Liebherr PR 776 Litronic Mining Dozer

Recommended Posts

Well, my Scania SLT was only built to have a proper Transport solution for this one. Picture Source

PR776_Overburden_BK.jpg

The scale will be roundabout at 1:16,7to fit to all the 19 wide Trucks out there. Width at the outside of the tracks will be 25 Studs. Wheelbase of the primary track Rollers will be 28 Studs, Height overall roundabout at 33 Studs.

The length overall? I guess roundabout 75 Studs with Ripper.

The main problem probably will be a proper raise height of the shield without destroy the look.

Enough words. time for the first Progress

It's nice to see that someone has taken up such an interesting topic, I have been preparing myself for some time to the dozer (another manufacturer), but it will be some time;)

Knowing how interesting is the geometry of the blades in dozers and how difficult it is to construct real ones ;) I wonder how much you reproduce the movements of the blade: only lifting and tilting or full range: lifting, tilting and pitch?

I will be happy to review the progress of work :)

The pitch of the blade is on the to do list, but first i have to get the look and how much i can squeeze in it.

Lol, better lazy than Crazy

See, the problem is that I have few 1:17 scale models in different stages, but almost all need rebuilding from scratch. That concrete beam transporter I was showing earlier is one of them. But I must say that looking at your ideas give me some motivation for building them :)

Sounds good.

I had to rebuild the bonnet a bit too because the main angle was a bit to large.

Trying to recreate that odd shapes is hard. I remember my struggles when I was making PR 764:

Maybe it should go to the Lego scale modeling forum, don´t you think?.

While true....let's keep it here for a while and enjoy the build.

Ssssst. Don't tell the guys in the SMF

My question is which sprockets do you plan to use (since I did not look after sprockets size if real machine)?
