Yes, i bought it because it was a set i wanted. I wasn't very aware of the pricing on MISB sets yet. If i was, i would've never ever opened it. The Explosion Studio is also a lot older than the Cafe Corner so it's much rarer to come across an MISB one, especially for just €14.

I bought an MISB Explosion Studio once for €14... And i opened it.

Ah, just what i wanted to ask. Can my name be changed into WSM? I don't like this old name at all. It reminds me of the past... *thinks of the past* *tries to forget as quickly as possible*

Well, i finally went and photographed this one. I already took it to the previous LowLUG meet where a lot of people could see it already. I didn't feel like photographing it because it has the wrong canopy colour, and i'm super picky when it comes to that stuff. But i haven't been able to get my hands on one, and i decided to photograph it without it, as it's still a cool MOC and i want to share it with everyone. Enjoy! Be sure to check the full album on Flickr!

Thanks for all the comments! Here's the Neo-Classic Space colour scheme. I believe it's compiled by Pete Reid, so you can guess how serious it is. I'm usually picky about the colour scheme as it MUST be taken strict, but here i'm slightly being a hypocrite as my personal variation on the scheme consists of just building the mechanical bits in grey and adding panels and wings in blue. I feel it's more appealing and striking than building an entirely greebled-up grey base ship and wings and then add a small hint of blue at the cockpit, and it's more realistic (although... realistic spaceships? Uh...). And technically the wings ARE grey, but i've added some blue on top as panels. Yeah the bubble canopy in general is a nice piece. There's not many canopies and similars in Trans-Yellow and this Trans-Yellow one in particular has only appeared once, in a really big Atlantis set. I bet i was lucky i could find it! It was only available in 3 Dutch BL stores, 2 after i used one in my LL Gouw.

I normally use grey for all greebly things and blue for all panels and besides that i just build in the standard colour scheme.

Lego Classic Space - 1665 - LL Gouw by WSM_, on Flickr I finished this spaceship about two weeks ago, but as you know, the Neo Classic Space colorscheme is very strict, so i swore by getting myself a Trans-Yellow canopy before taking pictures. I hoped the guy i bought it from would attend the LUG meet i showed this model at a week ago, but sadly not, so i had to show it there with the wrong canopy (a Trans-Black one). So here it finally is! There's way more photos on Flickr which are definitely worth to check. :) Enjoy!

Whoa. That's just an overkill of clips... but a good one. Really interesting. The shape when it's folded out is excellent. I'd like to see how it looks if you'd not put the... uh, clipping black wing thingies upside down so that the stickers show. I think they would greatly accompliment the transparent blue dishes on the back.

Starting a LUG for Teens?
WoutStopmotion replied to houstonproductions1's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I'm under 18 and i'm just as interested in Lego, buying Lego, building with Lego, participating in Lego events and talking about Lego as most AFOLs are. In fact, i attended my first LUG meet last Sunday and i had a lot of fun! I don't really think there's a need for a LUG specifically for teens, you can probably participate in normal LUG activities fine too. -
Today the Dutch LUG held a meetup which i attended! It was my first meetup and it was a lot of fun meeting other builders, swapping parts, figs, and other stuff and generally seeing and showcasing MOCs. I took some photos and you can see them on Flickr.

I never like people who slap a bunch of sets on a bunch of baseplates and call it a display. "Look at me! I've just spent 4000 dollars on this totally unique modular street!" You're supposed to be creative with Lego. Take your stuff apart and build something with it yourself, you have plenty of bricks it seems. Displaying premade sets on a table is the most lazy and uncreative thing you can do as a Lego fan.
