  1. [MOC] LEGO Mack F700 Overdorp by Legorigs, on Flickr I found me some time to take a picture of one of my Macks. It's an F700 in the livery of the Dutch transporting company Overdorp. Although the company no longer exists, it still has a name in the Netherlands because they had quite an impressive fleet of these kind of Macks. The raised roof and extended cab were made on special order by the company. It took me a while to build, but it sure was fun seeing this moc evolve. I added custom chrome and decals as the finishing touches. Just last week I bought this photobackground. It's in a gunmetalish gray metalic look. My lighting made it multicolourish.
  2. I couldn't tell you from what set, but dark red is correct.
  3. Great job on this Pete. I like the colors.
  4. Thanks for the feedback Eric. Highly appreciated.
  5. It's impressive.
  6. Wow, 25K (that's 25000, right)... did you use 1x1 plates ;-)
  7. In this version I use panels 1x1 corner and 1x2 (in red). The idea is to make the hinge pivot on the 2x2 corner plates (in yellow here). Due to the panels you got some room to let te hinged-plate pivot. I placed a few 1x1 round plates to space out the hinges. The 2x2 I would place in the door. Alter to your needs.
  8. Well, you could use what Kiwi_Builder posted.
  9. Yeah, I thought it would be time to make some time to take some pictures (other then at some show).
  10. [MOC] LEGO Mack CL by Legorigs, on Flickr For some reason I just like the look of this type of Mack so I had to build one. I made the hood in between some other builds and I left it for a while. But I didn't forget it and once I decided it had to be a simple working truck, nothing fancy, I could finish in a steady pace. It's now on my shelf hauling a logtrailer. It has become a real workhorse.
  11. Well, there isn't a one for all solution. The amount of space in your model is key in this. In the model of the Actros you mention, the corners of the cabin are made out of macaroni bricks. In real the door starts very close to the front, so you don't have much space to get your hinges in. What did you try already?
  12. Due to the thickness of the brick door, you'll need a double hinge to open the door. An other method is you fit plates and tiles on the side so you'll have some more space between the door and the cab. I hope this helps you figure something out that will work for your model.
  13. [MOC] LEGO Mack CL by Legorigs, on Flickr Thanks Rotundus. I guess my headache rack could be a bit bigger then. I hope the Oregon licenseplates do make it right ;-).
  14. M_Longer, you could be right about that frame. Shapewise it could be build from bricks, but then I would have to figure something out to get it incorporated into the SNOT'ed front of the truck. It caused me a lot of headaches to think of a way already. For now I settle to this solution. ;-)
  15. I say a hip hip hooray for this section of EB.
  16. Just blame MACK for the similarities, but it is a whole different truck. They share the same legacy though. Anyway, I like it so far. I hope you can get all the axles on it. Hope to see it finished.
  17. The van still looks great, though. Even for beiing that innacurate
  18. Looks great. Only thing is that there should be some dark gray in it.
  19. Nicely done. You might want to extend the back so the bulldozer has something to push on.
  20. The bluetooth on my Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-19515 isn't stable enough to make use of an sbrick, so you wouldn't want to get one of those. My Samsung Galaxy tab tablet on the other hand works like a charm.
  21. Great work so far. In my opinion the neck of the swan on the side of the bowl could be a bit longer and I think you need some more room for the apron. In the neck there's also a hydraulic boom that can open and close the apron. See B in the first image. Second image shows the working of boom and apron.
  22. An 11200 is quite something to buidl..If this wouid be your first project, I'd recommend rather start with something smaller. Just to get an idea of what you're up to.
