Bad news guys, the armor pieces I wanted to buy from BrickWarriors aren't in Pearl Gold but I did get an email that they should have them restocked within a few months being Pearl Gold!

Boy, has there been a lot of talk here! Had to scroll through an entire page worth of comments!

On another note, I'm about 3/4ths done with a Sultan's Gate build... and pretty happy with how it's looking so far!

Okay, so I hear there is a Civil War coming up sometime soon and I'm behind on the events, can someone bring me up to speed?

Each challenge of this book (the sequence of events around one storyline, we are currently in book 2) revolves around a civil war or internal conflict in each guild. Nocturnus went first with a full fledged civil war, Avalonia went second with a minor disagreement of what should be done about the Drow, Mitgardia will be next, then something will happen in Kaliphlin that will result in side v. side, then we will end again with another Nocturnus conflict. I have only been leaving hints to what will happen in Kaliphlin, but expect once the Mitgardian conflict begins to happen more leadup to our own challenge.

Okay, thanks for bringing me up to speed. And this is when we may encounter those Greek baddies you mentioned?

Yep... After I get done with the battle, and get back from a long research trip, I will start doing some of the intro builds. We will then see some sort of mini challenge to help establish the leaders for the two sides (this is how the last two challenges started). I think I have a good one in mind.

Can I post my character's biography despite me not having any pictures of my character yet?

Yes.

Alright, cool! I'll post it sometime tomorrow because it's nearly midnight, where I live, but I think you'll like it. Though, you should note my character is not a human, but it'll be cool and interesting!

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I've posted here. Some may remember that I sought to build a city in Kaliphlin. I plan to make it Neo-Byzantine in style, a relic of a long-gone empire. It shall be ruled by a certain House Veran. All I wish is to gain permission to:

1) centre it's style solely on roman Byzantine architectures and minifigures

2) assert it as a major trading capital and size enough to rival Petraea itself

3) create a government almost independent from the guild of Kaliphlin, under The Lord Imperator Aurelius Veran

The Petraea General Trading Company is totally fine with this - as long as The Lord Imperator allows us free and unhindered trade with the city.

Out of curiosity, is the region in the mountains inhabited by a lot of people? And is a non-human race, like an Orc, welcome? Though, I was considering calling it the Blood Elves or something cool but I don't know, any ideas?

It all depends on whether or not its existence is permitted, preferably in a green area, by the sea, and away from any potential rivals

Always refreshing to see someone take up such an ambitious project. You should see the HSS Registry about how to qualify your city for recognition on the official Historican maps.

Considering it's a mountainous region (devoid of good farmland and trade opportunities) I doubt the mountains would harbor many inhabitants.

Okay, I was considering putting my inhabitants in the mountains but I'm not too sure considering some socialism between my people and the rest of Kaliphlin would be good, I'll think about a location for a bit longer then.

Behemoth asks about the mountainous region. Here is a map of the Nestlands. Each mountain is claimed by a sect of clans, upon which dot several villages. The valley town, Cobalt Vale, is where all the heads of the clans meet, the center of trade for the clans, and where political relations with outlanders are settled. The area around the villages is sub-tropical rainforest.

NO problem with 1. 2, may be difficult but doable. 3, most of the cities already run as independent governments. Kaliphlin is more a loose confederation that is bound together through trade ties and military ties. Only in once in a blue moon is there a Kaliphlin leader that establishes supremacy.

Looking for green land is a little harder in Kaliphlin. Much of what is still green is controlled already, although there is technically land disputed between Avalonia and Kaliphlin on the coast north of Eastgate beyond inlets of the Inland Sea. Eastgate controls much of the Red River region and the Insland Sea region, with its new sister city of Carn being a large force of trade on the Inland Sea too. If you want to go inland, we technically have another forest north of Sultan's Gate bordering the central territory that is Cedrica. I think the road is called the Eastern Mountain Road -- but I can't remember for sure. However, there is no real map of Northern Kaliphlin where it borders with Cedrica's lands -- probably because some of these are disputed too.

Out of curiosity, is the region in the mountains inhabited by a lot of people? And is a non-human race, like an Orc, welcome? Though, I was considering calling it the Blood Elves or something cool but I don't know, any ideas?

There are a few places, like the Nestlands, but there are a lot of mountains to choose from.
