Legofin2012 Posted July 12, 2013 (edited) One of the 4 Teridyan gates, not then main gate, but still an important one. Summer, Lord Finlay and Kyle return from the visit of an old friend: The Teridyan sausage bird sit in the tree near it's nest. Winter, a knight who lost last nights bets returns from cutting down wood: Under attack from a dark sorcerer and his army, who were soon defeated: There is a pic of the rear but didn't really like it so didn't post it here (it's on Flickr though). Captain Settle Posted July 12, 2013 Nice gate, and I like the different variations. Does the drawbridge really close?
soccerkid6 Posted July 12, 2013 One of your best yet! I like the dark bley accents and the archer slits look great Excellent rockwork and tree; that bird design is very clever
Legofin2012 Posted July 12, 2013 (edited) Thanks, and yes it does close, the back of the tower opens at the back, and in there is the mechanism. @SK: you did say to make it my best! Yes the Teridyan sausage bird, so many cool bird designs, but never seen one using a sausage piece! So yeah, thank you! Captain Settle Posted July 12, 2013 Oh, I just noticed the use of hobbit hair as a nest. Nice.

Esurient Posted July 12, 2013 I like how you built your tree using droid arms! Very nice!
Ragnar_Deerslayer Posted July 13, 2013 Are those archer slits made using minifig legs? It looks very good. I also like the ice in the moat during the winter (as well as the snow on the top of the castle walls). Ragnar
Legofin2012 Posted July 13, 2013 Thanks to both, I needed a way to make the branches of the tree so droid arms seemed like a good choice. Yes they are legs, but I think it might of been used before...

Maxim I Posted August 8, 2013 I like this gate! The only thing I am not really fond of is the water, maybe use some trans blue/dark blue pieces
Legofin2012 Posted August 9, 2013 Thanks, was going to but trans blue tiles, but run out before I could get to the end.
