Anything OT. I have to agree the vast majority of the prequel ships are horrible. The basic storylines are fine, but I think they should totally be redone. Force awakens are tolerable, and I have mixed feelings from what I've seen from rogue one, but reserving judgement until I see it.

Interesting question... I just built mine last December, but I have already forgotten. I had a peek at mine, and you probably wouldn't want to do the bottom section, as it would get very top heavy, but I think you could get away with doing this with the top 2 sections. Not really sure what purpose it would serve though.

The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
Dukeside replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That's about an exact list of what I want minus the Vaders Tie, although I wouldn't be mad at a new version. I gotta think with Disney taking over, they want to put out the popular sets asap, so I would think MF and ISD would be high up on the list for a re-release. -

Jealous! One of the only UCS sets I don't have that I still want!

A letter or email? What address did you use? I've spent so much money on Lego I feel like I can give them some advice.

[MOC] UCS CR-90 Corellian Corvette – Blockade Runner (Tantive IV)
Dukeside replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Another amazing design! I would be curious to see this next to the UCS to see the differences. Would also love me some LDD as I cannot justify purchasing he UCS set at the current price. Plus yours looks better anyway!- 129 replies

Although Hoth is overpriced I am fine with the set since I missed all the previous Hoth sets, and eBay sellers want to price gouge everyone. I don't care for resellers buying up tons of sets and inflating prices. I just want to build Lego. I do not like the Death Star re-release but in a way it's good for the same reasons. I am hoping resellers will stop buying up sets and let us who love Lego to buy them. I am hoping Lego will release some older sets for the same reasons. A 40th anniversary MF would fit the bill nicely!

The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)

I don't really even like the Slave I but I bought the UCS set anyway and I have to say it is pretty awesome. Almost perfect especially looking at the older Slave sets. Lego UCS seem to get better and better all the time. (Minus Hoth or Death Star arguably). The Tie Fighter is also very good, although lego still has some problems with curves (which is why cars look not great). Although that is kind of the lego look like it or not. I hope we see an updated Falcon, and new Cloud City. Also wouldn't be mad at Star Destroyer release since I don't have the original. -
It sounds like you live on the east coast any chance you'll come out west to show case this beast? I would love to see it!

Oh my God! This is the most impressive Lego I think I've ever seen. I will never be able to build this and that makes me sad.

I realized later I posted in the wrong thread - apologies. Thanks for the info. $800+ Isn't too bad for this behemoth. I'll put it on the list. So many projects on here I want to do!

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

For 10179 (if you want to swap colors to save money) I would recommend swapping the light/dark bluish gray connector pieces that are used for the rear engine and landing gears. It's much cheaper and you will never notice the difference. I bricklinked mine last December for around $1400 almost all new pieces. I could have done it cheaper with more patience but it was my first project so I wanted stuff quicker and wasn't very experienced. -
[MOC] UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'
Dukeside replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Just curious if anyone has brick linked this beast and what the cost was. I'd be interested if I can keep it to a reasonable amount.
