JeremyJoy Posted November 26, 2017 (edited) Hi there, for some years I've watched this forum from outside, and I always liked the Winter Village Themes and MOCs! For the severals last years I collected the Winter Sets and now every year the kids and me are buildung our Winter Village in the time before christmas. This year we combined all the sets the first time to a whole diorama for our one-day christmas market in our church, added some little things, "winterized" two mountain huts, and so on. I got a lot of inspiration from other members in this forum (don't be mad if I copied your ideas!) - and now I hope you enjoy our team work, the kids mostly build the houses. Brickviller V2 Posted November 26, 2017 That looks really nice! I instantly get that feeling from when I was a child and watched those large christmas layouts they had at my shopping mall
NewTown Posted November 26, 2017 Very nice! Was the large snowman an official set? I would like to find the instructions to build him.

adwind Posted November 27, 2017 Very nice job! We're doing ours this year as well but will need much more white details so probably will be able to show our creation only next year. Thanks to all those AFOLs who shows their Winter Village mocs and inspire others! )) Best theme ever!

Mr Lyo Posted November 30, 2017 beautiful small village, so many details. i like how you managed to make it all blend together like it is one big set. the Church is really nice and the whips to make the sleigh, genius! the cosmic cruiser it is one of the first lego set i got as a kid, also the first one i recreated when i got out of my Darkage. it always amaze me how my kids like these old sets as much (if not more) then the newer ones. TheLegoDr Posted December 1, 2017 Well done. It looks like quite the scene. I've been wanting to do one, but I never have time or space. I should figure it out just once and take pictures to share with people. I like a lot of the details. The figure placement works well. Good idea on the sleepwalker. Noticed you are not displaying the vehicles that came with the sets (Station van, Post office truck and the Cottage pickup truck). Did you run out of room or just don't like these? Only ask as I am putting up my first WV display this year. Design included a road for them to travel on. I only have the station van and a moc pickup. Still building my WV empire, don't have as many bricks as you, getting there thou. I didn't really make a road, there just parking before the post office and the train station. 2017 11 25 LEGO Winterlandschaft 28 by Jeremy Joy, auf Flickr 2017 11 25 LEGO Winterlandschaft 25 by Jeremy Joy, auf Flickr On 30.11.2017 at 5:49 PM, Mr Lyo said: beautiful small village, so many details. i like how you managed to make it all blend together like it is one big set. the Church is really nice and the whips to make the sleigh, genius! the cosmic cruiser it is one of the first lego set i got as a kid, also the first one i recreated when i got out of my Darkage. it always amaze me how my kids like these old sets as much (if not more) then the newer ones. Thanks. The idea with the whips to make the sleigh wasn't mine... it's out from a book ("LEGO Tricks" by Joachim Klang, Tim Bischoff, Philipp Honvehlmann) The cosmic cruiser is one of my favouritt sets, too. And one of the first sets I ever got for christmas ;-) And thank you all for your nice comments!
