Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return - Hovels

Being confused, is there a chance it will use its free hit, assuming it has one, to kill itself? And unfortunately, Petaldan should be confused and not slowed, because he was fighting from the back row.

I use a Remedy on Torald hoping that I don't accidentally hit him instead.

"I'd be a shame of you to go out like this, Lawrence", Eric grinned, "Here lies Lawrence Boomingham, Veteran of the Orcish Wars, killed by spores."

Eric uses a Remedy on Boomingham.

"Shrooms and whores, well, that would be a good death. But spores? Naah, not this time."

I forget how slowed works...will the slowed people be able to act this round or only next round?

QM Note: The spores will not attack itself.

QM Note: Those who are hastened can still act normally, those who are just slowed can act this turn but not the next.

Ezeran uses a Remedy on Torald. If Petaldan is successful in remedying Torald, Ezeran uses a Remedy on Skuld.

Boomingham repeats.

Battle Order:

Eric

>Boomingham

Petaldan

Ezeran

>Torald

>Skuld

Germ

I put the attackers in the back row and the non-attackers in the front. Germ I left in the front because he is Lucky, so he's less likely to be affected by the Special.

OoC: I can’t recall if Doomed would kill us this round if we failed to kill the spore - looks like it doesn’t matter since we all remedied up, but it would, right?

Boomingham shifts around in his bag, preparing the apple he got with Eric the previous time they fought together, but the Norseman tosses him a remedy instead and Boomingham repeats his attack. “Aye. Here’s hoping the thing that actually kills me at least knows it’s doing it,” he notes, staring down the irksome and inanaimate shrooms.

Use a Potion on Skuld

As Germ is holding the empty bottle. And looking at the Orange Spores an idea pop into his head.

These Orange Spores could make some decent bombs. I could use some help gathering the Spores, if I do this right we will have some extra fire power.

Germ start to gather the spores. He goes into the other room to grab some lose papers. And makes a funnel to stick in the empty bottle. After filling the bottle with the Orange Spores, he twist the paper to make a wick.

As he is holding the home made bomb, Germ ask. Should I test it, or just make some more?

You can test them, just wait till I'm like a mile and a half away before you do. That doesn't look save at all.

"Wouldn't worry about it. We were going down the hole eventually one way or another." Boomingham gives the Tiny Shroom and Emerald to Torald, the pickled mushrooms to Germ, Ezeran, Eric and Petaldan, and keeps the 20 gold for himself, along with the Rose Bouquet.

"Well, hate to say it but it looks like a bit of a dead end. Unless one of you mages thinks you can open this passage back up." Boomingham surveys the room and the plant to see if there is anything else of note.

Would the marketplace have something we could use? I guess I could get one of those "Magic Compass" (and "Telescope") it seems no one has any. We could get a few other things too.

"Well, that's too bad," Eric muttered as he peered down the hole. "This stuff is all kinds of crazy. Why would some dark plant druid be interested in this place?"

He stepped over to the rug and lifted it up with Conspirator to see if there was anything behind it.

Noticing the gasp from the demon symbiont. That feeling you are getting might be from a very strong Demon. If it is going where I think it is going, it is very far away all the way to Dastan.

I feel safer going down that "hole" before we collapsed it. I am definitely going to the marketplace. Before you guys Force me to go through that portal.
