions and/or share the Stud.io file via the contest entry topic.
  6. Just yesterday it annoyed me again too. Such a great tool but the flex part is horrible. I started flexing an 11L hose and on the first touch on the end it flexes to 14L or something. But in the end I succeeded with an 11L hose and a lot of temporary clicking points by making the whole path with small claws first. Bézier curves seems to be the solution but this forum is actually not the place to make suggestions, the Bricklink Stud.io forum is. But no doubt it has been brought up there too.
  7. Here's where I am now, cabin and tire dumper done, fake Code Pilot in. Green hose on the sides will bend in, Stud.io won't let me do that correctly. Waiting for the rare green parts to arrive. Next is designing the tipper, should be the easiest part.
  8. Kudos for trying and sharing the result even if not satisfactory! The machine itself looks very good but unfortunately only works in your head, I know the feeling from creating intrinsic GBCs and also experienced failure after many attempts. Have you tried spraying the whole thing with PTFE (dry Teflon)? Because it seems the main obstacle is friction and synchronizing everything on one motor (like in GBC). PTFE helps for me to keep friction lower. Also some gear combinations work with less friction when using the new straight tooth gears instead of the bevelled gears.
  9. Amazing how bad the availability of (studless) green Technic is. I knew it was bad but not this bad, especially small/thin beams. Busy with the cabin and trying to avoid System parts.
  10. The chassis with functions is ready and sturdy, the drive for the tire dumper (two directions) and tipper is in and working well. Now onto making the tire dumper functional without the flex cables. Thinking about using strings through 3mm rigid hose, should be possible. Within the contest 3rd party strings and hoses are permitted but I want to keep it 100% LEGO although they probably will need some cutting.
  11. Yes the Osprey. I feel it's giving an advantage as it is 'romanticised' by a large audience but when allowed it is allowed and a great choice.
  12. I see a great entry but for a set that was never released and sold. Is that allowed? It seems it will get more attention that way. If allowed it's fine.
  13. Lots of great entries in the TC25! I'm here now, finished the chassis with all the gears for the tire dumper and tipper for three gear racks on the road for 'coding'. I've build sections to test but now it's time to fully build the chassis. Also ordered some rare green parts. The seats are somewhat big for the scale but I actually like them this way and they also give room to the tire dumper. The steering wheel turns together with the HoG like in the original model but positioning is more realistic (room for legs). If all mechanics work I continue with the tire dumper arm and cabin. The tipper has the same mechanism as the original but smaller. If that runs too heavy I might revert to an actuator.
  14. If it is a rigid hose it is probably a 3mm? The pneumatic tubing is 4mm. Anyway, great progress so far! Cutting to 1L length is perfectly fine, especially because we have so little room to work with. I probably need a 1,5L hose to get some sort of working steering wheel in next to the HoG.
  15. 4 functions intended indeed by having the two functions in two directions but I already reduced the tipper to one function because the tipper is emptied driving backwards and lowered again by driving forward. So there will be three gear rack strips in different positions in the required length to complete the movements. I intend to integrate the claw and dumper as one movement, when the claw grabs the tire it cannot grab more and the lift is initiated. This basically the same movement as in this GBC when emptying a bucket, this is one movement but I have to make it much smaller . If all fails there will be no geared grabber but one with a rubber band to clamp the wheel. The steering hand on the HoG steering is probably in the way when pushing forward and dumping the tire, not sure how to solve that other than to grab the truck somewhere else and push forward. The original Barcode Truck was also not flawless in this respect because it had only 1 motor and a selector to switch between dumper and tipper and the motor had to be moved for drive. So I feel my version also does not need to be perfect to match the original . All can be read in this excellent review of 8479.
  16. Good progress and nice idea with the 'picture hanger' (67139)
  17. Perhaps. The chassis with tires is 14L wide. If it needs guides. I'll put some panels on the side of the 16L road for guidance if needed but for now I have just put white lines there. So I hope it is just a matter of keeping it between the lines :) . Meanwhile I'm preparing the gearing for the 4 functions so there will be 4 gear rack strips. I hope to show something physical soon but at home remodeling of the kitchen starts this weekend.
  18. Same opinion and earlier mentioned gift here. For the 90 years LEGO campaign I contributed to a national newspaper, the gift for that was 5 times more substantial while I contributed 6 videos/builds for this campaign while also making an effort in taking titles and comments out.

    [MOC] Finland

Nice MOC! In 2016 I created a sauna, showers and dressing room as part of a squash centre. I also used 'polished' Classic Spaceman but also found a naked torso with a belly.
  20. Very nice, great details on every facade and corner!

    Ultimate City layout

Sure you can. Have you checked prices? Any elevation makes a city much more interesting, not only trains or monorails. But it is hard/expensive to achieve. The Green Zone in the LEGO House is a good example of what can be done with an unlimited brick supply.
  22. On the remote I'm using the center button to switch between three modes. My Load Zone MOC on Rebrickable has the Pybricks file as a download, it's easy to see how I programmed the modes.
  23. 16 x 32 modular with 3 floors in (Dutch) colonial style. Ground floor has a scuba shop to rent out scuba dive gear. In the back a shower area to rinse off the salt water after a dive. 2nd floor has a working air compressor with pneumatics! It is operated by hand outside the modular. An attic with storage space completes the modular. This modular has a working service lift that can reach all floors and is operated by hand. A while ago I acquired my Padi diving certificate on St. Statia so connecting the Caribbean design with a Scuba Shop seemed logical.
